  1. I am glad Hybe is aggressively going after the slanderers. (and saw the notice all over Twitter this morning -). The blinks are being bored... but typically nasty. They aren't specific in their notice but they say "groups" and individuals. Organized. They almost never actually pin point an individual that they are trying too go after criminally (except when the stalker got into Tae's building). I wonder what laws are present in Korea that will allow them to target those who target BTS. And happy that Namjoon has a good director, especially after the job that was done on Yoongi's concert film. 45 days until Jin is back....
  2. More thoughts on the MHJ melt-down press conference: She is overpaid and, it seems, all Hybe had initiated was an audit and wanted her company computer back. There may have been some rumors floating around but the world didn't know, nor did the NJ fans. If she didn't feel reasonably certain she was going to have criminal charges against her, she'd have not called for that press conference where her main goal seemed to be to turn herself into a victim of the evil Hybe - which alone demonstrates her desire to harm Hybe. No one has said she was about to be fired or that NJ would be taken away from her management. She has now made it impossible for there to be a reconciliation with Hybe ( and I bet her lawyers knew that -). Hybe has been pretty restrained in their public response to her vicious, self-serving attack. I think that the k-netz taking her side are likely young and not aware of what "breach of trust" actually encompasses. As I wrote yesterday - it's the same as what most of the world calls corporate fraud and it's a big deal.
  3. If we want to talk about stealing concepts - the new NJ MV is so like TXT, especially early TXT, MV's. Except it's girls. The explanation of the press conference was very illuminating. MHJ is clearly a master or manipulation. I am surprised that more news about it don't point out that she never addresses the core issues. And she is solely responsible for the tensions now existing between fan groups. (I do not agree with her saying that Bang is in anyway a bad guy because he made our guys practice, practice, practice. That was what all idol groups would have to do and BTS members, and as a group, were extraordinarily self-motivated.) I think the upper management of Hybe will have already seen the sneaky tactics she is using and will make an effort to have a board meeting (I understand this will take up to two months) and oust her. They have already filed a criminal complaint. The release of RM's new album was likely set some time ago. Hybe is seeming to release new content every month or two. Fri(end)s was released mid-March. Hope in the Box was released a couple of months ago, though not here until a bit later than that. D-Day concert movie released a few weeks ago. Jimin's Close to You at the end of December. Jin will be back the second week of June. A steady release of new content for ARMY was clearly planned well in advance. RM's album just fits this scheme.... They have been relatively good to not have any overlap with any TXT releases, though there have been some close ones. So, my feel is that the NJ release is a MHJ maneuver to discredit Hybe and still try to diminish the value of Ador, even though it is clearly to a different market. She has, since 2019, created one, ONE, group and NJs are her only group. She is well paid. Overpaid, I'd say, so she shouldn't be playing the gender card. And @Whoopiewoop - that is SO sweet that you were there for that shy ARMY to make contact. Finding another ARMY in the wild is so fun. It's pretty common to see BTS or BT21 merch on people walking around in Seoul, but not anywhere else.
  4. I feel sorry for those girls - Hybe wants to protect them, (and they are actually Hybe property). They really invested a lot of $$ into Ador. I have a feeling there was a whistleblower who told Hybe about her plans....
  5. Totally agree on your perception of MHJ. They are NOT her girls. I didn;t know about the SHINEE thing - but know that our guys had to swim in t-shirts and have little emojis placed over exposed nipples, even a few years ago. It's only been in the "New Chapter" and a major boost in modeling contracts that we've seen chests -
  6. She's alive! Great to see you back. I just watched an Ariring News piece on this - the term "breach of trust" is not used in most countries. It translates to "corporate fraud". I guess the penalties are very stiff, but it would take a couple of years to get through the court system. Also read that, really, the concept of NJ belongs to Hybe and not MHJ personally. Hybe is the one who funded the creation of NJ. The lawyer on this program was a little strange, and said he isn't a K-pop expert but feels that most of the small girl groups are all pretty similar. Truly, most K-pop groups, male and female, are not too unlike the other groups. Trying to have a "concept" that is unique has to be difficult. BTS really created something that was unlike any previous group because they were allowed to have so much input into the music, even from early on. It wouldn't be a bad idea for Hybe to slow down all the subsidiary creation. (good to have you back, @amylance1215)
  7. Hope this gets passed: https://www.npr.org/2024/04/25/1247130677/musicians-congress-letter-ticketing-fans-first-act-billie-eilish-green-day
  8. Love this:
  9. Hybe has 80% so it wouldn't take much to get her fired. I'm sure they'd prefer she quit and she's already done so much damage to the "brand". I think she needs to check herself into a mental hospital.
  10. Why can't they flat out fire her, based on her documented treachery? Surely there are some Hybe people who she had tapped to go with her who can now, in order to save any possibility of working in the industry again, give evidence of her plans. This is going to cause more than just her to lose their jobs - and I have to believe that none of those who were critical in the early years of BTS, like PDogg or SloRabbit or Son Sung Deuk, who were involved in any of this. There were only so many employees in 2012, 2013, and I am sure they are as loyal as loyal can be. Also, none of the members will refer to this horror. Staying above the fray seems to be what most of the hierarchy will continue to do. I do feel sorry for the girls, though, and am glad that Hybe will do what they can to protect them. I really haven't a clue what any of the employee and subsidiary contracts look like, but feel reasonably certain that her treachery is illegal.
  11. Looks like it - I wonder how he can promote this while unable to promote it, other than with Instagram posts -- And I read that press conference transcript. Wow. She is seriously delusional.
