May it be so! Imagine the fun of watching that.

For once they're doing something useful.
-
Nope, it's geoblocked for me.
-
I thought they were just being lazy and reposting USFS stuff.

Don't give the Chaos Lord those Ideas.

How fit would Yuzu have to be, to do the 4A at the end of his free skate? I mean, think about how fit he is already...where on earth could he possibly improve to get the extra stamina needed to hit a quad axel at that point of exhaustion? Although if he did do it, no one would ever, ever, ever be able argue against his G.O.A.T. status ever again.

Wouldn't 'one official' mean a judge or technical officer or something like that? Or a chef de mission for the whole team? not a coach. Also, I really, really REALLY can't see Mishin doing that.

Team Tutberidze already blatantly bragging about how they get to circumvent even the loosey-goosey COVID protocols the ISU has limply extended for Worlds: original article https://www.sport-express.ru/figure-skating/chempionat-mira/news/trenerskiy-shtab-tutberidze-poedet-na-chempionat-mira-v-polnom-sostave-1768493/ translation: What a circus.

For the sake of his wife and child, I ardently hope that Keegan gets through Worlds safely. The more I read, the less I like what's happening.
-
Indeed it shall, I will it to be so.
-
I hope someone is. Brian is going to have at least 3 skaters at Worlds, so my guess is that he would go.

From the one study I saw, statistically speaking, the Aussies are in fact the only perfectly neutral, unbiased judges. Should be getting them to judge everything.

or will suddenly rediscover that they have a conscience and should do the right thing. Stranger things have happened

But when the time comes to go back to TCC, will she go? I'd assume Shingo wants to get back there.

a fact being proven in spades with the current situation regarding holding Worlds in the teeth of a pandemic without adequate precautionary measures in place. Fixed it for you. Russian coaches seem to have some kind of pull but the rest are mostly pawns of their federations. They may hold power within the confines of their own rinks but that's it. Judges and marketers can affect some outcomes but ultimately it's the federations that call all the shots. I think most athletes would rather compete under fair conditions, and they are risking A LOT when they speak out. However, if an athlete is fully aware that things will always go in their favor because of who they're coached by or what flag is on their passport, and they don't at least acknowledge this to be the case, then they're complicit in the game. And that makes them, well, hmm, less than honest competitors, IMO. Skating, like all sports, does have its share of those. I don't want any skaters to do poorly. I just want Yuzu to do the best, in an emphatic way, so that none can argue with his supremacy. @Lily* Good point. Moving on to other things: This competition is going to be so different from every other one in terms of energy in the arena (no cheering crowds, COVID hanging over everyone's heads, etc). It seems to me that the one who'll win this one, will be the one with the calmest mind. And that's Yuzu's forte for sure.

Ah, that's probably it. Man, all this is making the Quebec government look like heroes for their decision to cancel Worlds last year.
-
...it's like they're deliberately trying to create a situation that'll rattle and distract certain athletes. What the heck for, I wonder.

He's quoted Yowamushi Pedal before, and his exhibition program Wings of Words is based on Gundam SEED: Destiny, I believe.

Is there? Because according to something Roman Sadovsky said in his latest video, Canada is sending Keegan to Worlds but may send Roman to WTT, because Keegan will have to quarantine after Worlds. ...unless I misunderstood and they will still be sending Keegan as well. However, that's all contigent on Canada being invited to WTT
-
Surely Japan has enough depth in the singles disciplines that they could field an entirely different team for WTT than they did for Worlds. Only ice dance and pairs would have to do both competitions. At this point, knowing that the ISU has made loopholes in their Worlds COVID protocol to allow even symptomatic skaters in, I don't even care who wins. All I hope for is that no one gets sick AT ALL and that everyone comes home safely. And that whoever it is that came up with this idea that figure skaters are fine potential targets for a super spreader event may rot as quickly as possible because they clearly have no conscience whatsoever.
-
Agree, and since DMs are how the mods usually handle things, I'm surprised that didn't happen this time.
-
But I like the energy of his "Hobbies: None" ISU entry...it's mildly intimidating, as if Yuzu was saying "All I care about is skating, and not even the ISU is allowed to mess with that, so they better get out of my way. " which he would be very justified in that.

Is Han Yan actually going to Worlds? Not going to lie, I'm a bit excited for him. Ans as much as I love G&P, ice dance being what it is, I don't expect them to be any higher than third, because politics.
-
That's so perfect for Yuzu.

Yay! That's so exciting! Origin 2.0 is definitely an incredible work of art so I'm pleased it'll be immortalized at Mme. Tussaud's.
