  1. While the russian girls seems to be the strongest technically, they don't have long careers. It's different with the japanese i think we will see them compete for a long time. I hope Wakaba, Mai and Marin will grow into real competitors (and that the judges will stop ignoring them :smiley-angry031:). Can't wait for the new season

And the bronze medalists were older than the gold and silver medalists. And the difference in age between the gold and silver medalists was 3 years (not taking months into account)....

    :acceptable:

Well I have one on Tuesday too. The irony of the situation though. I am wasting my time reading things about someone who is an epitome of dedication and hard work. God knows when I will start inculcating the values I like others for having. I wish I could have at least 1% of dedication Hanyu Yuzuru has for figure skating.

Same.  Watching someone being successful doesn't make us successful too  :banginghead:

Just realized that both in the Men's singles and Women's singles the winning order was the same

    Third to last = gold
    Second to last = bronze
    Last = silver

    (is it too soon?)

And in both the gold and silver medalists were from the same country

I think it's interesting that it's usually the free skates that people remember and determine who they think the rightful winner is like here or pairs (didn't pay attention to dance), but (though Nathan won the FS) Yuzu made such a big impression both days that even with mistakes in FS his win is undisputed (unless you're an uber of someone else). Hurrah.

Looking at the long programs, he was the most clean of them all  Shoma fell on his first jump, Javier popped and his jumps in general looked weird (but nobody cares about the bronze medalists anyway, they just look at who was first and second), Boyang fell too. Chen was too far away that people would look on YouTube for his performance

Yeah, audience was totally on Med's side. Reminds me a bit of Nice 2012, with subdued ovation for the winner. At lesst Alina doesn't have to be regretful for her performance.

Yuzu wanted to prove himself after Sochi - maybe Alina will want to as well?

It's going to be hard. She is going to grow, she is going to have new programs and it will take time to skate them "clean" (we saw it with the SP this season) and other young russian girls are waiting for their turn. Let's see if she is going to worlds and what happens there

I feel bad for both of them. Have you heard the public? They waited for Med's win... no one chered for the champion . NO one congratulated her. Eteri chose calmed Evgenia instead. Judges ,what are you doing!?!

And Alina was like "alone" in that room, looking at her doll with no real joy, in her own little world, like a child that  was trying to ignore some fights of the parents or something

I believe he will do SkC and NHK! He has unfinished business there! If he choses to do GPS this season !

And he is going to win both, and then he is going to win nationals and 4CC :darklordyuzu:

Well, he can channel his inner Noriaki Kasai

You've just ruined my fantasy scenario :tumblr_inline_ncmif7esGm1rpglid::tumblr_inline_mn41rkfu9v1qz4rgp:

Well, I think Boyang has good chances, he's 4th... (if they invite Nathan over him I won't forgive them:animated-smileys-angry-033:)

What matters the most... just don't give me jumps, give me fluff, Yuzuru!

Just wanted to say, i love your signature....  :goe:

  11. I think he knows his body and mental state and how to handle all this pretty good now, and  his performance and gold medal at olympics could give him enough confidence to win another WC, not this year but sometime in the next two seasons. Maybe he is like a wine, the older the better and he can show that he still can do it better than all the young "quad kings" :drink2:
