  1. Not sure if this has been shared yet, but this is absolutely sending me
  2. My current past time is reading all the comments under Yuzuru's video. He truly is a miracle boy Here are some that were shared on Twitter:
  3. How much is the highest competition prize money again? (I don't think this video is monetized, but it bodes well for the future He can sustain himself and future projects with just a handful of videos.)
  4. I'll have to make a slight addition then: fastest figure skater to reach 200k barrier
  5. It seems the good old days are coming back
  6. IN JUST THREE HOURS!!! WOOOOO!!!! YUZU SILVER PLAY BUTTON UNBOXING VIDEO WHEN--
  7. That sounds pretty good! You can still leave a comment and STREAM whenever he uploads We're heading into the kpopification of fanyuism lol Gotta get those views up.
  8. @Anabel Yeah They also mail you a plaque that looks like this and a lot of YouTubers upload an unboxing video for each one they receive. I'm hoping Yuzu will do one as well.
  9. YouTube gives out awards for subscriber milestones! You can read more here.
  10. ALREADY 50K+ SUBSCRIBERS IN 2 HOURS LOL He's totally gonna get that silver play button in less than 24 hours, and it won't even be close And you know what? Deserved.
  11. Can I just say that the comments on his video are so wholesome and heartwarming? Everyone's just congratulating him, expressing their excitement, and writing messages about how he changed their lives. I know he gets an abundance of letters already, but seeing how many comments there are in so many languages (and the channel has just barely been created!) is making me teary. I hope he sees and feels all the love and support that he deserves and enjoys seeing his subscriber count skyrocket every minute (Watch him get a play button within a week of opening his account lol)
  12. Same here! I don't think I've fangirl-squealed like this at anything in my life before
  13. I'M SCREAMINGGGGG! OMG I'M DEAD. I NEVER THOUGHT HE'D ACTUALLY DO IT. Please post your practices. I'm begging. The white wall, the piano background music, the underarmour shirt--what more could we ask for?!?! That's it! I'm officially over my Beijing depression era. I'm loving this pro-athlete Yuzu era. I hope this means we get to see him more often

  15. Yeah, he cheated on old man Pooh-san with someone younger and fluffier after all those years he spent by his side
  16. I also believe he'll keep skating to technically challenging programs, but I do hope he performs them in Olympic-sized rinks. That is probably the main thing I dislike about ice shows; I want to see him fly across the ice at full speed. He couldn't go full out on LGC last year because the rink was so tiny. Not sure if it'll ever happen, but crossing my fingers that he holds some shows and events in regular stadiums like competitions. I think it might be worth sacrificing physical proximity to skaters just so they can have a full rink.
  17. I'm glad my words could help you process your feelings as well And yes, I think the regrets will always be there, even for me. But although he didn't have a Pooh rain, I'm happy that he felt the entire world's love and support during that difficult time and that he realized that our devotion is deeper than points and medals. So while he did start without a Pooh rain and leave without one, I'd like to think of it as, he left with the hearts of millions of fans who will now follow him into his next journey, wherever he decides to take us
  18. Sorry guys, this entire post is just going to be me trying to process this entire thing, and this is the only place I feel comfortable enough to do so. Warning: Very long, meandering post full of salt, sugar, and spice. Skip if you want. (Also writing this at some insane hour, so please forgive the sleep-deprived errors and mess.)
  19. Trying not to worry, but this was pretty unexpected. Hope it's as some of you predicted. Either way, I will give my full support. (How the heck am I supposed to focus on work now though?! )
  20. Reason ∞ to be a fanyu: Well, guess the ride's not over yet, everyone. Time to buckle up again and hold on tight! This post has been tagged by robin as [NEWS].
  21. Crumbs! It feels like it's been so long since we've seen smiley Yuzu. Give us more smiley Yuzu. Smiley Yuzu increases serotonin and eliminates cortisol. Smiley Yuzu is a gift to the world. I mean look at this: And this: Anyways, regarding the actual content (lol), he just never misses with any of his answers, does he? He just has this way of distilling such potentially messy events and feelings into simple truths and lessons. I'm projecting a bit, but I feel like most people would not have come out of Beijing (or the past four years, or his entire career, for that matter) unscathed had they personally gone through what Yuzu did. It's incredibly difficult to keep up genuine optimism and hope when faced with a series of disappointments. It's so much easier to give up. However, Yuzu stays true to himself and instead of getting permanently beaten down, he rises, takes his experiences to heart, and uses them to propel himself forward. He doesn't just say positive things for the sake of being positive. Notice how he doesn't even fake optimism: not everything will be rainbows and sunshine even if you put in the effort, and yes, there will always be tough times along the way. But, instead of hopelessness, what he takes from his experiences is this: "What matters is that you are leading a happy life by your own standards." It's times like these I'm truly glad I became a fan. He's just so unabashedly himself and doesn't cave to any sort of societal or institutional pressure. From simple things like lip-syncing boldly in front of people, to his costume choices, and to greater things like declaring his goals to the world and standing by his skating philosophy, I can't help but be moved each time and be inspired to stay true to myself and what would make me happy, rather than what other people expect of me.
