Ive only watched 2 episodes of YOI but yuri does remind me of yuzu so I understand why people come to yuzu thru that anime haha.

I really wonder what yuzu thinks of it but im guessin hes not into BL lol.

Anyway i think its nice to grow the fandom so im welcome to YOI fans joinin the yuzu fandom lol. They r aware of yuzuru right?

I won't welcome anyone who think they know better bc of an anime and have the nerve to insult real figure skating fans who know what real figure skating is  :noshake:

    Anyway  :t1233:

I'm rooting for Boyang to take Gold. It may take an act of God because of his lower BV vis-a-vis Nathan and lower PCS vis-a-vis Shoma but I like him the best out of the three.

Anyway, is there anybody else besides the so-called sQuad + vincent in contention? ): They're all pretty unbalanced, I would like to see a more well-rounded world champ.

Yes, Boyang and Kolyada on the podium. If Nathan lands there, the US folks are going to be super arrogant again :disappointed: If they make Shoma win, oh well, what  a meal for the Yuzuru haters and other weird people.....

Anyway, it's going to be a  sad competition

“Yuzuru Hanyu is an amazing skater and all but honestly, he is SO overrated and all of his costumes lowkey look the same.."

    :smiley-laughing021::smiley-laughing021::smiley-laughing021:

okay but in all seriousness, the "overrated" part I can sort of see where they are coming from. Yuzu's fandom proportional to every other figure skaters is just ridiculously huge and there are many other amazing skaters who don't get nearly enough recognition unfortunately.

But the costumes thing had me  esp given they used a Chopin picture and just.... LOL

What can you expect from an Yuri on Ice fan :animated-smileys-hands-fingers-01:

Yess, the younger skaters need to step up. Japan has been relying on Yuzu for around 7 years now. And in the last 6 years of his participation at WC, he only missed the podium once and he literally skated with flu. He never bombed his performance to the point he doomed his team, even when he’s severely injured. So, really the younger generation needs to learn from him and comes out

Let's see how Uno is going to manage the pressure. This time, he can't hide behind Yuzuru, the expectations are on him now and he has to do a lot of work to secure 3 spots for next year. It's not the same as at nationals, where there is nobody who can challenge him when Yuzuru is not there

Demand skyrockets for sweets, masks and sports goods popularized by Japan’s Olympic athletes

A flu mask also attracted attention after it was worn by figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu, who won gold in the men’s singles event at the Pyeongchang Olympics.

    ...

The 2018 version of the mask starts from ¥21,600. Although the product is unusually expensive for a flu mask, 2,000 people are currently on a waiting list to buy it. The company is unable to keep up with the pace of orders, even though workers are giving up their holidays to produce more masks.

Guys, forgive me if I bring a negative mood but I'm so uncomfortable so I want to confess. This is the first time I understand how jealousness is scary this much. I grow up by been teaching about an acceptance for what we have and what we don't have and also how to turn jealousness into power to improve ourself. I'm so upset for what happen in twitter lately. I don't know how those people have been teach about envious. But spreading lie is big No. It's ok to have jealousness but manage it  by this way is NOT OKAY. Especially to someone like Yuzu. I don't know why they think he will use a very painful memory to promote himself. I don't know why they don't understand how hard for him at that time to keep fighting for his dream.

Maybe, I'm just a colleage student who never feel the REAL world. I'm so sorry to Yuzu. He deserve better than this.....

Social media is always like that. There you can see the true face of humans

Uh?! Why I cannot understand this kind of things...? :2: Maybe I can comprehend (but not justify :3:) this attitude from the fans of Dai because of their "history", but also Mao's fans now? It's a pity for a country with many big talents to appear so divided and fighting for their recognition. To give this award to Yuzu doesn't mean that the contribution of Dai and Mao to the development and the popularization of FS in Japan is lesser; on the contrary... I thought that people would be happy also because is a sign of recognition for FS in the country more in general.

    Ever heard of envy? :baby-4:

But seriously, what can they do? They can't take anything away from him and they only put their own faves into bad light. Yuzuru is just too powerful :joy:

From 45 minute mark theres a Zagitova documentary and she said she starves dinner every night and just drinks tea to maintain her weight. Apparently she can only eat fruit at night and have one meal a day: breakfast.

Im shocked cuz yuzu said he can eat anything he wnts.

So it's true, Eteri is starving the girls.

I just watched Alena Kostornaia again, and when i look at her face [Admin: Don't speculate about skaters' health or weight, please!]. She has that same face as Yulia  at Rostelecom 2016
