I wouldn't call he came in as the underdog in 2018, he was the reigning champion and eventhough he was injured, it was still between him and nate. Similar to this year, it is still between those two. In 2018 his condition was unknown, in this year the condition is 4A will be unknown. Me too, when they asked skaters which they prefer sp or fp, all of them pick fp saying 'because i can express myself better'. Mostly because as what you said, they couldn't find the time between elements to do anything, unlike Yuzuru who fills every seconds. His SPs are masterpieces.

Yup, i second that. There was a point in time where I enjoyed their commentary. But it was when I was new into the skating and only watching Yuzuru's clips. Theen it all changed. Isn't he already inflated plus all the overlooked mistakes? He sure will be inflated but i don't think he will be the winner

his crossovers were always rare but especially in this program, they were hidden!! I easily missed few of them especially crossunders. He is above and beyond of all the field, i wouldn't think such program is humanly possible but there he is

Please do add, if i think about it, there were many comments about yuzu from toshi, phush, commentators and other people that he worked with but i cannot keep up after some time

I was away from the forum for a while but 4A brought me back and OMG!! I remember the times where it was like a mythical creature and it still feels like a dream

Not knowing his state was hell, the pressure from the media, all the push for his rivals etc. And it was so important for him to achieve!! I have never experienced anything like that! Now with the ease of him being the 2 times olympic chanpion, anythin left is a plus, just to see him still perform once in a year is like a gift so i’m pretty calm and just excitement.

It was such a beautiful program. I used to watch it almost everyday (the legendary 4mil vid *sigh*)

However i understand US media more. They push their sportman's achievements while JPN sometimes put theirs down unnecesserily
