On a more serious note, it's probably bc of his asthma. I have asthma and I hate swimming bc it's hard to breathe. Especially here in the US with the amount of bleach they use to sanitize the water.

I think what helps Yuzu is he is always certain of his goal. He knew Sochi gold medal was within his reach and he put that as his goal since he was a kid. I recall the one talk show where he told Nobu he knew his goal to be an Olympic Champion when he was still in middle school and Nobu was shocked to hear it. Yuzu also put 2 OGMs as his goal from the beginning, thus he didn't lose motivation after Sochi.

To be fair, they picked a bad pic of him and well he looks handsome on the tennis court. In tennis, even for girls, we have this "beauty on court" phrase. Tennis players usually look handsome and pretty on the court, but outside the court, they look unappealing lol but then I am his fan (he's the only current Asian man to be that good and he's kinda cute on court), so my judgment is super biased. Yuzu on the other hand, looks like an idol especially in that an an pic, who would have thought he's an athlete with those muscles

So Yuzu finally confirmed his ice shows' dates :omg: I guess he's working on his new choreographies now and if he doesn't do DOI, then we could probably see one of his program's spoiler. I don't think he would do many shows this year, I mean he kinda sounded less enthusiastic talking about ice shows in the previous interviews. He only performed in Japan 4 times last season (I count SP and FP separately) because he missed nationals, so I think on the positive note, the Japanese fans would feel ecstatic to see more of him this year and our off season would be more cheerful with some Yuzu's stuff here and there. :space:

Yuzu can be a coach in Sendai. He can build a skating school and crush those powerhouses who kinda treat him as an outsider. I think he has the chance to build Sendai to be a powerhouse considering how Sendai has had 2 OGMs. If he becomes a tech specialist, I don't think any federation wants to invite him :smile: Not even JSF would invite him bc well the biggest powerhouse there always have problems with UR jumps. He would probably become jobless right after his 1st job as a tech specialist But yeah no choreographer Yuzuru please, I'm sorry but he just sucks at it

Wow this number :omg: Yuzu jumps really high, doesn't he??? A 60cm for a 4T?? Is that normal?? It was said he needs to increase his speed by 10% to get that 17cm extra height. However, Yuzu rarely goes on full speed into his jumps, doesn't he? I mean considering his preceding steps into the jump, where he puts transition and choreography. So, I guess his 47 cm 3A height and 53 cm 4S height are probably not his max jump heights.

Wow reading this just makes me goes. Why so messy??? I mean I know you can have dramas when you practice with other athletes from the same discipline, heck my academy (different sport btw) had a lot of dramas, but never once we went around throwing tantrums to the coaches lol like what the heck. I'm glad to know the TCC team and Yuzu are both adults who could sit in a conference room and talk things out to find a solution together. Yuzu Fairy my savior uploaded the video of Yuzu discussing the technical requirements for 4A on YouTube I posted this bc we kinda "joke" around about him putting 4A before. I want to emphasize his reaction and expression on this video while he's talking about 4A. He really really looks like he wants to do it. He went "it's only 17 cm" and "I think I could do it" a couple of times. He also said 17 cm was only the length of his hair I kinda got the impression this kid knew how to land this jump already from his smiley face the whole time both him and the mc were discussing this. Like his expression kinda looked like "ehm I just landed it couple weeks ago and it wasn't that hard" He even confirmed he jumped it already, even though he didn't say whether he landed it or not ... Guys I'm scared like really scared... This kid is just ... unbelievable and uncontrollable most of the time ... I can't predict what's on his mind.

bc they've rotated ~0.5-0.75 on the ground -> looks like 4 rotations therefore "quad" ETA : I think most jumps will have some degree of prerotation though... Yeah I mean it is acceptable to call >=3.5 rotations on the air as quads because 3A has 3.5 rotations, but when you rotates 0.75 on the ground, which means 3.25 rotations on the air, I kinda feel unfair to be called a quad. Well I guess just as you said, although the rotation is on the ground, it's still a rotation and makes the jump looks like a quad. Ahh they probably think if they change the rule now, the score in the Olympic would be way below the problematic athletes' PBs and the federations and fans would accuse them to cheating. That's what I'm afraid would happen to tbh. His cheeky naughty face on the broadcast when he heard he only needed 17cm more for the 4A is haunting me. Wow never heard ZERO PREROTATION mentioned ever in FS, bc well too much pre rotation is kinda the more popular topic. I guess that's why Yuzu's triples look so big, bc he doesn't pre rotate. This really great discussion from you guys really reminds me once again why Yuzu is called the genius on ice! :space: I have a question, like a genuine one, if 3A which has 3.5 rotation is still called a triple, why does 3.25ish jumps like some other guys quads are called a quad? I mean is there any general rule like other than 3A, other jumps with more than 3 rotations are quad jumps? Bc logically speaking it's still a triple...
