Yep, he is breaking records again, just on a different forum
-
I think he must have some PR people in his team to take care of his public appearances. At least I hope so, so that he is able to fully focus on skating and other people will take care of the rest. I also keep my fingers crossed that they really notice how big his fandom internationally is, so that there will be English subs. This has really been a day of joy what a TANABATA for all of us 🤸🏻♀️💃🏻🤸🏻♀️❣️

Thank you sharing 🙏🏻The comment from Italian doctor was touching. I really hope Yuzuru sees it, should he ever have even tiniest doubt about the meaning of his skating, this comment alone makes it all worthwhile. HIP HIP HURRAAA for his YT channel It was a total surprise but whan a surprise, and I belive it is just the first one of many surprises, Sooooooo much looking forward to them

Or maybe he is lurking here, right now 😉....Hi Yuzuru-san, Happy Tanabata🎋 ( it sounds like kanapata (= chiken stew) in Finnish and now I can not get it out of my mind...sorry, but yes, I am very happy that he seems to be mentally in a very good place now and ready to start something awesome. I hope his body is equally good conditition to follow wherever his mind takes him. I am sure he will have all the support from us Fanyus he could possibly hope for. Joyful kanabata weekend to everybody

You are not alone, I am not even able to watch his competiton videos. It will take loooooooooooong time until I am able to watch them again and hopefully then feel the same joy and happiness that I felt when watching them for the first time. This separation anxiety would be easier if there was some info about when will we see him next time. Also I really hope he will have a good PR agent and own web page (with English translation) as a performing professional athlete & artist, I think it would be really useful and fun thing to have for him and his team as well as for us. So far I am enjoying and hoping for every little bit of crumbs. Thank you Planet Hanyu and fellow satellites for providing them 🙏🏻🥰

Besides Rondo I wish to see Chopin ballade, White Legend, Seimei, TTCT, Requiem of Heaven and Earth...well actually all his programs, filmed on ice perspectives as a celebration of his amazing competitive career and sold as a DVD or a movie world wide release...sigh
-
I am in as well . Can I pass info of this project to a few Fanyus that aren't familiar with Planet Hanyu ?
-
Photobook to celebrate Yuzuru is a great idea . Printed book will not dissapear to the bit space but he can keep it and watch it when he is old (a light year from now because he is forever young) and remember one of the turning points of his fabulous career. I am looking forward to the thread with instructions when and to whom send the photos. I am happy and proud of alll the Fanyus, there are also other projects going on on different platforms to celebrate and support Yuzuru and this new phase of his skating life

Absolutely, you are all welcome It is time to have real figure skating to this ice hockey kingdom
-
I was surprised as well.. but maybe our little cold country has a warm place in his heart, as he has won every competition he has participated in here 😀... Yuzu if you are lurking... sorry for the bell peppers but if your world tour visit in Finland we'll clean the whole country off them... it is a pinky promise😉

Me too 😭, but hopefully he will skate in Japanese TV Show 24h in August, like he did last year. That White Legend was one of the most beautiful programs I have ever seen. Life goes on and Yuzuru will take figure skating to new heights. I am especially looking forward him to make ice shows even more interesting and when he is raising the bar, other skaters will have to do the same. I hope and pray there will be a World Tour at some point. There must be an army of fans, me included, who has not had a priviledge of seeing him skating live, so welcome to Europe Yuzuru & comp. ❣️

Celebrating the 5th Anniversary of Planet Hanyu!
Suzu replied to Yuzu_legend's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
Happy 5th Anniversary Planet Hanyu May your journey through space and time continue for another 5 years, and after that another 5 years and another.... When did you become a fan of Yuzu? WC 2012 Free skate, at 3:29 min from starting pose I knew I am watching a talent there has not existed ever before, and I have been watching figure skating for several decades. Yuzuru was spectacular, he was gasping for breath but still not giving up, not for an inch, he skated till the very end fiercefully being Romeo with every cell of his body...I was SOLD for the rets of my life. When and why did you sign up for Planet Hanyu? In August 2021, I was lurking quite a long time before signing up but eventually got the courage to come in. I live in a country where ice hockey is a religon, so I had no one to share my enthusiasm about Yuzuru and I just needed to "talk" about him with someones understanding why I am in 7th heaven every time I see him skating. Did you make any irl friends through Planet Hanyu? Unfortunately no, not yet anyway, but I am looking for opportunity to find one some day somewhere. Have you participated in any group projects on Planet Hanyu? Sadly no, but I did send happy birthday wishes to the birthday thread, but that dosen't count for participating does it ... Did you attend any meetups with other satellites at competitions? Unfortunately I haven't been lucky enough to attend any competitions so far, but I keep fingers crossed that Yuzuru would continue competing and we would have an honor and priviledge to see him in Europe. What do you like the most about this forum? I appreciate very much for all the info I am getting, for example how to watch competitions or Ice shows live from Japan TV, also I enjoy reading all the different views about Yuzuru and figure skating in general. It is always so nice to come here because of the positive vibes I am getting from here. The moderators are doing excellent job for keeping the athmosphere light and respectful 👍 Would you like to participate in the giveaway ? Well...since you are not going to give me Yuzuru, I guess some merchandise would be the next best thing, apart from his skating of course, so yes, maybe...okay, yes 😁 -
HAPPY 5th ANNIVERSARY PLANET HANYU AND FELLOW SATELLITES ❣️ It has been a pleasure to visit here first as a lurker and then later I was even encouraged to post some comments about The Greatest Figure Skater Ever and the most amazing, gorgeous, hard working, wise beyond his years human being. I have followed Yuzuru's career since WC 2012 and he never ceases to amaze me, how he year after year renews and refines his mastery. He truly is THE G.O.A.T. Thank you Yuzu and Thank you Planet Hanyu and its wonderful Staff and Fellow Fanyus for existing and providing most memorable moments🥰 I feel we are on a flight to unknown destiny and only Captain Hanyu knows where and when will we arrive, but it is going to be an incredible experience, sometimes bumpy but always rewarding flight , also HAPPY 1st OF MAY ❣️🥳🎉🎈

