The Disney store in the UK sometimes offers a limited selection of items available in Japanese stores.

 

We can let people know on Twitter and other social media platforms where the products could be announced that fans around the world are very interested in buying Winnie the Pooh and Yuzu products. 

 

In practical terms, the Winnie the Pooh copyright licensing system is coming to an end and, now that any manufacturer can produce the Winnie the Pooh character, all those who currently hold licenses to produce Winnie the Pooh merchandise will seek to increase their sales.

As we Yuzu fans know, anything associated with Yuzu sells out almost instantly. Perhaps that's why the collaboration with Yuzu will launch at the end of the year, in the fall, allowing Disney toy suppliers to build up a large stock of merchandise to meet the guaranteed demand. 

 

 

Effectively@Perelandra I've seen quite a few fake Winnie the Pooh items without the DISNEY label, and of course we fans know that Yuzu and Winnie are inseparable     : here's DISNEY France with EVERYTHING about Winnie the Pooh, and there's even "Disney Store Japan"  https://www.disneystore.fr/disney/movies/winnie-the-pooh-and-friends  , I hope   for merchandise outside of Japan.....

Sharing this cute anecdote.

 

During a Shibuya live broadcast on Aug 1st to celebrate the release of Final Fantasy XIV on Nintendo Switch 2, lead item designer Yosuke Hayashi mentioned that, during the planning stages of one of the boss characters, Dancing Green, they had also considered giving it ice attributes inspired by figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu. But they changed it in consideration of the combat design, so the final version became Dancing Green with a Toad's soul that gives him frog-like traits & abilities, while his fighting style is built around dance and performance. By the way, he also wears bunny ears. 

 

Apparently its backstory (see below) feels a bit similar to Yuzu, so perhaps that was one of the reasons the team had originally considered using Yuzu as a concept. Regardless, I think Yuzu must be thrilled if he hears this since he's a FF fanboy.
