100 times yes! I'd happily contact Sendai ice rink but I think it should be from someone who speaks at least a bit of Japanese.
-
If i could double like this, I would!
-
I agree with all the satellites who believe moving forward with the letter to ISU would be best, even though i don't have any expertise to bring either.
-
A big hug to all of you at PH and to you Yuzuru, if you're reading. ๐ We're not going anywhere.
-
I look forward to the full transcripts, (at the moment I am unable to watch too many articles/videos so relying on you all and very grateful), including the bit where he said fanyus shouldn't feel sad or something... I'm happy to comply with Yuzuru's advice ๐ And I wish him the best of luck and happiness in what is just the next Yuzuru stage - no doubt in my mind it will be as phenomenal and breathtaking as everything he has given us so far โค

Mary_kyo is right. The sadness I briefly felt reading the R news is infinitely smaller than seeing him cry, facing the wall during the last Olympics. Because that was an absolute heartbreaker.
-
"I don't feel sad at all" and all the smiles I can see (even though i haven't watched everything yet) soothes me and makes me feel happy for him.
-
Same - I only got to see him from Beijing... makes the retirement harder for sure!
-
I've been away from the forum for a couple of weeks due to a traumatic time which has certainly made me put things into perspective a lot more. 2 weeks ago I would have been devastated by the retirement news. While I'm sad and very surprised to read the news today (did he enjoy FaOI so much he realised he can just retire and enjoy ice shows for the rest of this life without having to put up with the ISU crap and the competition madness?) I'm also very pleased because the very little I've seen from the interview is that he's "not sad at all" and it's all that matters. Yuzuru has done great things and wil continue to do great things no matter the platform. Thank you very much Yuzu for everything you've done and will continue to do, we love you very much.

A bit late as it's been a crazy week (I even missed the pooh rain ๐ญ) but I feel deeply sorry for this horrific murder that Japan has just witnessed. My thoughts are with the Japanese people at this difficult and shocking time ๐ค

I'm so sorry if it's been said elsewhere but when are we going to know which GP event Yuzu is assigned to? And is it wise to even wait for his confirmation to buy tickets to a specific event? Apologies, haven't been to a GP event for almost 15 years, I'm a bit out of it.

Oh wow... was too busy at work today, finally logging in to read the news!! I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that, but I feel a weird mixture of huge love/pride/awe and also dread - dread at the way he may be treated again and the possibility that I might relive some of the worst Beijing moments that destroyed me. But at the same time, having only been a die hard Fanyu fan since literally 1h before the Olympics FS, I still look forward to the pure adrenaline I will feel prior to each event. I remember feeling that for Yu-Na, staying up all night, jumping/gasping/crying sometimes all simultaneously. There's nothing quite like it, I both hate and love it, the way it can make me feel. Kind of drunk and in love and witnessing something historical every time. What's certain though, is that Yuzury Hanyu is not done showing the world his phenomenal talent and his hunger for a sport that he owes absolutely nothing to but who owes him everything.

In that context - almost smug ๐๐ (and it's the right attitude)
-
*busy writing a letter to Yuzu to formally invite him to London*
-
If you ever take Yuzu to a tour of England I'm joining ๐
-
Thanks Yuzuru for the past amazing weeks, you didn't disappoint you beautiful angel โคโค๐๐ Also, these abs are putting me to shame.
-
Very sorry to read that chrace, I am sending plenty of positive thoughts your way and much love Fanyu to Fanyu ๐๐
-
That made me tear up.
-
Makes complete sense to me, I'm in the same boat!
-
I completely agree... !!
-
I love his new costumes. Then again I'm very biased, I honestly think he could pull off wearing a cleverly fashioned bin bag. Thanks everyone for sharing all the news and beautiful pics ๐
-
I would hate to show off but I have to share my joy, I've just received my gifts from the giveaway that was organised recently, and I'm OVER THE MOON! Thank you so much Planet Hanyu mods, it is very much appreciated
-
Yet another thing I love about Yuzuru - his hugs always look so wholehearted and genuine in every pic.
-
Haha I see what you mean now, although I find it mostly endearing! But I see, he's much more laid back and goofy than competition Yuzu. Yes I only realised now. In my (poor) defense I've been super busy and then was on holiday this week which hasn't helped. I thought maybe people were just quietly enjoying the show ๐

Did I only just realise there's separate threads for FaOI? Yes.
