  1. There's a profile photo on her twitter if you want to check if it was her. But photo can be quite different from real life appearance tho.
  2. I just landed on this thread, and suddenly I just feel so nervous with all this nessie talks. Gosh...I'm terrified yet so exited at the same time. It was apparent that Yuzu was nervous during ACI and the issues with stamina was pronounced. Hope he works on the stamina issue first though. But man...how I wish nessie would just come sooner!
  3. I actually have no problem with the different level of cheers that skaters get. I mean, I get it you might be specific in liking a certain skater. But like Yuzu, I find it rude that fans keep shouting Yuzu's name even when it's other skater's turn to take the ice. So glad when I saw Yuzu shushing them.
  4. Oh my God!!! I'm so sorry for you... Good thing that girl who sat next to you shouted in Chinese, otherwise I'd want someone to shout back to her to shut the hell up.
  5. Are they (the mob) Japanese? All the Japanese I encounter in my life were very polite and respectful. So I somehow find it peculiar if they are being rude like that.
  6. I belong to those fans who follow figure skating after I saw Yuzu winning Worlds last year. And it's true that we can't do anything about those fans who are only there for Yuzu for the gorgeous guy that he is. He's beautiful, there's no way people won't see it. I just hope those fans realize that Yuzuru would appreciate them if they respect him and the sport more.
  7. From what I've read on twitter it was fairly easy to know where the skaters are if you just wait. And since the venue was rather small it was even more easier. Oh, and they said Yuzu finally has a manager (she's the one driving his car).
  8. Wow, scary stalkers are scary. Did they think Yuzu was their fated one or something? lol Now I hope that JSF will provide bodyguards for Yuzu 24/7 in every competition he goes.
  9. My God!!\ All these TCC interactions are so precious!!! We need to wrap all the TCC papa bears and mama bear in cotton wools
  10. I think we better stop making any assumption of "if Boyang goes to TCC" or "if Boyang doesn't go to TCC" the last time we discuss it there are many differing opinions. I like Boyang, but like you, I was afraid that if he were to train with Yuzu, it won't benefit Yuzu. So let's just end this Boyang discussion and just wait and see.
  11. I understand where you come from. But in my opinion it's more like his fans were taking his words too far. Daisuke's mentality is the kind that tends to retreat when he's challenged, and him saying he felt threatened back then didn't mean that he actually hated Yuzu or anything. It's actually kind of the same with how Yuzu's fans reacted after Yuzu sort of "accused" Dennis Ten for hindering his practice session back then. Though I know that Dennis was at fault then, it was still not wise for Yuzu to say that in front of the media where anything he said could be blown out of proportion.
  12. Wait...what?? I mean...even if she doesn't like Yuzu, why would she literally announce it via social media?
  13. To place such a heavy burden on a mere teenager on his first Olympics, smh. I understand that during Sochi, Japan didn't achieve their targeted medal count, and Dai being injured while Mao also failed, it made sense that Yuzu was the only hope. But if she really did threaten Yuzu with such a cruel words....I don't even know what to say.
  14. I found this article of Yoshio Koda https://nippon-kichi.jp/article_list.do;jsessionid=6C9122451F4819C9712D6ACF94C85282?p=907&ml_lang=en Wow, to be honored as a living national treasure and being able to continue his craft up until now, truly inspiring!
  15. I guess he wants to have an ending in his own terms like what PChan did. Good for him.
  16. Tbh, I find it really hard to believe that people could stoop to that level. But I know that some extreme fans could be. Was this really true? As in, was it not just a rumor? I read a lot of Dai fans saying that Yuzu getting booed during Nats 2012 was just a rumor spouted by Hanyu-fans.
  17. Reading about these Dai crazed fans really got me scared. I found this https://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/butterfly91fish/21995637.html and I'm just appaled at how people can make such outrageous conclusion. Now, I'm sure that both Dai and Yuzu are not perfect humans. But as much as I like Daisuke, I'm not especially happy with his comeback.
  18. This is like a blatant rip off. If this is a junior competition then it's understandable. But if it's a senior one, I'd be embarrassed if I were to wear that thing.
  19. I'm late to this JOC party, but I'm so happy Yuzu got to meet my favorite badminton player Nozomi-chan!! JOC should hold a gathering of Winter and Summer Olympic athletes more often.
  20. Exactly right for your point in the first paragraph. I don't get people who don't recognize that Yuzu has been among the elites even before he moved to Brian. He's been dubbed 'the future' and even got bronze at Worlds. If it wasn't already elite, then I don't know what is. He might hadn't been always consistent, but he's there. As for Nanami-sensei, I think all of us have a huge respect to her. She has been with Yuzu ever since his early junior (or even novice?) days. She has helped instilled some valuable principles in Yuzu's mind (I remember Yuzu said Nanami-sensei advised him to 'always have a mindset of a beginner' or something, so he will not easily satisfied with his achievement).
  21. At this point I can only pray and hope that Yuzu's going to be healthy and happy whatever his training condition will be. If he's healthy, I'm almost certain that there is no limit to what he can do and achieve. I couldn't care less who Brian brings to TCC. In terms of maturity as a skater, I think that Yuzu is mature enough that whoever he chose as a coach, he can still grow as a skater. Staying with Brian is more about familiarity and practicality since being there enables him to have freedom from public and media as well as being close to his main choreographer (Shae-Lynn and J. Buttle).
  22. I'm actually over my worries of having new people at TCC. I'm more afraid that Yuzu's not going to Beijing. Yeah, I know he already said that he's not certain whether he's going or not. And I know I'm being greedy and selfish for wanting him to skate competitively for as long as his body allows him. Ugh...I'm getting stressed thinking that he's gonna retire someday.
  23. Does the rule I underline mean after a quad is performed, then a combination jump with the same quad is forbidden?
  24. Agree with your point there. Considering Yuzu is Japanese, and Japanese cultures are quite different compared to the Western ones. I don't think we should bring this kind of thing to a bigger proportion than it actually is. If Yuzu want to continue talk about it, then I'm sure he will.
  25. Yuzuru is truly a happy news person. This only proves how much the Japanese adores him. I love!
