Probably problem is just the cannot keep a proper ice thickness due to the hot weather. I live in Madrid and the ice rink located close to my house it is closed every year starting June, the 15th until September, the 15th.... What it is a pain in the neck for the club skaters and for people like me. Being there a day like today (we will reach 41ºC and it was already 33ºC at 10:33 am) would be like being in paradise!

I do still think that if he is allowed to go Yuzu will be there, but it is just my personal opinion.

I do think he will take part today... OG games/spirit means a lot to Yuzu. What I cannot guess is in which way, if being in charge of a torch relay, or if inside the OG venue... or in any other way I cannot think of.

I do also want to try to attend OG. Does anybody know if you can apply as a group to get tickets? Or is it a lottery like in Japan competitions?

First possible problem is, in my opinion, that it is quite quite possible, maybe even muri, that Japan won't open the borders for tourist this year... I had in mind to do a home-stay there to try to improve my Japanese next November-December... and though I haven't done a deep reserach yet, some places (Japanese schools) are offering this kind of stays starting March´22. On the contrary, some Spanish travel agencies are offering trips to Japan starting October´21, but I don't trust them.

Until 1 hour ago I had the hope to see Yuzu skating live again.... Now my hopes have vanished . Anyhow, I wish him all the best. And according to these assigments I think that if he goes back to Canada it will be only from August until the Rostelecom and back to training in Japan until OG.

World is really becoming crazier and crazier, if that is possible. Sometimes I become really negative and start thinking all this vaccine "war" is going to end up really bad. I hope I'm wrong but...
