That's why I said I'm confused, because I think you're great (awesome, excellent, brilliant...) at translating, and I believe you when you say that's how you understood what Kozuka said, the other translators I saw in Twitter also didn't think negatively about it, but then we have the JP fans themselves who got offended and interpreted what Kozuka said as "dismissing Yuzu's achievements" or something. Anyway, do you mind also clarifying if it was said in the video that Yuzu is just "acting cute"? I saw some Twitter users being defensive about Yuzu, saying "Yuzu is born cute" (to which I agree lol). They made it seem as if the host was dissing Yuzu. Please note that my intention is not to make the issue bigger, I just want to be clear about it. Like I said, I'm preparing for when antis use these comments against Yuzu. And also, I'm a gossip who wants facts.

I'm kind of confused because the ones who translated Kozuka's comments to English don't think there's anything wrong with what he said but the JP fans themselves, who surely understand their language better, seem to be offended by it. Should have worded it better because the way he said it did seem like he didn't believe Yuzu would win because Yuzu did not "legitimately achieve the results over and over again". I don't think he meant anything bad by it and perhaps what he meant was what you said, but i understand why other people got offended. I'm at least thankful they're not hating on Kozuka. For now, i'm chill about this. I'm just preparing my self for when antis use these comments to "destroy" Yuzu's image.

Yeah, the strategy was valid but it does seem unsportsman-like. Really bad comparison to make imo.

I also think Kozuka's comment wasn't ill-intended but I do think it was a bad analogy. I agree with Kiyozuka that it's not comparable. I find it funny that before Yuzu got injured, many people (Plushy, Max, fanyus) said that Yuzu doesn't need 4Lz, he can win with 4S and 4T only. But because we know Yuzu's character, we resigned ourselves that he will do 4Lz and 4Lo in PC. And then he got injured so he had no choice but to use only 4S and 4T. And then we have here Kozuka saying Yuzu opted for a safer strategy, like what Japan did in football. I'm not saying there's a problem with Japan's strategy, it's just that they were different circumstances. So yeah, not comparable at all. I saw some nasty comments about Kozuka and it's really hard to police them (thank you to the ones who tried) so please I hope we don't see some nasty ones here at least.

Tbh what makes me somewhat worried is if he'd stop his silly antics because those might "not be appropriate". Seriously though, i hope he really gets to skate and live his life the way he wants to. (It's actually a fan report on day 3 of FaOI Niigata but they also mentioned the Nishikawa project) I tried sending in a message in English and got an automated reply from Yuzu so i suppose non-Nihongo messages will be included? And also, to others who sent a message, did the reply you got have Dory!Yuzu pic on it? Because that's the one i got and thank goodness i really like that costume now.

@Lenylan I'm also curious so I checked out your profile and found out you've been a satellite since May 1, 2017. I hope you got to see how much love and support for Yuzu have been expressed here since then. May I ask what prompted you to say now that we should only say good things about Yuzu? Was it really just because of the Dory costume? I hope we can make you feel at home here once again.
