I plead totally guilty for being one of the new fanyus who's probably overthinking things 🤡 ! In a way it was a bad timing to join the club just recently as Yuzuru had a rough time last week, so it got really intense really quickly and I went straight from "oh damn he IS the best" to "crap, he is so sad" in a matter of hours. I don't know if I'm being very clear

Apologies if there's one already and I missed it, but wouldn't it be cool to have a thread about examples of motivation/inspiration Yuzu brought us? In the past few days for example, witnessing his strength and tenacity made me push myself to go for a run, or to eat better, and I'm sure I'm not the only one here?

You're right. After all we did all say we are happy whatever he does so long as he is happy. If he is slowly prepping for retirement AND he is satisfied with the idea we should be happy too

I suppose since - as far as we know - he isn't sure what the future holds he wants to do a nice exhibition gala "just in case". He doesn't know what he's going to do next, or how long it will take for his ankle to fully heal, and maybe he just wants to make sure if it ends up being his last "competitive" gala he wants to end it nicely. Wishful thinking..!

Yes I'm probably reading too much into it, he's just having fun and keeping yhe gala programme a secret I hope! Watching the sessions is so much fun, even though it hurts to think he's still hurting.

He's practiced *loads* of programs today. Now I'm paranoid it's his grand finale/goodbye or something 😅😫 EDIT: he also said his ankle is still "not good" but he's enjoying himself.

He's at practice again today, smiling. The gift that keeps giving 😍

Yuzuru was at practice today, skating to a medley. PHEW

Yeah I agree, don't think he knows either. Damn that video makes me sad. Obviously we do want him to land 4A but it's only because of what it means to him, not because this is a requirement for us to respect & love even more...

I - obviously - don't know Yuzuru enough to figure out if it's a positive thing if he decides to stop chasing the 4A.I just can't tell at this early stage if he's still got a wish to land it "perfectly" or if he's genuinely content with what he's achieved (which he should obviously be) and I mean it was a breathtaking achievement in itself to almost land it cleanly at the Olympics, especially with a badly sprained ankle. I don't know if I'm making any sense. Basically I just want him to be fully HAPPY with himself if possible at all, whatever it entails for him, while obviously not torturing his body. I wish he could feel for even a second the almost overwhelming mixture of love, pride, affection and concern we have for him.

Great, now trying not to cry at the idea of a cameraman crying watching Yuzuru. All is well & fine in my head!

If Yuzu decides to leave it at that, I kind of - selfishly - hope no one else attempts it. It's Yuzu's.

I only saw 2 photos of his practice amd he seemed focused (= not smiling) and now I'm going to be paranoid everytime he doesn't smile! I guess I got too complacent with all the smiles we got yesterday 🤣 Someome please come knock me on the head!

Just read Yuzu was at practice again today landing jumps. I guess the ankle got 3-4 days of rest instead of 10 then! Aaaargh. Yuzu please look after yourself! We will love seeing you at the exhibition even if you skate around in circles for 5 minutes.😍 But I guess he knows his body best!
