I encourage participants giving physical gifts to take a photo of it (or the package) to post on the forum during the reveal period to tide your secret santa over until it arrives! Hello fellow citizens! I thought it might be fun to do a secret santa among us! All participants will be assigned a number, which I'll draw out for assignments using a random number generator. Then you'll have until Christmas to make/write/draw/... something for your person. I reckon we'll need at least 6 participants to make it fun, so please consider joining! You don't have to give anything huge - most of us are busy this time of year and have little time. But here are some ideas below: - A collection of favourite photos, gifs, or videos... pick your favourites or maybe make a themed collection (e.g. featuring particular colours, skating elements, years...) - Music video - Graphics (e.g. icons, wallpapers...) - Fanfics - Fanarts (*) - Physical items? (*) - Head cannon stories (e.g. jump ladies harem XD) - Poems (e.g. limericks... or hanyu-ized christmas lyrics??) - Playlists - Tix to ice shows (j/k.... (but also: me please! XD)) (*)If you'd like to give/post a physical gift to your person, that could maybe be arranged? I'm happy to pass on PMs between pairs, so we're not posting our addresses on the interwebs for all to see... If there are particular items you'd prefer NOT to receive (e.g. fanfics), please say so in your sign-up post. We were organising Secret Santa at work today and I was wondering... would anyone be interested in a Planet Hanyu Secret Santa? Our gifts could be things like: fanarts, graphics, poems, stories, collection of your favourite videos / pictures... We could assign a number to all participants and then use a random number generator to allocate assignments?

OT, but I'm watching the Australian Nationals on livestream and just saw this in the advanced novice sp: XD And yes, he was skating to HnL... not sure how 'allowed' that is but I enjoyed it! The costume was great, even if the skating was a bit rocky!

Guys Swan was so amazing tonight! I hadn't even planned on watching it, but turned on the live stream on a whim to see where it was up to and caught it just in time! Aahh, but his movements were like water. I admit I was originally disappointed (but understanding) of no new Ex, but now my soul is healed. ...And don't get me started on his face...

Guys I just watched it and I'm just about crying! Sure the jumps weren't perfect (good in a way, re: the peaking thing) - but the step sequences and the choreo sequences were just... GUH. And the costume updates are subtle but look so powerful! (and how extra was the "4 L" finger signing in the KnC lol) (and now I can finally get a good night's sleep, after 2 nights of being on call and then /this/ XD)

Ahhh, I see. Thank you! I figured it was something like that, since I guess most FS competitions seem to be held in the evening. (Lucky for me, since I'm on-call this week! XD)

I have also not been able to convert any of my family It's so frustrating because I know my sister would totally be sucked in if I could just get her to watch one video! I remember skype-ing Plushy / Yagudin YT links with her one night years ago, back in uni, so I know FS can at least pique her interest. I've tried everything from playing the videos on my laptop while sitting on her lounge, to playing the soundtracks loudly when she's in the house (she appreciates instrumentals), to pointing out the insane intricacy of his costumes (she's into sewing)... with no luck! I tell myself it's a process of attrition - I'll wear her down eventually... I need more strategies, though! XD But also that's why the Planet is so important - without it I would surely have imploded a long time ago! XD

Hello! Long time lurker (since last year on GS) coming out of the woods in time for the Olympic season - I anticipate not being able to keep my emotions to myself for much longer! I have a very clear memory of coming across Seimei, being absolutely awed at its perfection, and then binge watching videos until the early morning. I also have many fond memories of coming home from a long work day to new yuzu content and accompanying... shenanigans (*cough* purple church *cough* ) - so thanks everyone! It's such a relief to have an outlet, haha Slightly , but is anyone going to the Brisbane JGP? I know there are a few Aussies here...

Hello! Are there any other Aussies going to Brisbane JGP? I impulsively took a day off work (Thursday) - since I was unable to convince anyone to come with me, I was hoping to sit next to a fellow Fanyu so I don't feel so awkward, lol >_< . Also, might someone explain to this clueless newbie how to interpret the program? How do I know which sessions are practices and which are the competitions? Excited to see my first competition!
