There really are so many in YT. The common topic they discussed, from what I could interpret, is about the poses Yuzu did during the parade. It really amazes (and amuses) me how every single thing he does, no matter how little, gets noticed and seems to be news-worthy. Though I hope that doesn't bother him (or at least not much). Besides, when he really wants privacy, not only does he ninja so well, he can also "persuade" everyone to not leak anything about him.

Yes, exactly. I'm not good with words so thank you for putting those thoughts into words. The thing is, we all agree that Yuzu has done a lot of things as a "thank you" to his fans. But there's a difference in thinking "kyaa he appreciates my support! doki doki" to thinking "yeah thank me, remember, ya owe me! imma expecting more thanks from ya!" The former is like a give-and-take relationship while the latter is just being selfish. I support Yuzu unconditionally, it doesn't matter if he acknowledges that or not. The fact that he does is just a bonus. I say "just" a bonus but it's a big, wonderful, most amazing bonus i could get.

Ah, the phenomenon. I don't think he owes the fans still. It's not like he asked them. He's not a celebrity. I'm sure you're not belittling Yuzu, this is a forum for him after all, i just don't agree with how you phrase it. Saying he "owes his fans" and "acknowledging his debt". I rather think his being thankful to fans is because of the support his fans give him (like when antis slander him and fans voice out their support, or when fans go to competitions and cheer for him), than think that "yeah be grateful because this is what you owe me and more". And i'm not saying you yourself think fans own Yuzu, i meant that in general, no offense meant, and sorry if it seemed like i was targeting you. Again, i'm sure you also did not mean any offense in what you said, but your words can be easily misinterpreted and some who read it, fans and antis, might get ideas. And i'm telling those who will and did get ideas, "i will fight you".

He's an athlete. He doesn't owe his position (what position anyway? Certainly not his G.O.A.T. position, that's all on his own) to his fans. He appreciates his fans very much and is always thankful to his fans and i love that about him because he doesn't need to be, that's just how good a person he is. I can't speak for everyone but personally, he most definitely does not owe me anything. I, on the other hand, owe him so much because like what i've said back then, he's one of the few things in my life right now who make me happy and make me think "ah yes, it's still worth living after all". That's why i always say, no matter what, i'll respect his decision and support him. Well, except if it's illegal or detrimental to his person. ETA: I really hope no one here thinks Yuzu is a public property and that they own him and so they think that Yuzu is obligated to be thankful. And also think that everything Yuzu decides on, including his relationship, should first get their "permission". Like, wtf. Fight me.

I was about to ask for a video of JPNats 2015 fluff where Yuzu ran towards Tsuzuki-sensei, and I found this: I didn't see this in the translations and media index post (videos of performances and videos of documentaries) so I was wondering where we keep this or if we even do.

This was in NHK 2015 but I only got to see it just now. I love fanyus. And in my understanding, 75% of fans that time came for Yuzu? I wonder, in recent competitions, what % is fanyus?

I was under a self-imposed posting ban at that time and i remember laughing so hard when i read somewhere about Yuzu being the only one attentive during this interview. And also when P&G event used a Yuzu-cutout. Still cracks me up to this date. I don't think this will be not-funny, ever. And gosh, the thread moves super fast. Love it!

Yuzu acknowledges Boyang. I want Boyang to grow into his potential and prove Yuzu right. I acknowledge other skaters potentially beating Yuzu in a competition and i'd rather them beat Yuzu because they deserve the win than because of fudged up judging. Besides, at this point, i just want to revel in Yuzu being in competitions. And i'm glad he seems to also now skate for his enjoyment. I don't feel "threatened". Yuzu is a double Olympic champion, that can't be erased. He's not obligated to win all the time. If they rightfully beat Yuzu then, congratulations. But if their fans make fun of Yuzu, i swear to all skating gods...

Haha yeah I'm aware and I think it's a shame because Yuzu looked up to Patrick and made Patrick his motivation. I guess I should just be glad now that Patrick doesn't hate Yuzu anymore. Thanks for the thread btw, this I wasn't aware of. Now I have another thread to catch up with.
