  1. I meant the season start July 1st so technically the skaters are turning 16 before the season ends. So technically, the rule is 16.
  2. Technically, the age is 16 since they have to turn 16 before July 1st. And it just seems hypocritical when their skaters (male) are doing quads at a young age. If it was their own ladies, they would even be pushing for it to be lower. And if these ladies don't retain their quads at 17? So what? And you never know when a skater will go through puberty. Tuktamysheva looked fully mature at 15 than satoko does at 20. Elisabet still looks like a little kid at 18. So the age limit wouldn't change a thing. Sometimes, medvedeva even looks like a kid at 18.
  3. In gymnastics, you have to be 16 by December 31 of the year you turn senior. Kyla ross was a member of the gold medal team for the USA at london 2012 at 15 since she turned 16 in October which is why I don't see the reason for ISU to change since it's about the same. Figure skating is just going through that phase because of new elements that skaters weren't doing before and they're getting injured more frequently. Gymnastics went through the same thing and it wasn't until the last two quads (summer) that you saw gymnasts well in their 20s contending for medals. It also came down to technique. Before, many were chugging their skills and hoping for the best because they know that they'll be rewarded for it, similarly to what's happening in figure skating. But when it got penalized more and the value of some skills decreased, many focused on improving their techniques and execution of skills which ultimately led to less injury and longer careers.
  4. All the programs are gonna look the same which is why I'm not against backloading, if it fits the songs. If it doesn't, penalize it in the component score. Why no deduction for falls? And bonus for clean programs? Shouldn't that already be the goal to have a clean program?
  5. I don't agree with that and technically it's if you turn 16 in the season. That's before July 1st. I feel that many people don't like it when they're not winning but if they were from their country, they wouldn't be against the rules. How many Japanese and internationalfans cried for it to change when mao couldn't qualify for the Olympics? But when it's someone who is not their favorite, it's an issue. And I don't even think it's competing against children because girls can go through puberty at different rate. Tuktamysheva looked way mature at 15 than many ladies who were years older than her. While someone like satoko can still look like a kid at 20.
  6. The return of hello, I love you or vertigo
  7. If he can do that, his ankle is doing much better.
  8. I guess so, everyone was already seating there already.
  9. The biggest problem for me is the judging. ISU should be the one selecting and paying the judges. Federations selecting and paying them is one way to corrupt the system. Think about it. Would you be harsh against someone who's paying you? The judges would always try to put their own countries first and it's detrimental to small federation too.
  10. I just realized that yuzuru has a small head
