Guys, could we stop here? No one can judge Eteri, since she’s out of our jurisdiction, but people can have opinions about her and can criticise her actions and her methods freely, as long as it’s not turned into a personal bashing.

Since this isn’t exactly the first time a student leaves Eteri with a scandal, I think we have every ground for suspecting a pattern there. And you know, unofficial information such as information from insiders is information nonetheless. Especially if their earlier stories turned out to be true.

If gossip got around to fan forums, the Federation did know about it. That’s the insider’s information - people who do have things to do with the Federation. So if the people from the Federation knew, Eteri knew. It’s a fact. This analogy with lovers baffles me - do you really have such an intense relationship with your bosses that you can’t survive two days without your replying to them? Zhenya left on April 14th, she was back on April 23, she had every right to keep silent because she was in a diffirent country. And a boss who gets as suspicious as this of a subordinate who’s busy doing something else and then goes off on a holiday is laghable to me. The only thing I would have thought is there’s some problem with the email/communication. And no, I won’t cut a person out of my life because they don’t answer to me. In fact, I won’t cut a person out of my life even after they go on to work for someone else.

I protest. This is not and should never be as intense a relationship as with between sexual partners. In professional spheres, you don’t delete someone from your life because you suspect they are trying to find another job. You don’t delete them because they don’t answer your emails either - especially if they’re busy doing other professional things such as shows in Korea at the time. Look, if we Russian fans knew this for weeks, there’s no way Eteri didn’t know. None. The gossip was rife and it was everywhere.

Guys, could you calm down and tone down, please. No need to go at each other’s throats. I understand what blame could be put down at Medvedeva’s door right now, but what Eteri said in that phone interview is petty and mean. Let’s wait for what happens tomorrow - Zhenya either gets out to go to Canada or... retires. No way she can stay in Russia and compete - Eteri has got enough of a clout over here to prevent her from doing that. And Zhenya won’t fare very well with any coach in Russia.

I don’t know how much Eteri can or cannot do, but she’s petty and vindictive. Sorry for calling a spade a spade for once - I remember those interviews after Yulia and Adian left. They were full of spite.

An insider said that Polina will be cut off from life line - meaning Eteri will prevent her from skating with anyone.

I actually do believe Zhenya could have said those words - but they would have been the words of a badly shocked and shaken girl. She did regain control soon enough and went over to hug Alina. Now the worst thing is not that Zhenya said it, but that Eteri betrayed her trust. You don’t give away what people reveal to you in such a state.

The dumbest thing - Eteri claims she learnt about everything from the news. Yeah right, your own group in vk has been deleting stuff for weeks!

Oh, what I remember for now - Eteri claims she has been trying to track down Zhenya by text messages in mid-April, but Zhenya wouldn’t answer. She said that Zhenya cried out when she lost: “Why couldn’t you withhold Alina for another year as a junior?” And she’s mortally offended with Brian Orser and his dismissive words about Sasha Trusova - which were misinterpreted on our TV. So she takes this as a challenge from Orser. Lol That woman will never grow up. The battle lines are here.
