If you listen carefully, the rendition of the theme is also cut short, it really sounds off. And I noticed part of last year's tour A finale choreography is incorporated in the OP of this year. E.g. Shizuka moving from Weir to Lambiel to Fernandez Confession time: after watching the OP multiple times, the cursed stained-glass-approximately costume vest/hoodies isn't so bad (on Yuzu 🤭)

There literally can't be FaOI Makuhari without SOMETHING chaotic happening. Today's been so fun. -> OP surprisingly better than I imagined, but I prefer the choreography and usual flow of the Fantasy on Ice theme song from previous year. I was a bit disappointed that Yuzu's 4T wasn't on beat when his name was called (meaning, Yuzuru - 4T - Hanyu) -> necklace misbehaving - Yuzu's jewelry really seems to have knack of leaving him when he's wilding 😂 -> wardrobe malfunction - considering Yuzu even takes off his jacket BEFORE going back stage (assumingly to use all the time he can for changing into the finale costume), I'd not be surprised to find out he rushed the zipper too and broke it -> sweet, tease Yuzu - never change!

I can't believe FaOI is on Friday and still no Yuzu sighting... I mean, yes, last year the first Yuzu crumb dropped two days before the first show, but with Yuzu having now SNS, I would've expected at least a 'hehe, guess where I'm at' (clown me)

I'm so annoyed by the gatekeeping that's happening this year. I don't have any expectations for Kobe & Niigata since they are notorious for gatekeeping (Kobe more than Niigata), but I really really hoped Miyagi would pull through, especially since they are already holding live viewing nation-wide for the 3rd day. I'm not giving up hope yet, but I know broadcasts are announced about 1 month before they happen. With FaOI Miyagi being in about 2 weeks... live broadcast on the 3rd day doesn't seem likely to happen. I hope there will be re-broadcasts of most stops like they did last year. I'm sure they earned a lot from the FaOI broadcasts then, I can't wrap my head around why they are gatekeeping so hard since they know FaOI is basically a guaranteed money-maker.

This is the first time in my Fanyu life I see Yuzu at TCC in real time (or as much in real time as possible). Beijing Fanyus life has truly been a rollercoaster since day 1. I'm really curious if Yuzu's also getting choreo done for FaOI or if we'll have a YouTune video filmed at TCC (doubtful).

If it wasn't for Yuzu.... I'd have never discovered the (fragment of the) song my favourite childhood music box contains. I have this really old, cheap, music box shaped like a Merry-Go-Round that plays a VERY short fragment of the song. For more than a decade I had asked around and tried to find ways to identify the music. The music sounded familiar to so many people, but no one could point me in the right direction. So I kind of gave up trying to find the song. Then I saw Yuzu's Hope and Legacy and felt like the music was SIMILAR to my music box's sound. It wasn't it, though. But I decided to watch some Studio Ghibli movies because I found out Joe Hisaishi's music was in a lot of them. That's how I ended up watching Castle in the Sky. And I found my music box's song - Innocent.

If I could've, I would've watched One Summer's Day all day today. It was such a beautiful performance and I don't have the words to describe it. Besides the performance, I absolutely adored the way Yuzu left the ice - he took his time bowing and I used that to fully appreciate the costume. It also felt like he was sort of show-casing it when he glided towards the exit. Nothing Yuzu does on ice is meaningless.