  12. Wow. The sun is barely up here and this is what’s been going on since I went to sleep last night? I need coffee to digest all of it. IF Hybe has been on to her for at least half a year, they may have heard rumblings before that. Bang is too smart to not have had a clue, though the company has grown so fast, he can’t be on top of everything all the time. i suspect there will be a shake- up and many departures of the “mutiny” people. The Tae theory has merit- Coffee and then checking the latest on Twitter. Seriously WTF?
  13. I don't think anyone will be an actual "headliner" and even the most popular will only get maybe four songs. I don't think they even start until noon. I wonder how they get all the artists in and out of that festival - While this doesn't actually say anything about the quality of the film, I like her review of D-Day - and her take on Yoongi's maturing and mellowing out.
  14. TXT will be only a week off from their US tour and they'll be there. I imagine that while things are up in the air and this audit is continuing, Hybe will not be promoting them. Or maybe MHJ just said no. I'd say TXT is the biggest group in the lineup. But that's me. I cannot get over the audacity and delusion when she claims that she created BTS. The absurdity of that is glaring. I feel sorry for the girls, though. This is such a classic example of how toxic some management people can be (and I don't mean BigHit.). Jimin got two Webby awards -
  15. Such a sociopath, especially leaking info on medical stuff, for minors, but also for anyone. There was this as the 'next up" YouTube and has more info.
  16. Anyone even hinting that it was they who "created BTS'' is beyond delusional. i'd say I feel sorry for her but I don't, not even a little bit. She could say that she created k-pop and have as much credibility. Hoping i can get subs for this - https://www.threads.net/@purple_lovetae07/post/C6F_wv-PJ_B/?xmt=AQGz7G1kJ9FAnsY17bhrMUAFSQbH72CMhypOAcnSXCcEIw
  17. Now that I've read more, I get your point. If she had been an employee of Hybe, she'd have been fired long ago, releasing confidential info. Most of the thread about it seems to lean towards her and anti-Hybe. I actually tried to buy Hybe stock today because I can get international stock with my new broker (and it's not like I have some big portfolio), but it's Korea that is preventing sale of Korean stock outside the country. The country is worried that NoKorea and/or China will try to manipulate and destroy businesses.
  18. I shouldn't think this will affect the members or Hybe. The problem seems to be remedied. And they must have someone, either individually or as a group, to represent their interests. I should think individuals, since they all own differing amounts of Hybe and surely have someone whoo is looking after their financial business while they are in the military. What a bitch. A nice message -
  19. At least a little news...
  20. Oh - I like this clip. We've seen the Suchwita episode butt nice to revisit this tiny bit of history reminding us of the tough times for the members.... https://www.threads.net/@purple_lovetae07/post/C5_PKOhP_cH/?xmt=AQGz2eUZpkSVKfnb3t2l2gccEYdu-XBID3_ZkKo2ekXmhA
  21. Yes. A film following him on tour. Maybe. I hope they used a different editor and director than the concert film. There's already a Road to D-Day on Disney, so that makes this a little curious. It could be a "making of" similar to Jimin's production diary, but this seems like something else. They did release a lot of media (for free!) on Weverse about D-Day. I can't think of any other song on the album that there could be another MV for. Any guesses? It is cheering to hear him ask us to wait for him in 2025, especially since the last clip was shot shortly before he disappeared from view and enlisted.
  22. I love that the boys were into the music, too. Some little girls crying when they were going to leave. "Don't cry." I know that they have to perform in lots of places, but generally with kids who are at least teenagers. This is so sweet, and so easy to see how the members enjoyed it.
  23. It can't be actual Koreans harassing Master Park- Koreans are , if nothing else, extraordinarily age deferential. I think that the solo era was beneficial for each of the members and their growth as artists, but it was also inevitable that there would be an increase in individual stans. There are so many who think that JK and Tae should leave BTS and just stay solo. Part of this is because of their individual charms, but also because they were also the final two to have their solo stuff released. And Jin has been gone for 16 months - an eternity to an 18 year old fan. Time has made some forget where the individual artists came from and to where they will gladly return.
  24. I don't get to Seoul until maybe June 11 or 12th at the latest. Arriving as Jin is discharged, which is pretty cool, though I'll only be there until the 14th and then on to Jeju. I hope to get back to Seoul for a couple of days before I come back before the last week of July. Way too much time to be away from the dogs. And then I go back in September, maybe the 10th. I won't be there when Hobi is discharged, but who knows, maybe Jin will have some sort of performance after he's been home a couple of months. I may be in LA during the time it's there, if I can line up a dog sitter, but haven't been able to yet. But I still hope that Jin goes to Jeju for relaxation and some fishing. The chance of me bumping into him is about the same as me winning the lottery but you never know. The pop-ups will likely me pretty cool, but the Proof exhibit last May in LA was a bust and a waste of money. I had thought there would be some release or re-release that all ARMY could throw their money at.
  25. It is a pop up - which is kind of disappointing. I, too, am not wild that Tae was used for any kind of military promotional deal. And Jin has no grey hair - that's a glitch from the lighting. And I got my phone back after dark last night- but it''s not back on line yet - BTS_official ⁦‪@bts_bighit‬⁩ BTS POP-UP : MONOCHROME 🌎GLOBAL POP-UP SCHEDULE SEOUL: 04/26 - 05/12 TOKYO: 05/03 - 05/26 JAKARTA: 05/09 - 06/23 BANGKOK: 05/10 - 06/23 LA: 05/16 - 05/27 MANILA: 05/24 - 06/30 #BTS #방탄소년단 #BTS_POPUP #MONOCHROME #MNCR pic.twitter.com/o3YW8P8vcZ 4/17/24, 5:01 AM
