Thought it might be. I found a physiotherapy site that had detailed recovery times for this sort of injury and his 10 days off the foot + crutches + all these weeks seemed to indicate it was more severe. I hope he takes it easy and waits until he's 100% to avoid re-injury. Why he's even considering coming back before then is beyond me.

I feel like he'll WD, too. Seems they're sending a lot of people out on TV and in the media to tell him it's okay not to compete or to tell us not to worry if he doesn't.

It's the exact same Kyodo News article that appeared in the Japan Times so it seems we still only have one source reporting a knee injury. I hope we can get clarification soon. The doom and gloom of Gallagher's article has spooked me.
