    In the interests of science it would also be important to conduct tests to check whether people's sense of smell was at optimal functioning - in order to to verify whether indeed Yuzu smells of chocolate and citrus, as reported by flower children at CoR.     @ZuCritter @Pammi Seeing Yuzu outside of Japan indicates another huge step, with regards to Yuzu's concerns about his health and appropriate COVID precautions for someone with asthma and a disease known to impact respiratory health long term, especially someone who relies on peak physical fitness for their life and livelihood. Yuzu clearly travelled a great deal during his competitive career. Yuzu turning professional and being unable to leave Japan because of COVID travel restrictions and fans being unable to attend Prologue for the same reasons was something that pretty much the entire international fan base felt very melancholy about. Japan opened up and international fans were able to attend Gift, Notte Stellata and SOI. The ticket lottery is still prohibitive though. Clearly nothing can ever be certain, but many international fans must all be thinking along similar lines, just from twt posts. Could there be the tiniest glimmer of potential that Yuzu might consider performing somewhere outside of Japan and then comes the faint flicker of hope that there might be the smallest possibility to buy a ticket. Hope nourishes our spirits and makes us all feel that today is a very good day

    The sand base helps to dissipate some of the forces when landing, whereas the concrete transmits the impact forces back to the skeleton. There was an accompanying series of pictures of floor layers and what happens when skater lands a jump, with the article. There was a post which contained a time lapse video of the rink building process - waterproof lining, special surface, pipes snaking back and forth, more layers of materials - top layer will sometimes have the logo e.g Olympic rings. Then water being poured in, freezing 4 millimetres at a time until desired thickness reached - few centimetres. It was interesting. ? Might be on youtube ?

    Yes, this is the reason TCC rink is constructed in such a way. There was a post years ago demonstrating the shock reduction when landing a jump on the sand underlay compared with landing on a rink with the standard concrete foundation. Interestingly the rink builders posted about how rinks are created for shows and the pipes containing the salt water, which can be cooled to below zero degrees centigrade in order to freeze the plain water are laid onto a special base, on top of the floor. This surface looks like it would also absorb some impact other wise there would be a risk of the pipes being damaged.

    Yes please to a tour show sorry, I'm watching Race Across the World this series is set in Canada Yuzu would give the best reason to visit am amazing country
