  1. I guess all the satellites crashed onto the planet today. And burned to ashes because the planet was too hot.
  2. I swear Yuzu fans have the best eyesight ever. Well trained in "How to spot a ninja in action".
  3. I see... now that makes a lot more sense. /sigh @ living in Asia = nearest venue = Japan or China = both of which are highly contested places = give up and watch at home.
  4. I remember Oda said before that Yuzu has so much gifts (in NHK Trophy) that the organising committee provides him a special room to store them after they have been collected from the ice. How will a large gift box be enough?
  5. Recently, I saw a clip of Yuzu practicing Ina Bauer... and R+J2.0 music (specifically the part for the Ina Bauer) played in my head. And I don't even watch R+J that much. I think all fanyus can hum the music according the Ina Bauer hehehe~
  6. It's USFS wanting that sweet piece of yuzu flavoured $$$ pie - and barring stealing Yuzu from Japan, they have to make their own. I'm sure Nathan is a nice enough person, but he's missing all that magic that makes Yuzu special (that duality!! the sensitivity to music). They still want to shove it down their countrymen's throat, and their media has always been quite successful in keeping their general public blissfully ignorant. Doesn't matter to those we aren't ignorant - we know the truth. I think they might have a better chance to make a US FS star if they sent the whole batch of US figure skaters to Korea for boyband camp to learn some star quality. Edit: I'm also getting really sick of tired of dumb comments about how Nathan is balletic or whatever, and all I see are flailing arms and a dude that's about to topple on the ice. Or talking about how Yuzu is past his prime and he should retire since he's got injuries whereas Nathan will reign forever yadayada... I'm half way into warning them that everyone gets injured eventually. Or how Nathan is so much more consistent than Yuzu - seriously f---- off.
  7. And he always looks like he's having a great time hanging out with fellow skaters, being an annoying brat during practices and just generally be -extra- in all of his movements... Well as long as he isn't pushing himself too hard.
  8. IT HAS LANDED IN SINGAPORE! CHANGI! AIRPORT! Sorry the Singaporean in me just went @#%#$^%#^$&%$%$
  9. I suck at Japanese but Chinese is perfectly fine with me... so I'm translating from a Chinese Tweet: Sakada Yuuki is from the same school year as Yuzu. He has autism. Whenever Yuzu has free time, he would gather his school mates to play with Yuuki. Whenever they have skating classes, he would also teach him how to skate. They would also go on school outings/hikings together. Both of them will call each other Yuzuru and Yuuki-kun. Sakada family sent the message to [Yuzu NEWS] and Yuzu himself said "This always makes me very happy!" Pic 1> News article of Japanese for Ants Pic 2> Yuzu and Sakada Pic 3> Yuzu's signature to Sakada-san. Pic 4> From Weibo - Due to the earthquake, the Sakada family moved to Kanazawa, and they lost contact after middle school. In 2013 March, Sakada's younger brother went to an ice show and asked Yuzu if he remembers Yuuki. Yuzu replies that he will not forget in this lifetime! Sakada's younger brother then gave Yuzu Sakada's message, which wrote that he gained much courage from Yuzu's actions. He is seriously one of the most empathic person I've ever seen.
  10. H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y P L A N E T Thank you for bringing all the satellites together to revolve around the cutest planet in the universe! Satellites Group Hug
  11. This is why they are milking Yuzu for all the remaining seasons... not many more chances for a sellout FS competition.
  12. https://twitter.com/Platon427/status/1121399932034772 A 14 year old Yuzu! Why is his photo the goofiest of them all??
  13. From what I've read, Yuzu took the standard entrance exams to enter Waseda University. There were clips of him studying in Narita airport when he had to travel for competitions, and when asked, he said that he's a university candidate.
  14. Time to interject the conversation with a cute Yuzu and add no value whatsoever to the conversation but Yuzu gifs are valuable no?
