Why would you think that Yuzu would think that? Is that how you think of him? Someone stupid who can't differentiate fond dragging from hate? I'm pretty sure his Japanese fans have been dragging him far longer than we do here and i sure hope Yuzu knows that it's only dragging and not hate. Do you want a forum that only sing him praises? Like a cult? That would be... creepy. I'm no blind follower. And Yuzu is not a god. An alien perhaps, but not a god.

I would just like to say that had the "criticism" come from an anti, we fanyus would be up in arms to defend whatever it is about Yuzu the antis are criticizing. I think that it is because this IS a forum for Yuzu that we can freely express our opinions about his choices. Where else but in our home? It's a fond dragging, like when i see my nephews and nieces wear or do something so funny to me that i can't help but fondly tease them about it. I also do it with my friends, and them with me. So what i'm trying to say is, please don't think that we don't sincerely support Yuzu just because we say we don't like one of his gazillion costumes. But now that i've thoroughly brainwashed my self into thinking that Dory is actually pretty, i'm happy to say that i once again love ALL of Yuzu's costumes. ETA: I "learned" to like Dory due to the help of our fellow satellites here. They gave their different opinions about it. So i think that expressing our opinions here is fine since we're all family here. We can give different perspectives. I really appreciate all the satellites here who share their thoughts. They're very insightful and make me think beyond my own beliefs. Sometimes the topic can be quite sensitive (at least for me) but i really think everything has been discussed maturely. I hope this would not discourage you from staying in this forum where we fellow fanyus cry, laugh, be proud, and facepalm about Yuzu every minute of everyday.

I have nothing against those fans who do, but yeah i agree with you. I mean, i kinda get why they'd want some sort of recognition for Yuzu, but personally, i don't want such recognitions. Maybe i'm just old, and don't really care about the world in general. But if it's a really cute pic of Yuzu, even if it's a tweet to nominate him for something, i'll be sure to like and RT it. I'm just shallow like that. I know, i'm confusing. I don't know my self either.

That's a great way of preventing customers from sitting/laying on their bed. Wouldn't want to sit on and crumple paper-Yuzu. I don't know about other countries but here in mine, some stubborn people still sit on sofas for sale even when there's a big sign saying "please don't sit on the sofa". On the other hand, some might be terribly tempted to lay on this bed.

I don't hate it! I just... don't like it. Well, more like "didn't". I now love it! Literally not one day passes by that i haven't rewatched Yuzu's Believe. I kid you not. I love everything about it. From the costume, to the tiniest nuance of his performance. And yes, including Che'Nelle's live-singing. I even sing it in The Voice app, but i don't post it. Same! The yellow was what really burned my eyes, but i eventually got used to it. My brain now automatically filters out the yellow. And i love the boobskirt! I didn't even have to "get used to it".

Ok, i was super against (well not exactly "against-against" because i can never be against anything-Yuzu) this costume but now, WOW I LOVE THIS! Perhaps watching his Wings of Words a thousand times convinced my brain that it's actually a pretty costume.

The lighting IS important. I don't find the costume eye-burning in this clip.

Did NA media report about it? Because during 2016-2017 season, or perhaps it was only in the videos i saw, the commentators did not mention anything about it. And it made me wonder if they thought Yuzu "crumbled under pressure" and so they think Yuzu is "inconsistent" or a "has-been" or "mentally weak". Still makes me angry when i see comments like these.

Which reminds me, was his injury during Boston World's reported after? I remember fans saying there was a 3-month media blockout after Boston. Is the NA media at least aware of it by now?

Sorry for the double post, and I guess for being off-topic. It's just that I was reading some YT comments (on Yuzu's videos) and I'd like to say, I really love this planet! Even though I don't comment here a lot, I read every post you guys make, and I love that we can say anything here in the planet and have a proper discussion about it. (Most of the time, by the time I caught up on a topic, other satellites have already said what I wanted to say, so I leave the explaining to them.) There are perspectives that I agree with, but those that I don't, I take in with an open mind. I'm really interested in knowing different views on things. It helps broaden my horizon. I'm glad we feel comfortable enough to share our thoughts, even if it might sound silly to others. And I'm glad that even though it might sound silly to other satellites, they don't make fun of the satellite who brought it up. I was just reminded of these things because of the rude comments in YT. So again, thank you for this home planet! (What happened with the emoticons? There aren't any. Or is it just in mine?)

Haha i hope so too. I don't bookmark translations and even for videos, i don't bookmark a lot. I ought to change that. Anyway, here's what SuzyQ posted here and i guess she also got the same impression.

Yes, when I saw that convo I even thought that Yuzu was being a playful braggart because he fished for more compliments. And then I saw an interview with him where he explained that he was thinking "why still a boy" and I was like "oh so he wasn't actually fishing for more compliments that time". Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with fishing for more compliments, that could even be just him being playful. But I can see why there would be some people who'd think that's him being arrogant. ETA: Aside from the clip @SuzyQ provided, I think there's another interview where Yuzu explained that. With Matsuoka perhaps? But admittedly, I don't know Japanese and only relied on the translation, and the translation I got was that Yuzu was talking about the "boy" part and not the "good" one.

Oh gods, this. I remember feeling so awkward when I saw this the first time and I vowed to not watch it again, ever. And so now I checked just the gif to confirm if we're thinking of the same instance, and yep, I still feel awkward. (I can, and do, rewatch CoC'14, 4Lz-fall, Boston, programs with mistakes, but not this one. And also JSC'13. I feel so embarassed just thinking about it. My brain is weird, I know.) Poor Yuzu was misunderstood and he seemed to struggle so hard to convey his thoughts. I'm glad his relationship with Brian got a lot better.

Aww sorry that brought up sad memories for you (about your dog passing away) but at least it also brought up happy memories (like you saying that to your dog, i always find dog-owner relationship cute, ahh i'm so envious). Now i hope whenever you hear "good boy", it would also make you think of Yuzu. I would joke you could merge the idea of "dog" and "Yuzu" together, but yeah, i don't think it's funny. Besides, i prefer Nyanyu, Meowzuru, and whatever else cat!Yuzu is called.

Wasn't there an interview with Yuzu where he was asked about that convo and iirc, he said that the point he was trying to make when he asked "Just good boy?" was that he wasn't a boy anymore and so should have been "good man" or something, and then Brian misunderstood so he followed with "amazing boy"? Please do correct me if i remembered wrong. I don't quite trust my memory.

Kinda OT, just my take on the hate on US media: I understand why US media hypes Nathan, he's their skater so of course. And even when the article was supposed to be about Yuzu and then i see it mention Nathan with no mention of other skaters, i understand that too. I'm not bothered nor offended by it. But i also understand that other people can be fed up especially if they've been fanyus for years and have repeatedly experienced Yuzu being ignored by NA media. That's their opinion and it's not like they're hating on Nathan. They're just simply fed up with the media. I'm the same with our local news lol. So, i hope this misunderstanding of "hating" will be cleared up. I think we're all mature people here, even the young ones, and the admins are strict on the topic of hating, so i don't think any hate will be in here. If/When we see hate in the other platforms, i.e. Twitter, then address that there. That's what i did when i saw hate on Nathan and Shoma and especially Yuzu.
