Unfortunately not everyone has the integrity and good character of Yuzu who works above and beyond for everything he achieves Most people in life will coast by the benefits handed to them, no matter if they are deserved or not It's why I don't pay much attention to Men's FS apart from Yuzu (and Boyang) anymore... And Men's FS used to be my favorite event... (sigh)

I totally agree with you. I think all his performances are amazing, no matter if they are clean or not. I love his clean performances of course, being the absolute PERFECTION that they are. But his not clean performances, watching him pick himself up and fight on despite all the pain, my God what an inspiration. Whenever I feel down or depressed, watching Yuzu being so BRAVE and being such a STRONG AMAZING SPIRIT, that is so comforting and healing. He is the perfect example of being strong despite adversity, and we can all learn from his awesome strength of character.

Yes, Yuzu being the angel that he is, it's so like him to do that! This awesome human being deserves good things in life! It's disgusting the way the corrupt system treats him, but it makes Yuzu's determination all the more amazing!

Boyang has always been my favorite skater after Yuzu, and for good reason. Yuzu and Boyang are so pure that it's natural they gravitate towards each other. Yuzu knows limited Chinese, but he knows well the phrase to support Boyang (using Boyang's nickname). I still remember when Yuzu fixed Boyang's national flag for him before the photos at Worlds (if I remember correctly). So many saw that the flag was upside down (Boyang couldn't see it himself, but others could), and Yuzu was the only one who stopped to help Boyang fix it before the photos were taken, because it would've looked so bad for Boyang if the flag was upside down. Yuzu is not only the greatest skating legend, his character is also so good, and full of grace and integrity. Plushenko said in interviews that the most important aspect of Yuzu is that "he is a good guy" How nice that even Plushenko's son idolizes Yuzu. There's a very good reason why Yuzu is so loved by so many around the world. All the Yuzu-haters can diss him all they want, but they're not even worth a fingernail on Yuzu.

According to analysis done by others in the Olympics SP thread, Yuzu will end up on the podium only if miracles happen. He has to perform the most perfect Tenchi program and with perfect 4A, and everyone else has to mess up very badly enough to lose enough points for Yuzu to close the gap. He's in 8th after SP so not even in top 6, with a huge score gap. But I rather see him do the most perfect Tenchi + 4A regardless of podium finish or not. The perfect Tenchi + 4A will be the greatest skating in history, something beyond medals or scores...

Denis was really special. I still feel very upset to think how far too soon he was taken away from the world. So much Goddamn injustice in this world...

To be honest, I felt the same too. My whole family knows how much I love Yuzu. I was working whole day and when I came back, my dad told me Nathan was in the lead by a mile and he didn't see any sign of my favorite skater Yuzu in the top 6 My dad doesn't even follow skating. He only kept an eye out cuz I kept talking about Yuzu and 4A and Olys for the past 2 weeks. I was SO VERY UPSET when I heard the news. I couldn't believe it. I went online and watched right away. It was beautiful skating, even with the popped Salchow. I wanted to cry at the injustice and unfairness of it all. But Yuzu's skated really beautifully today, so I have all the more love for him and his amazing calmness in the post interview. But then I came to find solace from my fellow Fanyus here...

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I hope your beloved sibling is now in a better place, and I'm sure he/she knows how much you love him/her. Yes I agree that the Universe should treat Yuzu better. Everything he has ever achieved, he has fought for with tooth and nail. He deserves better, and it makes me lose faith in the world to see how unfairly he is treated. This is why I stopped watching FS, because it was making me very upset everytime. I actually just watch Yuzu's performance and everything else, but try not to look at the scores, because I feel so upset at the injustice of it all. Please let Yuzu land the perfect 4A! He has earned it and he deserves better!

So good to see the greats supporting their fellow greats! Can we have a prayer circle for Yuzu? He has prepared and worked so hard for so long, just for the pure love of skating and challenging the limits of human ability. That alone is worth more than any medal. I don't care how Yuzu places, podium or not. The fact that he is still here, at his 3rd Olympics, in the middle of the greatest global pandemic, and giving hope to all of us out there who love him, for that alone I will love him forever. HE DESERVES THE PERFECT 4A! Please Gods let him have it! He has earned it many times over, and what better time and place to do it than at his 3rd Olympics! Come ON!!!
