I think we all agree Fuji TV is the biggest troll of all, especially after that morning tv show

I have this impression that his spins' arm movements are free style. Like yeah he knows he should put arm movements there to make the program more beautiful, but his arm movements are rarely the exact same movements from performance to performance, no? It looks like it depends on how he feels that day

Ehmm I was about to reply Hydro that since Yuzu made his acting debut already and in 10 years he could you know improve his acting, he may act in the movie himself. Also, we all know how this guy doesn't age at a normal human being's rate, so with make up and CG, 32 yo Yuzu could still act as the 19 yo Yuzu or even worse maybe 15 yo Yuzu Bc idk if an actor can do him justice especially on the ice

I was supposed to start studying for my exam 4 hours ago, but here I am watching Chopin for the 123049538384820th times and reading / posting on this thread I think this is life at Planet Hanyu, our thirst for him has no chill I'm honestly waiting for an autobiography movie about him in 10 years. Language barrier can be damned, I'm flying to Japan to watch it and telling my future kids that their mom was there celebrating his wins in front of her laptop

Thank u so much for this!!! The YouTube one is blocked for me too wow this is so beautiful the 1st spin somehow doesn't feel awkward anymore and the hand movements suddenly hit all the right notes. I wonder if this is the magic of a clean performance, when every single thing suddenly feels right on its place

Ehm without 4Lz but 2 3As, he probably could go with 4Lo 4S 3Lz 4Lo3T 4T 4T2T 3ALo3S 3A no? It's still a 5 quads layout

Actually, I came back to this thread after watching several versions of Chopin to ask about Chopin 3.0, but got distracted by the news Anyway, anyone knows what's the difference in timing between Chopin 1.0 and 3.0 that makes the timing into the 1st spin so off at the 3.0 version? I know in 1.0 especially at COC he had this huge SE-3A-SE and then kinda spent a little bit more time on the SE before going into the spin. However, the program sequence was still the same and it didn't feel awkward back then.

Damn... if he thinks we haven't seen Ballade to it's full potential yet, I wonder what is an ideal perfect skate he has on his mind?? I know he's such an overachiever and a perfectionist, but this statement really makes my jaw drops I literally just finished watching 5 different versions of Ballade (Boston, COC, FaOI, DOI?, GPF 2015) and I honestly thought I had seen perfection. But what is this Yuzu???

If they turn his life into a TV series, it would be one of those 100 eps Korean weekend makjang drama or telenovela type seriously. How come a person went through so much and he's only 23 y.o. It's amazing how he overcame each of the challenge tho

Why does this water bottle look more appropriate with that pose than the damn 200 usd fancy Bluetooth toothbrush

I agree with this, Western coaches are more flexible to feedbacks and new training methods than Asian coaches. This is my observation based on my own tennis competitive career. I lived in Asia and spent my childhood there. I practiced tennis with Asian coaches. Some of them were very rigid of their ideals. I needed to change coaches several times bc when you grew older, competition got harder and you needed to improve by a lot. The same old training regimens, most of the times, didn't work anymore and you ended up stagnating. I changed to a coaching team, who was open minded and accepted feedbacks. They prioritzed communication. Every time some of the athletes, including me, went overseas for camps, they always asked what was different. They, then, incorporated that new training ideas into our practice. I realized they were different bc they all had experiences training abroad when they were still competing, they also had US coaching certificate, so their style was more westernized than others. And, believe me, their flexible, more organic style, worked so much better than a rigid coaching style. It helped the athletes to realize their own potential and could have their own style despite coming from the same tennis school. This being said, I am worried, just like some of you said here, that Shoma's effort to fix his jumps abroad wouldn't change his jumps so much. Bc if his coach acts like this, I am afraid when he gets back and tries to give feedback on how to make his jumps better, she will disregard him and tell him he's being mouthful.

