  1. That's why we all love him, because he is like that. I could not imagine him being the type of athlete who shoves his past wins in peoples faces, wishing to be adored for them but doing nothing to still try to improve himself.
  2. That I still cannot understand. There's a difference of 2pts between 4T and 4Lz and when you add half rotation extra is just 1pt. The difference between 4Lz and 4A should be at least the difference between 3Lz and 3A, which is 2.1 pst
  3. I think it will depend on the SP and what others do at GPF. He said his first goal now is to regain his GPF title. So if he's neck in neck with the next competitor after the short program, it will depend on what that competitor does in the FS if he's before Yuzu. If the competition is fierce, he might not want to risk the title for the 4A, especially if skating before the next competitor in the hierarchy.
  4. He feels he's on the right track now because his steps and transitions have been rewarded, as opposed to some other competitions, where they weren't. I think the issue will come back again when even if his efforts in putting transitions in his programs will be rewarded, those skaters with less transitions/steps before jumps will be rewarded just as much. It's not enough for him to be rewarded positively for his efforts, he must also be rewarded comparatively to what other skaters do. For example, it's not enough that his sandwich twizzle 3A gets +5GOE, if another 3A that is less difficult in terms of entry/exit gets the same score.
  5. Thank you very much! I'm thinking of going to the whole competition, in the idea that maybe I won't be able to do it again. There's no direct flight from my town to Torino, so probably taking the bus and train from Milano is the best option. Also, I envy you (in a very positive way) for being able to go to so many competitions and FaOI.
  6. Hello everyone, It's my first time writing here. I've been following this forum for a while, mostly for the amount of information it provides about Yuzu and competitions, but also for the nice community feeling that it gives. I've been watching FS for a long time now (it was Candeloro and later Yagudin who made me truly fall in love with the sport) and I've been watching Yuzu since 2012 WC when I first saw him skate Etude in that breathtaking blue costume with spins that reminded me of Lambiel (I think it's a given that his spins are impressive). I want to thank you all for all the nice things you say about Yuzu and for showing your support for him, as I don't have friends or colleagues who are fans of figure skating, therefore I don't have people to talk to about this, so mostly I was reading this forum and twitter. I finally got the courage to write something and I want my first message to express my gratitude to this community for being here for us lonely fans. It was really amazing knowing others also stayed up in the middle of the night to watch Yuzu skate at SCI, it shows how great he is at bringing people together. I was really inspired after the competitions this season to make an effort (mostly financially) to go see Yuzu skate live and I'm thinking of going to the GPF (need to still find tickets) as it's the only one in Europe and thus closest to me. All of this is because I see the joy on his fans' faces when they see him skate live. Thank you all so much!