  15. Hanyueconomy! At this point now it’s just posting random stuff until he reappears yeah?
  16. Haha, some fans pointed out all the excess fabric on his pants for his picture in the Sendai booklet. The WaistTM!
  17. Listen with sound on... it's quite hilarious!
  18. How about a marketplace of sorts? There are some ridiculously good artists/creators that could showcase their Etsy store or something
  19. I came across this article... this might shed some light I guess: https://soranews24.com/2016/03/31/five-weird-and-bewildering-ways-beauty-is-measured-in-japan/ Yuzu he qualifies for: 1. Small face/Kogao ✔ 2. The 1:8 head/body ratio/Hattoshin ✔ 3. Soy Face/Sauce Face/Shoyu Gao/Soosu Gao - Soy Face is used to describe a man with soft, delicate features and Sauce Face describes a man whose features are more “koi” or “strong”, for example a man with a prominent brow ridge and nose, thick eyebrows and a strong jawline. In the article, it is said that a "Soy Face" is more popular with majority of Japanese ladies. ✔ 4. Three Sizes/Surii Saizu ✔ coughcoughcough 5. “Tall” Nose/Hana ga Takai ✔
  20. Also, the duality of his personality is also something that is very interesting - absolute champion/slayer on ice, absolute kitty cat off ice. A seriously working person is always very attractive, and then when he turns it off, he becomes... cute. The kind of cute that makes me want to "grandma" him - add food to his plate, pat him on his head, etc. He remains innocent (not ignorant), feels very deeply about his surroundings, lives with empathy - it's a pure soul that must be protected at all costs! Like, I'm pretty sure he -KNOWS- about the shitscoring of IJS and the reality of competing as one of those not from the politicking countries, but he sticks to his morals, fights the system his own way, and refuse to participate of any of that bullshit. "If I do it so well, you can't do anything but throw the scores at me" - see WC 2017. Underscored as fuck, still a WR. That is probably the Yuzu he wants to go back to being. The Yuzu we saw in 2010 wants the same things as the Yuzu we know in 2019. He always stayed faithful and truthful to himself. There is this Chinese saying, 相由心生,心慈则貌美 - which means that your looks follows your heart, and if you're kind hearted, you will end up looking good. It's not a literal thing, but if you're always having kind thoughts, your expression will soften and reveal the emotions naturally. I believe that is the case for him - he's not KimuTaku level kind of good looking, on the streets you may write him off as a thin dude that looks pleasing. But let's face it, how many of us have melted under that kind smile of his?
  21. Oh what I intend to do is to build a wordpress page with a timeline theme and go chronologically from 1994... it should have events, links to interviews/shows/competitions, some videos/images I would host myself, some not (if the fan sub does not want re-posting), with links to credits... hopefully, I can also link up which event comes from which interview/book, etc. This can be continuously updated as and when more information comes in, so it will be a dynamic timeline. The idea is to list everything, such as first 3A, coach changes. As of now it's on my private webserver and an excel sheet as I'm combing through stuff to sort through the massive information available.
  22. So, I going about trying to make my Yuzu timeline project (something for me to do during off season) so I'm watching a crazy amount of Yuzu interviews/shows/features... and suddenly two moments that made my heart skip a beat. 1) CwW - R+J 1.0, when he opened the door and looked up at Juliet - and that expression of falling in love at first sight. 2) WTT Phantom, when he said goodbye to Christine (and the program), with the expression of pain and longing, before putting back on his mask. Did anyone else have the same kind of experience?
  23. Good thing it was SEIMEI and not LGC, otherwise we'd all be distracted during the slowmos. Is it wrong that I'm liking LGC more and more as I watch it?
  24. Why... omg... my eyes!!! Sometimes I almost regret coming to the PH
  25. Oh we appreciate that... every single day... every single performance... On a separate note, I'm thinking of embarking on a project to chronologically date every single performance/interview/tv appearance of his on a timeline (and also put points on the timeline of events that happened but he only told us like years later) and into a google drive, then start slowly painstakingly translate those that are not translated... for science.
