I have never thought that somebody would write an article to boast of their ignorance. Imagine people writing this type of articles saying that "I am not a football fan and I can't name a famous footballer so they can't be famous", or "I only know Justin Bieber and not Mozart so Mozart is surely of zero importance"... Anyway, they have edited the article so they should have received the fans' messages and realized their stupidity.

It is really ironic that some people blame Yuzu for being too popular and he has too many crazy fans ruining the sport, while on the other hand, some people say that he is a nobody and no one knows him.

Through the guessing the gala game, I suddenly think that Yuzu's best programs are like the best classical music pieces, which are played and replayed for so many times but people are still attracted to them.

Though I am sad that he lost as he is too tired, I am grateful that he seems healthy. Compared to the trauma I had last year in Rostelecom (I didn't discover Yuzu early enough to go through NHK 2017), this is OK. He will come back stronger after enough rest. Regardless of placement or scores, it is a huge pleasure to see him still skating. I just booked 4cc ticket a few minutes ago but I have not even applied for annual leave/booked plane ticket/reserved hotel yet.

I have to admit that I now search other skaters' Wiki page more than Yuzu's because I already remember almost evey details of his competitive results but keep forgetting other skaters' competitive highlights

Video of Pooh rain in Torino has gone viral that it is reported by some media in my city (Hong Kong). One of my colleague, who has zero interest in skating but knows I am a Yuzu fan, came to me and showed me the Pooh rain video, and asked if I have watched it. I said that I watched it live (on my phone) . And I explained that it was his birthday so the rain was extra heavy. He then lamented that how come he has never received a teddy bear and told me his birthday is in May.

It is a nice article, though they miss out little Romeo's Bronze medal when they count his Worlds medals Scores aside, GPF Origin with 5 clean quads (not counting the triple flip in the combo), beautiful lutz and loop while still staying healthy is a big step forward from SCI Origin. It is why (I think) Yuzu's percentage went up from 30% to 50%. To me personally as a fan, he has achieved enough titles and world record scores for me to be zen about his future competitive results. Of course I will be thrilled if he wins (especially 4CC lol) and if he is satisfied with his results, but I am happy by just witnessing how he is still getting better and better (and being healthy!). What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. This competition will only make Yuzu stronger.

To lighten up our mood, I went to my local rink today. There were 2 little girls trying hydroblade and Origin opening choreography. It was so cute.

From crawling behind Shoma in Pyeongchang, to directing the cheers to Nathen in GPF 2019, everytime when Yuzu tries to step back from the spotlight to let others shine, he fails, and ends up getting even more love and attention.

Maybe I have a thing for Kimono and traditional Japanese clothes, Evegenia's free skate costume is my favorite this season (even though I love both Yuzu's costumes) and Seimei II costume will always be my favorite costume in figure skating history. I hesitated for a few seconds whether I should vote for Evegenia for the best costume, but as a biased fanyu, I still voted for Yuzu. If the award was for the designer, I could have voted instantly for Satomi

Sorry that I didn't make myself clear that I was referring to 2019 ACI. Yuzu obviously wasn't happy about it in 2019. It may be because of the rule changing each year that causes confusion.

I would love to see the reaction of the skating world if Yuzu is nominated as a newcomer due to huge amount of fanyu votes. I mean, he is kind of new in the world of figure skating legends such as Dick Button. Just kidding

I am not supporting her comment and I think it may hurt Yuzu. I just think that it is inevitable that we are subjected to double standard.

There are inappropriate behaviours in all fan groups. Yuzu fans are singled out because there are too many of us. Every tiny bit of misbehaviour are magnified. Take ACI gift throwing as an example. Throwing gifts were not allowed but there were fans throwing a few gifts to other skaters as well as Yuzu. Yet, I hardly see other people blaming the fans of those skaters but they only blame Yuzu's fans from ACI. This may be because there are so few gifts for those skaters that the skaters could easily pick the gifts up themselves but it is not the case for Yuzu. 1% of crazy fans already means a lot of people so we are subjected to double standard.

It has been an interesting discussion on cultural differences. I am not Japanese myself but I travel there often. It seems to me that Japanese would try their best to not bother/cause any discomfort to other people. Yuzu appears to conform to this based on how he have been acting in press conferences and competitions for all these years. Therefore I hope the birthday celebration could be considerate to other skaters. Of course I am not Japanese and please correct me if I am wrong

Yuzu may care and may not want to distract his competitors even a tiny bit. He may also not be in the mood to celebrate his birthday right after his skate. I think it is safer to do it in the victory ceremony or after practice.

As a fan who was there and sighed when the lower than expected score came out, I am so angry that our intention is twisted by the media that way. There is no way that we would ever be disappointed in him. We were totally enchanted by his performance and thought the judges would reward him accordingly. I hope and think Yuzu would understand that our most important wish is his health. That is why the we all applause so loudly when Shizuka said it for us.

I have just arrived in Japan today for NHK Trophy and decided to go to Nishikawa store nearby to see Yuzu poster. I just wanted to see the poster and didn't plan to buy anything. However, when a cute Yuzu is looking at you it is so hard to leave without buying something, so I bought something cheap at the end. Hanyuconomy

Agree. I was disappointed in them and they make TSL a bigger Yuzu fan this time.
