  1. Cool, thanks so much for the information! Should I contact him/her directly? I'm still a 'shroom so I'm not sure how all this works. Thanks again!
  2. So is there any way to score one of those Ciontu t shirts? The ones with 'Continues' and the feathers? Or are they all gone? I can't even find one on eBay...
  3. So, my question is: why don't they move Worlds forward a couple of weeks or a month in Olympic years? I mean, obviously nobody's at the top of their game coming out of the Olympics and going straight into another intense championship. And it's not like the Olympics sneak up on anybody. As an organization and a sport, it's in everybody's best interest that any event feature healthy, uninjured, rested skaters at the top of their game. So why don't they just put the Worlds, like, a month forward every four years???
  4. Well, judging by his expression, that sure LOOKS like what's he's saying! Thanks! I just noticed too that the toothpaste actually has "White-O" on the package in English. I wonder why the predominent name wouldn't be in Japanese? I'm pretty sure White-O isn't an American/English brand. I'm also intrigued that we in the States have toothpaste named "Crest" and "Colgate" and "Aquafresh" and the toothpaste over there is called..."White-O." I'd actually go for a toothpaste called "White-O." Tells you exactly what it does!
  5. That's really interesting, thanks for sharing! I wonder what he's saying at 1:40? Whatever it is, it sounds really snarky! And everybody laughed. :-)
  6. I have a question - maybe it doesn't belong here, but if it doesn't just let me know and I'll go ask it in maybe General Skating Chat - but when all those skaters are out there practicing, how do they NOT run into each other? They don't know each other's routines, so how is it that they can all be practicing on the ice at the same time and they know they won't collide? Sorry for the ignorance but I'm just learning about the more technical side of this stuff...
  7. I think the Olympic Channel website took some of the videos, but I'm not sure about the practice videos. You could try there: www.olympicchannel.com. And yeah, NBC Olympics started removing the ice skating replays the Thursday after the games ended and a lot of people weren't happy about that, including me. With the Games taking place in Korea this year, a lot of people didn't have a chance to watch the coverage live and were catching up when NBC yanked the replays. I haven't checked if they'd pulled down the other sports too, but they pulled the ice skating first. NBC isn't getting any fans that way!
  8. Hi, and thanks so much for the kind welcome! I'll check out the links. Sorry, I typed 'Patrick' but I mean when he hugged Nathen Chen after Nathan got bumped out of the medals. I'm a fumblethumbs :-) EDIT: I found the clip I was looking for, sort of. It's this one: http://seobiiiiieluv.tumblr.com/post/170970115795/cr-wyzr (the forum wouldn't let me insert it) The reason I'm looking for it is it starts before most of the other clips of this moment that I've seen. It starts right when Fernandez enters the room and if you put headphones on and listen VERY CLOSELY you can hear Yuzuru say "Hi Javi!" right before he gets up and hugs him. Unfortunately the audio isn't very loud because an announcer starts talking about the moment right away, but I'm sure if an unedited version of this existed somewhere you could hear it better. But I haven't been able to track that down.
  9. Wow, nicely done! If Disney is looking for another subject for an inspirational Olympics story, they should look at a movie telling the stories of Yuzu, and Javier Fernandez, and Brian Orser's journey to Pyeongchang. All three overcame obstacles - Orser's disappointment in Calgary, Fernandez struggling with trying to achieve prominence in a country that doesn't really value figure skating (most young men in that country go for soccer), and of course Hanyu's experience with earthquake and injury. They all had to overcome to achieve their remarkable goals, and I think that would make a great movie!
  10. Hi everybody! I'm a new member on this board. I was introduced to the awesomeness of Yuzuru Hanyu during the Olympics, so now I'm catching up. :-) I do have a media request: I've seen lots of clips on Tumblr etc. showing the "green room" where the skaters who are first, second, and third sit. I've seen clips of Yuzu hugging Javi there, and Yuzu hugging Patrick Chan after he was bumped, etc., but I can't seem to find any complete segments where those clips came from. Do the complete segments exist? I know they weren't broadcast because they happened while other competitors were skating. Has anyone uploaded them? Thanks!
