  1. I got the same vibe, sounds like he wants to stay competitive for quite some time. Any guesses what his third quad could be?
  2. LOL, I was in Paris four weeks ago and had the same thought when I saw the Nike stature and of course I had the Yuzu macaron as well😁😎. Even if I don't actively think about him, looks like he is a fixed part in my brain. And as everyone else I'm so looking forward to the FaOI madness. Sadly, I probably wont be able to keep up with it, because my weeks until july look kind of crazy, but I know I wont miss a thing as it will be here on the planet. So, a big thank you in advance to everyone for sharing the upcoming Yuzu content💜
  3. Thats exactly one big point why he is so loved. He treasures the art of figure skating and is a beakon of light in a sport that some want to change to something that has nothing to do with the origin of figure skating. It is performance, musicality, jumps, technic - it's a complete package and not only one element. He is THE complete package and I think we can be pretty sure he knows he could win more easily if he changed his way of skating, but he doesn't. And thats why he is our light! Side note: I like that in german figure skating is called Eiskunstlaufen, literally ice-art-skating. The name says it all, it has to be part art
  4. Ok, so I came back late and was like "Roman probably wont be live anymore, but lets check anyway"....and he was still on, playing some kind of game. Is that what he did the whole time? Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with it, he should do what he wants and has the most fun with. But if thats the case, I don't have to be sad about missing these lives on twitch.....
  5. So incredible happy for him. This season must have felt like a rollercoaster for him, so nice that he could end it with a really good result. Oh, nice....but most likely wont make it😕, will see. Quite curious about what he will talk about or do though....
  6. Maybe simple, but I would tell him to watch movies. I find movies are a great source for inspiration. You have storytelling and in the best case a great soundtrack on top. I also think one does not need to interpret a movie 1:1 to the ice. Get inspired by a story, but interpret it new and choose your own music or use the soundtrack, but give it twist. Same with books - get inspired by a story, think about it and interpret it your own way. Watching documentarys is also something I personally find extremly inspiring, so I would recommend that as well. Really now?!? What, if not one of the most watched videos on their channel would make for an exceptional case? Sigh, lets hope we get that video back somehow.....
  7. I was fist a bit afraid of watching it, because.....well, we know what happened, righ? But its so much fun to watch and really good to see him smiling and saying it was a great experience. I hope he has amazing worlds!
  8. Really? They have two spots? I thought it was only one, glad that I'm wrong on this.
  9. Really good to see this post, sounds like he is on his way to make peace with what happened.
  10. Well, thats certainly a better interpretation then my "damn, has he also hurt his hip" thought.....
  11. Second that, its really beautiful. Will keep it as a theme after the olympics are done.
  12. Oh thats fun. I got Parisienne Walkway. Nice description, even if its the opposite from myself 😂 (or I have no idea that I'm like that, LOL) Text:
  13. Wow, this is a cool picture🤩. Safe flight and only negative tests all around🙏💪
  14. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that the olympics and especially figure skating is happening in like 8 days. Just wish him an amazing time, that he can skate and show what he wants and stays healthy. And yes, the Interview is great. Edit: what the heck is this with the forbidden video sharing?!? He probably wouldn't share a whole competition (why should he), just snippets like training, some feelings and so on and thats not allowed??? Boooo, on that one😠
  15. Sounds like he feels quite a bit under pressure.....hope he can blend it out and just focus on his skating. And don't be afraid Yuzu, please. I know what he means. Sadly, it happens that one action or missed win will blend out all the previous accomplishments in the eye of the public. The typical "fall of the hero" phenomenon. But Yuzu, please trust us fans, we wont let you fall! And noone can take what you have done so far from you.
  16. LOL. I wake up, hear the rumor that he did the quad axel, want to check what happened and nope "sorry, the planet is in shock, come back later to get your news". So me, frantically searching through social media for some information (as a "I don't do social media" person) and finally found a post from Ambesi with a tiny video clip and ok, maybe not an perfect completed 4A, but it looks so much better, it really calmed me down and I now look forward to the competition. Just want to take this chance to say thank you to the planet - I really appreciate this forum so much and all the people that help keeping up with all the things that are going on and all the mods and admins who keep this amazing place running, so, just THANK YOU.
