42. For musicality till the tips of his fingertips (the first thing I fell in love with), for not skating to the music, but being the music himself.

Good to see official news finally, I hope Yuzu will have good time at home with his family (earphones and games))) One month of rehabilitation sounds not bad *not that I completely trust JSF but hope for the best*

Way to be dead from kawaii

Still didn't catch up fully but here're some CoR thoughts *now Helsinki feels like it was in another live* mostly personal experience so under spoiler I didn't know that I can feel more love and admiration for Yuzu, but seems like I can he's the most inspirational, strong and beautiful (inside/out) person I know, love him and all the fans that made atmosphere in Megasport arena unforgettable. Now, Yuzu must take all the time he needs to heal and rest with his family. I still hope to see him in Saitama with his dream skates and see him happy after. I also want to add that I was totally in awe of how many little changes were made in choreo between Helsinki and CoR. The most obvious: other steps before combo and SE after combo in Otonal and that badass highkick after sequence in Origin so the sky is a limit for him

I'm ready! *only my computer hard drive is not)))*

But without URs Shoma would have BV 90.33 and Yuzu 90.83 For Nathan it's hard to predict how far he will go, maybe he'll make an upgrade at next GP already.

Interesting discussion about Origin. For me it's always hard to find what meaning is behind the programme/what thoughts are put into it (well, reading people is surely not my strong point))) until a creator talks about it or portrays a certain character. When the programme is more abstract like Origin for me it's more about mood and music. And I adore first jumps on the beats and how later it has natural slow and fast parts. And also I love when Yuzu gives this I'd say not dark but strong/dominating vibe. It's a total opposite to light Otonal. Of course for a programme to have a full impression Yuzu needs more sharp and strong movements (like at practice) but I'm sure he'll get there))

Yes, FS was not perfect especially compared to Heksinki's H&L but I would be more worried seeing perfection now, for a first GP it was amazing. Yes, Yuzu was saving energy, especially stsq and other transitions were more sharp in practice, some moves weren't there but for now I'm completely OK with this, I'd rather him land all the jumps now and add more transitions later when he's in better condition. And it was also great to see Yuzu happy with his achivement, of course there's kuyashii still, but at least he gives himself credit for staying on his feet)) And the funny moments behind the boards: when Jun was skating Brian raised his leg during jumps, during Yuzu's FS I didn't look at him but heard loud enough "YES!" on every landed quad love Brian

Alina's PCS became already high even before OGM last year (strong fed and all that). I agree that in the free Yuzu can have less PCS advantage this time - he was definitely slower and concentrated on jumps then in SP which is understandable. Hope with more training later in the season he will give more power to that stsq and bring back some transitions. And sometimes there are a lot of questionable judging in technical elements, so I gave up on PCS long time ago... Yes, hope they will be back! Idk he took it out to have more time to hit all spin levels or just for a programme to be less tiring for now.

I agree that it was warm at the arena (at least on judges side, my friends said it was colder on the opposite, maybe cuz the doors were there), even at morning practice when there was less people I think it was warm enough to open jacket or to seat without it. About behavior

Maybe? it's hard to hear with all the crowd noise was it him or not

Awwwww, but boy got the moves and feels the rythm alright I vote for energetic songs at every Gala finale!

I've read that Brezina has more relaxed attitude this season, he wanted to quit but later decided to continue a little more. Whatever he's doing it's working by now. And his rocking FS was a perfect way to end the comp when the crowd was already on fire (even though emotionlly it was hard to switch to his performance stright away). Kolyada I think always stucks fingers in the ears (I think Pogo did this too and some other skaters). Even music didn't help Kolyada's performance this time (to which you want to clap along), it's such a waste of talent aaaaaahhhhhhhh I just can't... shows you that talent is not enough to be at the top if you don't have a character of steel. I also have a moment recorded when Yuzu was cheering for Brezina )))

I don't know now when I will have time to catch up, so I'll just say that GP Helsinki was a wonderful time - one of the best ever (on par with WC 2017 and GPF 2015 if not better), Yuzu showed wonderful performances and will to fight, he's still has some way to go, especially with FS (for now stsq is more sharp at practices and his overall speed in FS is not up there, like he's saving energy, bit that's understandable, I'll be frightened if it was perfect already))) But the most precious memory for me will be seeing Yuzu THAT happy like it's not first GP event but a 3d Olys this boy is such a sunshine (not that I didn't know that)) and always so humble

My desire to learn Japanese better just became sky high

When I became a fan in 2011-2012 it surely was stamina but later as he grew up he became much better with it. Sometimes his overthinking mentality became a weakness (all this 4S and CoD mental blocks + putting too much pressure on himself wanting to be foot perfect all the time). But at the same time he has strong mentality as an athlete (and he got it the hard way), so it's just part of his character. Without flaws where would be the fun? I agree. I could live with longer hydro or IB in Origin, not necessary to do both (though maybe for this programme he wanted all his signature moves). I'm OK with the fact that he has certain music tastes for skating, at least he's gone on board with Jeff's suggestions before, not like he didn't ever tried other then lyrical/drama. I'm always torn cuz I love him in more rocky/sassy style like PW/LGC, but at the same time I adore him when he skates to the music that he really feels (still waiting for tango/flamenco programme though))).

And we have a class about celebrities that we're a fan of at my Japanese class now Teacher want us to make a small presentation and said will be nice to make a presentation about a native celebrity but I'm like... no way will not miss a chance to talk about Yuzu (especially when he is one of my best motivators to study all this))) That's all I needed after hard day/week/month at work and a class after that to get mu spirit up!
-
I even don't think Origin needs to be completely clean to have a great impact, even one-two mistakes will not hurt it if Yuzu will have enough energy till the end, not like H&L which became wow only when completely clean. Though in terms of construct (order of the elements) I think H&L was more interesting then Seimei. As for Otonal I think Yuzu's interpretation was great for a first start we shouldn't compare it with Chopin 3.0

Apart from podium/medals thing I don't think organization was that bad. Even unallocated seats surprisingly were not a problem and I liked Marseille )) But Strasbourg is great! Though I'll take anything in Europe))
-
I think I was lucky last year when I found a 7-11 on the way with yellow/blue collecton - only saw it in 2 stores in Tokyo (not that I cheked that much but looked in some while wolking in the city
-
I use my last year's Xylotil clear files for my Japanese class too (don't use CiONTU ones still), also for printed documents during travelling.

Yeah, his hands are so graceful and elegant I'm jelly more about them then the waist...
-
Lotte upping their game I see ah, I want all of them - pretty Xylitol costume and those naughty Ghana ones *I just got stuck on the one with closed eyes*
-
I'd take young Romeo from Nice 2012 anytime, that's the program I fell in love with from the first sight (let's say it's like a first love and I'm getting sentimental)) And if I need only last quad I'd say H&L from Helsinki or LGC from GPF to keep me entertained

The best riverdance I remember was done by Jason Brown. That's a complicated question. I think we know that not every skater is like Yuzu and choose their music, but it doesn't mean that skater can't skate well to it or interpret it in his own way. But there're music styles that suits one skater better than the other, suits his character or the way he moves. And there's also the choreo, a lot depends on how well choreo is made, how it highlights specific music genre and music itself. Well, I liked both