Ah.. his birthday is in December... gonna edit my post

What is this old salty xenophobic lady doing, throwing shade to a boy who bows every time he sees a Japanese flag and doesn't ever let the flag to touch the ground, while always making sure to fold it super neatly????? Her skater, on the same exact podium as Yuzu, didn't even bow after the national anthem was done playing And doesn't even use the correct term while talking about Yuzu, who is not only a senior in FS world by a long shot, Yuzu debuted at 15 okay, he is also 3 years older! Just keep the shades coming Nagoya, let's see which one is better 50 Shades of Yuzu by Nagoya or my version of 50 Shades Darker of a-certain-someone-who-is-proudly-presented-to-you-by-Nagoya

Well that knit cardigan is "Tom Browne" and the current similar model costs 950 usd for normal knit and 1750 usd for cashmere. https://www.thombrowne.com/webstore/category/knits/ So, I suppose I should be thankful that at least they dress him in a fancy popular brand

Well, it's Olympic, it's supposed to promote "world peace". So, I don't think it would be problematic. The Korean public might not like it, but I don't think it would affect the judges. As long as Yuzuru, his team, and his fans do not wear/bring any rising sun attributes, which was one of the official regulation I believe, everything Japanese should be fine. They even must play the Japanese national anthem, "Kimigayo" if I'm not wrong, if any of Japanese athletes wins. That song was problematic in Korea apparently. There was a problem with a Japanese, who is a Korean idol, in a TV show years ago. The program played each of the program's panelists' national anthems, including the Japanese national anthem. After it was played, the public was super pissed and demanded apology. So yeah, as long as Yuzu performs something like Seimei, which basically has nothing to do with the history background of both countries, I don't think he will have any problem.

His 3F with 0 GOE tho
-
I wonder if his body build doesn't suit guys' clothes so much that any non-sports clothes look too big for him especially long sleeves, they always look like 10inches longer than his arms
-
He looks like he's about to act in a Naruto live action movie The turtleneck underneath the shirt is okay for me bc I've seen a lot of Korean actors wore it last winter, so it might have been a fashion thing. But the pants, the showing socks, and the shoes are such a terrible combination
-
I am not sure bc I was just randomly watching old videos of Yuzu on DM and this came out
-
I happened to see this at DM and I just realized Yuzu had survived 3 generations of media-made-rivalries I wonder if he decides to stay after Pyeongchang, would there be the 4th generation of Yuzu's rival This vid is so cute and the R&J 1.0 ex, despite the messy jumps, is still intense and draws me in
-
Just wait guys until Yuzu decides to skate Chopin 3.0 with his Juliet costume, I doubt it would bring the similar feeling like Chopin 2.0. I got that image in my mind before, and it was awesome in a really weird way. What is calmness when you have colorful rhinestones dancing on the ice with fast footwork

He does. And it's just ... just ... so beautiful and I fell in love, then came the realization that he's wearing the boobskirt and ... I lost my mind and meoima cats are about to kill me
-
Ehm... butt?? but seriously tho, I think I'm really Yuzu deprived to be able to imagine Chopin with that costume or maybe the huge huge circle of Chopin discussion we had here just ruined my brain cells anyway, for the wow factor topic, I am in the side where I think the biggest foundation of wow factor is a clean program. Like for H&L, no matter how you hated that program, when it went clean, your jaw just dropped. That wow factor from a clean program would never diminish. He did Chopin clean 3 times and our jaw still dropped 3 times. He did PW clean 2 times at Sochi back to back in such a short time and people went even crazier at the 2nd time. On the other hand, some people doubted him a lot this season bc he didn't have clean performance until Worlds FP. So, I think the wow factor would definitely be there when he's clean.

I think the number was like 1200+ visitors, and I was like "do we have something going on?" But then, nope, the thread was actually slow and without news Anyways, guys pls don't kill me. I was rewatching the Sochi 2014 fancams and suddenly I fell in love? with the boobskirt full of rhinestones Yuzu juliet costume I was never a hater of that costume, but it suddenly looked so beautiful when Yuzu took a pic with the Japan's flag wearing it. The rhinestones were full of blings and Yuzu was literally glowing What I felt was so severe that I just hoped he would skate Chopin 3.0 with the blue version of that costume I really need some Yuzu's updates, this deficiency syndrome has ruined my brain ETA: this is the culprit