  17. Oh my......I'm not ready, not prepared, not anything..... I know "in Yuzu we trust" but I'm low key panicking right now Gosh, need to get myself mentally ready, I'm off to watch Seimei And of course i'm happy to see him skate again, but yeah.....so not ready🙈
  18. Dear Yuzu, maybe a little late but it comes from the heart. I wish you all the best and love for your birthday. May your dreams come true and you be spared from misfortune. You know that your figure skating gives us fans so much more than the pure athletic event, but I hope that you don't feel pressured because of it. Skate, because you enjoy it and find fulfillment in it, not to meet expectations. You are the King, you have nothing to prove to anyone. I hope you can approach all your projects, whatever they may be in the future, with a light heart and a lot of joy. Thank you Yuzu, for giving us so many great experiences. Hope your ankle is healing well and wishing you a ton of health.
  19. Done! If they want my opinion as a fan I will gladly give it to them. Might have done the whole survey just for the last "what do you want to tell us" box, but if I have to click some things to tell them a bit about scoring, judges and bias.....who cares. Will this change something: No idea (probably not, but one can hope). But it can't hurt to send as many responses as possible on the subject to them. As long as one remains neutral and factual, the comments should be able to be taken seriously.
  20. This is so well made, he did an amazing job and his friends with the song/singing/production as well. Really cool that Roman could try something like this, think he can and should be proud of it. @rockstaryuzu Did you also get a little "I need U" MV vibes at 1:25
  21. I hope he will have a great skate at Rostelcome, we know you can do it Roman!!! Stay positive, fighting. Is the media day video out somewhere?
  22. Just watched it and it had some really interesting insights. Especially the junior stuff. Many things are known, but it was good to hear him speak so boldly about the issues, hope that many more will follow so that maybe something will change for the better. Not sure if its because of the translation, but on some parts he talked a bit too much like he knows what Yuzu thinks/thought (not content from interviews where Yuzu said things himself), but otherwise a great video. A bit strange that it has "only" 26.000 clicks, as it has english and japanese subs. And somehow my brain got into some thoughts after seeing this video and stuck to one I can't get seem to get rid of. I imagine what would happen if suddenly "someone" would bring a quint jump; unannounced. It is probably not possible during a program, because the components must be known in advance, but the thought is somehow quite appealing. But during warm-up or training, that would be something. Everyone is skating and suddenly "someone" lands a quint jump and skates on like nothing happened. Interesting thought, but my brain is stuck on one thing: would one even know how to evaluate it at the moment? Is there a plan for this?
  23. I see six new pages and am all giddy, "oh, maybe his short program music was leaked", "maybe there is an official statement that yes, he did land the 4A", something good must have happened......................AND THEN THIS. Damn, life is just not fair. Can't the universe let him achieve his dream without any other obstacles. Hasn't he suffered enough?! Of course I hope that he will have a good and fast recovery (Yuzu, please let this ankle heal properly), but I worry more about his mental state. He just was at a good place again, felt good about his skating and then this has to happen.............I'm really glad that he is with his family and has their support for this.
  24. Have to say, now I'm kind of glad that the time difference to japan is so shitty for me. I probably can't/wont watch it live and I think my nerves will be thanking me like crazy, because I'm really not sure if I can handle the tension. But I will wait and see what happens in the trainings and depending on that my nerves might have to suffer. Edit: Great, and now I'm freaking out because I just noticed that I couldn't do my math right and its a perfect watchable time for me. ..................goodbye my nerves, I need to start meditating asap.......
  25. Not sure about embeds (?), but I had to try three times to get my last comment posted (from my laptop). Stopped it twice because nothing had happened after like three minutes, the third try made it.