Thank you very much for posting. Absolutely spot on article about Yuzuru's performances in Beijing If he ever has doubts about whether his skating means something to everybody, I hope he finds and reads the article and be immensely proud of his performances and looks to the future with great confidence and happiness.

Happy Hope & Legacy 5th Anniversary Day to every one and especially to the master himself ❣️🥰 I keep coming back to this program again and again. I love everything in it, the music, costume, choreography and Yuzuru's beautiful flawless presentation. I have watched probaply hundreds of figure skating programs during my life and very few of them has stayed in my memory but this one has a very special permanent place there. About Yuzuru & fashion photo shoots, Yes Yes please, Vogue or Harper's Bazaar ( I absolutely loved the one Xinyu and Shiyue have done for Harper's Bazaar). Although Yuzuru doesn't need styling, he is so photogenic no matter what kind of lighting or angles he is photographed from...sigh Here is the proof:

Thank you very much birnasan for the translation of Shae-Lynn's interview. It is propbably the best interview about Yuzu & Rondo and TTCT I have seen so far. I was totally fascinated about Shae-Lynn's story about Yuzuru's story about the Rondo and TTCT and what they mean to him. They were so beautiful stories demonstrating how deep and intensive experience skating is to him. I think that's why we have irrevocably fallen for him and his skating

Nice to meet you too and thank you for the Yahoo clip. Absolute nothing would make me more happy than see him on the ice again but at the same time I really hope he has patience to fully rehabilitate that ankle. I have to confess I am a little bit worried, it is only six weeks from the Olympics free skate...I hope he is not doing too much too soon. I am absolutely sure that every fan has patience to wait him to come back when his fully recovered. However, if he is practising, that must mean he is not thinking of quitting any time soon
-
Me neither...I have watched it at least ten times this evening ....Enrique was totally in the mood ....and then Yuzuru wonders if his skating makes us feel anything
-
To bring little bit of happiness to this dark night.... I couldn't agree more with the spectator of this video OOOOOOOLEEEEE....Yuzuru Hanyu, I loveeeee you.....
-
Exactly, I don't believe for a second that Yuzuru would let anyone influence his decision about his future. If he chooses to continue his competitive career I firmly believe he will do it for all the right reasons like the love of this wonderful sport AND to present an alternative to the monotone programs consisting of jumps and crossovers AND to give brilliant choreographers equally brilliant skater who actually can implement their wildest ideas and who also has ideas of his own AND to express the feelings he has no words for but which we understand in a blink of an eye as he paints a picture of them with his skates AND to broaden our view of what is figure skating AND the most wonderful thing of all, to connect with music and give it a physical form with movements as only Yuzuru Hanyu can... hm... of course he can do all that and more without competing....I think I'll just go now

Thank you for the info about G&G..aah Cirque du Soleil I love them too. I guess there is one more common denominator between G&G and Yuzu: they are willing and able to search for knowledge and help from other gifted people outside figure skating in order to improve their performances. The Annick/ Nelson video wasn't unfortunately available in my country but it is ok, I sort of can guess what they were talking about. I am so sorry for Kevin, it feels really really unfair that one mistake costs so much, just like Yuzu's in SP in the Olympics. . Thank you for the Yuzu video. It was nostalgic there was that exact moment from WC 2012 Free skate when I became a fan of Yuzuru. I can still remember the moment I realized I am watching a talent there has never been before. If it is so nostagic for me to look back as a fan, I wonder how nostalgic it is for Yuzuru. He has truly had a wonderful journey within figure skating world and hopefully no regrets and hopefully journey continues

I agree, he is now the best he has ever been but unfortunately his injuries have played a big part regarding his placement on the podium ( he should have permanent G.O.A.T stand there in every FS award ceremonies whether he participates the competition or not) I firmly believe he was and still is unbeatable if he was/ is able to skate without injuries. I know I shouldn't say this out loud, because the decision of the re..re..nt (I can't even write the word) is only his and he will be loved and supported whatever his decision may be, but Iam saying anyway: I wish he would continue competitive skating...there I said it . Partly I wish it for very selfish reason; we would be seeing his skating much more than just in ice shows which probably will be presented only in Japan. Partly because I think he is the only one really bushing figure skating to the new never before seen dimensions. His competition programs are so inventive and ingenious and demading so much skill that I doubt there will perhaps never come a skater who could perform the way Yuzu does. I am so not ready to give up him and return to dulness of usual figure skating seen thousand of times before
