All these updates, JFS will reveal one by one and end up by announcing his withdrawl right before Nationals Every morning I wake up, my first thought is what's next
-
Because this time we all know about his situation, it gonna be easier to accept the truth than the last time when he was suddenly injured and forced to withdraw. I know I should be patient and I really try my best to keep myself positive as much as possible, but sometimes just thinking about what he is suffering makes me ill Anyway he doesn't need to do any competitions before PC. If he is mentally ready for Olympics, he will be ready to compete and accept whatever may come. After all the bad things having happened to him, he better win Olympics And after his second OGM, someone better write a book or make a movie about his life . What a dramatic life !
-
Things are happening exactly in the same way it happened at NHK so I think eventually he still withdraws. It's okay to miss Nats. Nothing is more important than his health. He should be patient and focus on recovery.
-
I don't get why many are talking about other international competitions as if he would go to there. There are of course some competitions he can go to but the problem is whether he will be able to ( or want to ) attend. In my view, I don't see any chance of him competing at any competitions other than Olympics if he withdraws from Nats.
-
I hope his team will announce his decision early. I almost died from a heart attack when they announced his withdrawal from NHK like... 2 hours before competitions started If he skips Nats, it means we have to wait for two more months to see him again. Waiting is not scary. We had waited for him all summer long. Scary thing is waiting without knowing how he is, whether he is okay or not. It's not going to be easy for all of us.

He wants to compete... he wants to come back for Nats but we are not sure.... bla bla. Remember NHK ? We got exactly the same reports before official announcement. And we all know how it ended up At this point, until I see his Seimei's last pose, I won't expect or assume anything.
-
Not the news I want to hear but I'm not surprised at all. Probably in the past month I have never expected him to resume training after 10 days of rest because I know it's clearly not a minor injury. Idk despite this news I somehow have feeling that he will still compete at Nats. But I just remembered I had the same feeling convincing me that he would compete at NHK but in reality he withdrew so I don't trust my senses anymore

3. Totally agreed. That's why I want to see a happy and healthy Yuzu when we see him again. I don't want to see him pretend to be happy when sad inside like at Cor too ( too heartbreaking) 6. Good thing

Please Boyang, take care of yourself and comeback strong I wish you a speedy recovery This reminds me of Yuzuru's withdrawal and my bad mood at that time, it took me at least 2 weeks to accept the truth and try to move on ( honestly, the pain still hasn't faded )

"Road to Glory" by Arashi was used as theme song for NTV's broadcasting of Sochi Olympics too. I love this song so much. Beautiful melody and meaningful lyrics. Whenever I listen to it, all I can think about is Yuzuru "Your hesitation and anxiety will change into power Vowing to seize victory, you keep challenging yourself" "Believing in those days you constantly chased after a scenery no one has seen before You'll overcome them at last" "Remember all the pain you went through and you'll be able to stand up again and again" "You spoke with such resolute feelings That it shook something deep in our hearts" "The strength and sorrow that you show remain in our hearts forever" Why do all japanese songs seem to have such meaningful lyrics

I feel like we go back to off-season. No news, yuzu is in ninja mode and we are gossiping about him. I find it so peachful as if nothing had happened. Of course I'm worried about his injury (so much ) but I'm okay with no news about him until Nats because I really hope Japanese media to stay way from Yuzu at this time. Injury, withdrawal, that is stressful enough. No need to stress him out anymore. I believe all he needs is his own space to calm down after a stressful situation.
-
I only can watch his performances in ice shows and I try my best to avoid all his competitive performances ( especially at nhk and gpf ) because whenever I watch him skate, I start thinking of nhk incident. Similarly, after COC 2014 I prevent myself from watching anything related to COC as much as possible. I hate being highly sensitive
-
Me during off season: I would quickly get bored with Seimei& Chopin Seimei & Chopin: oh, we don't think so How stupid of me to have thought like that I miss them like hell now
-
Just admit it. He is in a really bad situation now. Can you imagine anything more terrible than being injured during Olympics season? So if you try to list all difficulties he has to deal with from now, it will never be enough. He may be Worlds and Olympics Champion but he isn't the favorite anymore. It was when he accepted to withdraw from NHK that he accepted to go back to the beginning. He is precisely the one who suffers the most. Please give him some space and time. I actually hate that japanese media is with him all the time which makes him uncomfortable especially when he is having a hard time.

https://www.bilibili.com/video/av15190819/ This brought tears to my eyes Miss him and his skating so much
-
It hurts like hell. I twisted my ankle when walking ( yes, just walking on the street) several times. There was no swelling or bruising but the pain was so sharp that i can't walk properly for about 2 days.
-
Yes, once he goes to Olympics, nothing can stop him from competing. The way he accepts his situation may have improved as you said but his stubbornness and his samurai spirit have never changed. I think he accepted to withdraw mainly because he accepted the fact this time he really let injury prevent him from competing. He definitely looked into the fact that the Olympics are coming soon and he should throw a sprat to catch a mackerel but it's not the main reason for withdrawal, it may be just a reason which he sees as one of the ways to comfort himself. That's the reason why he had to take such a long time to decide to withdraw.
-
No, i believe if he had have been able to skate, he would had competed. At that time, he had no choice but to withdraw.
-
Yes, everyone including you and me, expects to see him compete at Nats but only on condition that he is FULLY recovered. I don't want to calculate anything when he is still injured. Everyone is scared that someone would break his world records, that he would be defeated . But not many people seem to remember that only if he is healthy will everything be resolved. If not, all calculations about layout, rivals are in vain. In addition, Shoma is different from Yuzuru. Every individual person has different motivations. Also, under different circumstances, in different time, one's motivation varies a lot.
-
Personally, I expect to see him compete at Nats ( and 4CC if possible). Firstly, this means he recovered well, which is expected more than anything else. Secondly, he will have one more chance to skate competively before Olympics. I think there is no way that JSF doesn't send him to Olympics even if he withdraws from Nats. Yuzuru is literally popular in Japan as reigning Olympic champion so they are put under pressure not only from the media, the public but also from Japan sport federation to send him to the Olympics, especially when he is able to compete and win a ( gold) medal.
-
I always get a warm, soft feeling when someone calls him "Yuzu"
-
Whatever happens at Tdp, the one who receives the most attention from Japanese media must be Brian Orser. I can imagine him receiving tons of questions about his surgery and of course about his students.
-
Urggggg, thinking about his injury always makes me feel depressed. I’m literally not going to be okay until I see him healthy or I know he is recovering well
-
Of course. It's all on him. Just my thoughts about what he should do. But his team surely have to reconsider the plan they had made.
-
No. He HAVE TO remove 4lutz ( even 4lo) from FS layout or he would injure himself right before Olys. I'm talking to you, Yuzuru Hanyu
