GIFT is now available on Disney+ in the Netherlands as well I like how the cast section says: Yuzuru Hanyu. No other names. But I wish they would add a bit more information about Yuzu as a figure skater for those who stumble across this video on Disney and don’t know who Yuzu is. I read a lot about different competitions on this forum and other sources I could find (I read and watched everything I could find about Yuzu in my early fanyu days) and I don’t know how you could survive 2019 GFP. I would have been devastated and would have cried for weeks (like I did during Beijing Olympics). Can’t even imagine how it was for Yuzu Some say he’s strong, but he’s also extremely sensitive and I can imagine injustice did hurt him a lot.

I became a fanyu during WC 2021, so I am relatively new to the family and the number of competitions I went through together with Yuzu is rather limited. But I totally understand you, I must admit I sleep better and my heart is at a much better place now. So is Yuzu’s! And I’m happy to see him being happy!

Praising me? This is embarrassing… I don’t know if I’m a devoted fanyu, I feel like I could do so much more. I see people drawing wonderful arts, making crafts, writing poems. I have no such talents and I’m sorry I can’t let Yuzu know through these ways how much he means to me. I hasn’t been able yet to go to Japan to visit his ice show (getting a ticket is a separate discussion) or even go to Sendai because of the health issues I’m having for some time now. I could be more devoted to my Japanese studies. And I should be because there is no excuse for not being to. anyways, I’m happy to “have” him in my life and be part of fanyu family! Good luck with figuring out how to join YT channel. It can be hard at times to find ways to be closer to Yuzu, but he’s worth it

If it wasn’t for Yuzu I would never: - started learning Japanese - ate gyoza and tried to make them myself - watched anime’s - woke up in the middle of the night to watch him competing - bought a ticket to a figure skating competition and threw it in a trash bin because Yuzu got injured and skipped the event (twice ) - bought books in Japanese I can’t read - cried over a figure skating program, actually a lot of them (all skated by Yuzu off course) - became so enthusiastic, inspired and obsessed about someone I don’t know - tried to become a better, kinder person - subscribed to a YouTube channel and paid for a membership - created an account on a social media - felt like my life became enriched and probably other things I can’t remember right now….

Just ordered the Japanese version and will probably get an English one when available. You're right, this is a way of showing our support, for me it is the only way right now other than posting something here or on his YouTube.

I am falling in love with Ashura-Chan more and more! And I’m so pleased to see Yuzu being happy and smiley, I only hope he’ll be reasonable and won’t attempt crazy jumps or other staff on this dark arena. I have to admit initially I had some concerns about him taking part in SOI, these are all out of the window now I see him enjoying and hear the crowds going wild and mad at each of his performance. I must admit I didn’t expect Yuzu to skate One Summer’s Day, maybe because it is such a magical “special” program. To me it was something he only wanted to share with the audience at GIFT, something sacred (if I can use this word in this context). And SOI… well, it’s just SOI I thought. however, reading his words that he wants to skate the programs people want to see and knowing many fans wanted to see this program again, I understand his choice. Don’t get me wrong, I do want him to skate it, but maybe in a different show, different place. and now we don’t even have a video of it

I loved today’s upgraded version of Ashura-chan, even more than the GIFT’s version which I enjoyed very much and which I watched so many times! But the way audience cheered for Yuzu today… wow, that was something… and his cool face at the end of the program saying “I know I am cool”, “I know I am the GOAT” (and not in an arrogant way), I enjoyed every moment of it!
