The calling is just weird to be honest. Loena's lutz edge is very questionable (honestly, I think you can even justify e), but the flip edge looks fine, yet it's her flip edge that got !
-
even the little tech calls seem off. not really sure where they're getting the Q from on Yelim's flip. that seems incredibly harsh, it didn't look 90 short to me
and Wakaba's -3T is Q at worst, wtf

I watched it with Max's commentary so I was just fine, thank God. I couldn't stand the Romanian commentator with the same shit like "Valieva the best in the world, Russian girls the best in the world blah blah blah" so I switched to Italian. wtf
you'd think that a doping scandal would make them stop saying this! don't they have any shame?

Waka... is trending? Lol
everyone talking about her being robbed, presumably

In all fairness, there’s only one thing anyone would want to ask about if Valieva was there.
yup, which is why this whole situation should have been handled by not letting her compete

Wakaba has never been beloved of JSF.
apparently either they or the ISU straight up hate her
4 minutes ago, Mary_kyo said:JSF usually more and less supported Kaori, not to the level of Yuma and Shoma ofc. But Kaori is more supported than the rest, especially Waka.
I don't actually think this is JSF. I think this is the ISU covering their own ass by deciding to throw a non-Russian a bone.

I 100% do not believe they let the lutz go because they didn't see it, given how harshly they were calling it everything else. They let it go so they wouldn't have a Russian 1-2-3 when that entire camp is under suspicion for doping.

Yep, this time was under review but not called
lol they really did decide that they had to give her a high score so that they wouldn't get criticized to hell and back

the joke of the day has just been told by the german commentator: he just said Kaori shouldn’t have been scored higher than Trusova LMAOOOOOOO
I'm genuinely unable to process the fact that someone can have such a bad take
-
does this mean her lutz didn't get called?
-
lol why do I feel like they finally decided to shower her with points in order to reduce criticism...
-
ugh why do I get the feeling that Kaori is crying because no matter how well she does she can't win because of the doping and judging
cuz she had an amazing performance

It was yellow, but it received positive GOE in the end? I'm glad
yellow just means under review, doesn't necessarily mean it'll be called

No shame left for the judges, they put Trusova above Waka
even Trusova's fans don't defend her PCS

HAHAHAHA JOKE ABSOLUTE JOKE
-
arms didn't come in on time for the 3A I think
sigh, I want to believe you aren't doping
-
oh that 3A is probably going to be called
-
Korean girls don't jump right next to the boards challenge
lol You Young's TES is lower than Valieva's too (edit: before review)

Just now, Pammi said:
without a 3A?? She only scored 4 for that jump...just how???
anna shcherbakova gets pretty close to that when clean, so
it's the ridiculous amount of points judges can add on GOE. if you put it all together it can create a huge score gap
-
haha that's what Rika Kihira gets for perfect SPs
joke
-
I'm going to hope the audience is a mix of Russians and people who feel sorry for her because the adults in her life are willing to dope her...
-
hm, they did deduct quite harshly for the step out on the 3A...yet her TES is still significantly ahead of Wakaba's lol
either way it's a joke

Does anybody know the latest "excuse" for Valieva's doping? Because last time I read English articles she should have drank something from the same cup as her grandpa who was using this drug (lol, for sure), but all Czech medias and Czech commentators are saying she admitted to "accidently taking her grandpa's pill" so it's still a bogus claim but at least it doesn't sound as dumb as the English version, but idk if that's what they are going for as an excuse?
yeah that was apparently their defense. pretty sure everyone thinks it sounds stupid
oh no, ugly fall from Karen
I do enjoy the program though

I had to replay about 20 times and pause at exactly the right moment to see it, so I don't really think it's that clear, especially in the actual video, which still mostly looks like it's around the 90 mark. Maybe it's clearer in the tech panel's camera angle, but I would have given this the benefit of the doubt and gone with Q. In any case, even if I call it under I still have her at around ~77 and in the lead, and I don't think I'm as impressed with Wakaba's PCS as everyone else is (though I am a relatively generous in general).
If they're going to call that harshly, there are a lot of edges that should have gotten e.
