There's a Japanese blogger who's putting ratings for all FS broadcasting into a neat table, according to which: JO 5.6%, SC both days (SP and FS, men and ladies) outside rating (<6.6%). Rostelecom men SP 15%. Surely Shoma's popularity is growing within FS fans but not yet enough to draw attention from general public. http://blog.goo.ne.jp/x1fm7pc88/e/abe31c5b2498f4ac56b892febb708fc1

Toyota is not listed as official partner for either JSF or ISU. It's an IOC partner. Also, I don't think big money is involved in Shoma's contract as a temporary empolyee with Toyota, as Miki, who had a similar contract before, once said her salary was not much higher than ordinary employees. But of course Toyota has worldwide network that could be very helpful for its athletes taking part in competitions abroad.

Mitsuki said this in "Quadruple" 2017 March issue. He wants to reach JGPF while Yuzu is still competing. GPF and the Nationals are the only chance for him to attend the same comp as Yuzu and he's hoping for a picture together!

Sorry for coming back to this so late but for me as a native speaker and translator the word "wildness" is more objective, general and just right. There might be a hint of masculinity in that word "荒さ" but it still remains an implication and is up to your personal perception

I found this tweet, saying "He seems to be coming to Finlandia this year, too! Can't wait for October to come, can we?" This obviously is a bot-like account that totally randomly tweets past events like they have happened just yesterday

Oops. I've revised the translation as above but "where to put it" as in my first post IS correct after all. What happened was I first translated based on the article itself and posted it here, and then after a while when I read the tweet again I read only the transcription by the poster of this tweet. Fact was, she was a bit careless when copying the sentence and put in an extra letter that is not in the original article. That one letter was enough to change the meaning of the comment slightly!

Or more precisely: "I'm weighing if I should put it and where"

Tsuzuki reveald his talk with Yuzu on meeting him at the exhibition: "Now that I've mastered 4Lz I'm weighing where to put it". OMG

Thank you for the reply. Yes, it's very interesting, isn't it? About the writer's thoughts...well, many think that she wouldn't have used the word for her fave skaters As you say, there are other standard expressions used in such context and other media all used one or the other. Anyway re. Orser I just wondered more generally if a coach would use the word "recycle" when he talk to the press about the decision to repeat a program for his student. Sorry for not being clear.

Good to know that to say "recycle a program" doesn't have any negativity at all in English. For Japanese "risaikuru" almost always evoke the concrete image of „waste“. So many FS fans (not only Yuzu fans) are upset about the article (Nikkei) where the reporter went out of her way to use this word in connection with FS program, which is unusual. I wonder if it’s likely that Orser himself used that word and she picked it up. Would he do that?

Here's the translation of some useful info on traditional clothing in Japan I picked up on Twitter (account is private) : The „black haori-coat with crest and hakama-pants“ combination, which Yuzuru is wearing on this poster, is the most formal among traditional attire for men in modern Japan. It’s more formal than the one he was wearing at the „Kohaku“, which included a „colored haori-coat (dark blue in this case)“. The latter is decorated with his family’s crest though, while the former with the crest of City of Sendai. Therefore the colored attire is considered more personal.

    Source pls?
  13. General Yuzuru chat

In fact I read a Japanese tabloid article "exclusively disclosing" Yuzu's "painful" decision to go back to "more prestigious and experienced DW " for Oly but this story about choreographer battle between him and Shae is nowhere to find. Quite fishy. But you say the source is "a skating magazine" :eh: ?
  14. Deutschsprachige Ecke

Kannst du mir sagen in welcher?
