I had the feeling we’d get the announcement today. He is putting his health first and that’s such a relief. He must feel frustrated and sad to miss GPF a second time in a row. Hard decision but it means he’s thinking long term. Rest well golden boy, get pampered and have the best birthday with your family. We will be ready for you when you come back healthy.

I totally agree. What I meant was he shouldn’t be sorry, he skated beautifully on a busted ankle, which was his choice, probably not reasonable, but his to make nonetheless. He gave everything he had and shouldn’t be ashamed.
