No. If it happens it happens, but I"m not sitting there wishing or cheering for it. All athletes work hard. Be pissy at the over scoring, but that isnt on the athletes. Blame judging. Blame outside factors, but dont lay it only at the athletes feet for something they dont control. I know it's irritating, but I dont like taking it out on them.

It's almost like they see athletes as commodities and not actual people. Anything to make money, I suppose 😠. It's abhorrent.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I bought it via CD Japan and it wasnt bad-back then though I could do snail shipping because the virus wasnt around, so even shipping wasnt bad. It was more a kanji learning aide w/pretty pictures for me. Finding out about a translation a fan did was a huge bonus though. I do agree though, I think if his book was translated, fans here would buy it, but as you mentioned, having some proceeds go to the rink and region may make it difficult.

It may be worth a try, but I also know someone has already translated at least one of Aoi Hono books completely. All she asks is you purchase it and send her a copy of your book. Then she sends her complete translation. I did it a few years ago and her translation quality (imo) was really good. I know money is tight for some, so I'm not trying to be insensitive.

I stayed up late to watch it live and just got up. But I"m so thrilled he really seemed to enjoy himself. At first I was a bit worried, because the song reminded me of LGC and judges didnt seem on board with that program. But that wasnt the case here, fortunately. I loved the program.

Ok, gotcha. I'm pretty sure I know the incident you're talking about-I just didnt know it became even a small issue, but I suppose when you are both competitors tensions/defensiveness/sensitivity can flare at times 😅. So it makes sense-and as mentioned, they were still friends/on good terms

I know Denis made some quips about the fans sniping at him over a brief issue on the ice once and made a...bit of a...stretched comparison over it, but I didnt think that translated to him/them being on iffy terms. Lol! This is true. Sorry, yesterday was awful for me and some issues cropped up so I didnt finish my thoughts. The clip I'm hunting for, was during a skate draw I believe. He fell-or started to fall asleep pretty obviously in his seat, attracting glances from his neighbors. Camera panned out and Yuzuru was staring at him from like a row or two ahead. I've seen it as a gif a few times, but of course now I cant find it.

Does anyone have the infamous clip where Shoma falls asleep and Yuzuru kinda glares/stares at him? Vague, I know, but I lost my saved copy of it 😭

I. Am. So. Excited! I took a risk and asked a friend living in Japan to find some clear files for me 😭. I hated asking her because I felt like I was imposing💦. But she assured me the worst she could say was no, so I asked and she got me 2 clear files💕💕. She offered to get me others, but I felt bad 😅😂. So I passed. Gotta be content with what I got! Sadly, he did make mention that he most likely would be retired if not for Nathan pushing the bar a bit to make him feel compelled to match it. His competitive streak is no joke, nor is his determination and I feel he has that goal in mind now: 4A and matching Nathan. He doesnt strike me as the type of person who can relax for long. He says he was doing this season more for fun/himself. However, I think the truth of the matter is if that were all, he would have burned out by now. He cant take things easy his mind and ambition are too alert on what everyone else is doing for that, a relaxed time, to last long.
