  1. I think TCC is only for those who are able to be friends and training partners with their strongest competitors. It takes strong sportsmanship to do this. I'm not saying Yuna Kim didn't have ANY sportsmanship, I'm saying she couldn't raise that to a level where she could even forgive her coach just for being ASKED about just the POSSIBILITY of him also training a rival of hers. That kind of jealousy is pretty normal, so I'm not trying to insult her, she's just normal. But Yuzu and Javi have NEXT level sportsmanship running through their veins. They can both genuinely love their rivals, then put murder face on, get on the ice, and absolutely slaughter even their best friends. The best sportsman can lose a medal and genuinely congratulate their rivals -- being sad for their loss, but simultaneously happy for their rival's win. I see this same integrity in Boyang. I think he will thrive at TCC. And we know this sort of atmosphere makes Yuzu thrive too. I, frankly, can't think of anything better than Boyang and Yuzu training together. It will make Boyang better and Yuzu will feel like he's really won something if he defeats him in future competitions. Remember how it upset him to win at Sochi when no-one was at their best?
  2. Maybe we just have to define a NEW cool.
  3. Tell me, am I alone in this? Am I a crazy old lady? I found Yuzu before Pyeongchang, as I researched all the contenders prior to the Olympics. I don't care what countries their from, I root for the skater who most deserves to win, and there wasn't a shred of doubt who that was.The moment I saw him skate on a YouTube video, I knew Yuzu HAD to win. Ever since then, I've watched all his skates a hundred times, but amazingly, every time, I still literally leap for joy and scream out loud the whole time I'm watching him skate. By the time he's finished, tears of joy are streaming down my face and I want to protect that young man with my life, so he can keep on doing that forever. I feel this deep need to see him win a third Olympic gold, because he deserves that too. He deserves everything -- everything there is -- for making so many people so freaking happy. So tell me, fellow Fanyus, do you still leap and shout every time you see him skate? Tell me, am I just a crazy old lady, spazzing out, alone in front of my television? Oh, and speaking of televisions, I owe a special thank you to ME. Thank you, ME. Thank you so much for having the forethought to buy a f*cking huge, 65 inch Ultra HD 4K television to watch this angel on. And also, thank you ME, for buying the Japanese Bluray HANYU YUZURU -- TIME OF AWAKENING. I can't understand a word of it, but it's still one of the best movies I've ever seen. High def Yuzu, skating! YAY!!!
  4. It will be at each location for about ten days all around Japan. What happened?(?) That would be CiONTU. Those who would have been in line had to focus on CiONTU for awhile instead. Now they're back.
  5. HAHAHA! You're right! He treats us like cats. Before he goes on vacation (training,) he puts down many many bowls of food and water; puts out extra litter boxes; and gives us a year worth of kisses and belly rubs, along with a bunch of new toys. He flashes his sweetest grin and giggles his goodbye. We all giggle back and roll around happily on the floor for awhile, until we realize he isn't coming back.
  6. What do you mean by "multiposting?"
  7. OMG, I have never needed to talk to anyone more than I need to talk to Shae-Lyne Bourne right now. I just realized the absolute perfect song for Yuzu to perform his new FS to. PLEASE, everyone listen to this. I promise, you'll be in sheer heaven, imaging Yuzu skating to it. It's from the soundtrack of the movie Jonathan Livingston Seagull, which is about an actual seagull (And we know how much he likes having wings.) WARNING! EXPECT TO CRY FOR JOY!:
  8. There is one very SOLID (and probably very heavy) piece of evidence that Yuzu has been planning this for a long time. You can't possibly commission something as detailed as that big-ass feather to be made within two months. Plus, the graphics for the broadcast were sophisticated and ALSO time-consuming to make. I think he was planning the show no matter what. Whether that speaks to his confidence of winning or to his confidence in his popularity in Japan, I don't know, but it most certainly speaks of confidence.
  9. That is EXACTLY my experience! I have watched every program from every angle I can find, with every commentary I can find... a labor of love we are all sharing.
  10. You're kidding, right? First, all anyone has to do is watch Yuzu skate ONE TIME and they're instantly obsessed. Secondly, the proper response isn't "thank you," it's "you're welcome," because it's WE who have found this site who should be doing the thanking. Thank YOU!
  11. Geeze, you could have said that EARLIER!
  12. Thank God! (Sorry, Johnny.) That's because a warrior never tells you their weakness BEFORE a battle. They throw smoke bombs in to confuse and frighten the enemy while they prepare a sneak attack. It's okay now to admit to it. But I don't think fans were the target of his subterfuge (tisks sadly at poor Nathan.)
  13. We know why Johnny Weir was beaming from ear to ear at CiONTU. The GOAT was honoring not only his legacy, but his style sense, and nothing matters more to Johnny than THAT.
  14. You mean, awarded ONLY to Hanyu. "On Planet Hanyu -- population ONE - only him!"
  15. Yuzu just said he was going to improve his muscles so he could make better jumps. Everyone get ready for him to get buff... well, as buff as a fit person who's naturally that slender can get, anyway. I can't remember where I heard it, but he said "fortunately" he injured his ankle. A startled reporter asked him how that could be fortunate and he explained his philosophy of strength coming from weakness. He said he thinks he won the second gold because he used his time off the ice to really build up his core strength, since he had limits on how much he could do with his right ankle. And he discovered, just like everything negative that has happened to him before, he can turn disadvantages into advantages.
  16. You know what? It isn't actually fair for Yuzu to compete against mere mortals. If I'm right, he'll compete in 2022 Olympics and poor Shoma etc. will once again take a back seat to him. So maybe they need to create a Platinum medal just for him. That way, someone else could win gold. Hell, you may as well just call it the Hanyu Medal. And CRIES for Javi's bronze medal. (Quoting my own post HAHAHA!) ... I mean, whenever he's in a competition they already make a much bigger deal over 4th place, as if everyone has slipped their expectations, so in their minds, 4th place is actually a Bronze Medal.
  17. Same. And he does it the right way, as a truly noble sportsman. There is NEVER any spite. He honestly wishes his competitors well, he's just, you know, going to win. Period.
  18. I also think he already knew full well that he could skate just fine through the pain at PyeongChang and arrived late so he could stay on home ice and practice in secret. That's why his first two practices in public were so sedate. He was preparing a surprise attack to mess with their heads. -- Closing strains of Chopin's Ballade No. 1 -- Yuzuru Hanyu throws down a dainty, but viciously spiked gauntlet. "THERE, BITCHES! I dare you to skate after THAT!" Brian Orser's gloating grin BEFORE (who gloats BEFORE?!) Yuzu skated said it all: "You should NEVER underestimate Mr. Hanyu." And, was it Kurt Browning who said Yuzu was the best ever at "playing this game?" Yep, once again, we're on the same page.
  19. I wouldn't be surprised if this was part of Yuzu's plan. Maybe he already nailed the 4a before Pyeongchang, but couldn't use it there after his injury. Maybe he KNOWS he can do it again -- I mean after all, he specializes in the 3a. He also knows that even the 3a is a challenge for Nathan and many of the others, so if he fools his closest competitors into falling on their asses, while wasting time they should have been practicing elements they could actually do....
  20. You win for most correct response! Shivers!
