  1. I really love that first sentence! I’m so glad I mentioned my fear about those 66 theaters, since everyone is so sure it won’t bite Yuzu in the ass. You’ve all made me feel much better about that.
  2. Ooh, ooh, ooh! How? When? Sign me up!
  3. Yeah, I was really alarmed when I heard about the 66 theaters. I can’t think of many stars out there who could fill that many seats on such short notice when the star isn’t even performing. If the theaters sell out, I think Yuzu will truly cement his God status and any potential backers for future projects will literally shower him in money, because this is literally INSANE!
  4. Well that’s both great (people can’t watch for free) and meh (maybe we won’t be able to stream it from other countries.)
  5. I am SO glad you said that. I was worried because there aren't any young Japanese skaters skating. I knew Plushy and the others skated in the shows regularly, but I didn't know they had so many fans in Japan. Thanks for the reassurance!
  6. It's not the merch I'm worried about, it's the possibility of there being empty seats in all those 66 movie theaters that someone has to pay for. I think merch sales can make up for that even if the theaters aren't filled, so they really aught to make it EASY for international sales to help out.
  7. I have a crazy fear that, if Yuzu doesn't skate, not enough people will buy tickets and merchandise from CiONTU, and Yuzu's project may be a financial disaster, so I really, really, really want to buy merch to support him. If I felt he needed it, I think I would even simply donate. I donate a lot of my salary to charities and I think raising awareness about figure skating and passing the torch to new generations is a worthy cause. In fact, this is a truly noble project on Yuzu's part and I keep worrying about the old saying, "no good deed goes unpunished." Also, Yuzu recently said he expects a major disaster now because he won so big and with every atom of my body, I want the universe to prove him wrong. Is there any way that maybe a group of us could actually find a way to buy merch from CiONTU? There's a phone number on the "Goods" page for the lady organizing the sales... Well, I wasn't thinking that before... now, I'm like *SNORT! Well, I'm quoting myself because I did various Google searches and I may have found a place we can buy CiONTU merch from: http://www.japanhomemaker.tokyo/
  8. Hi, you should look in the media. Planet Hanyu has links to just about everything. It's a wonderful resource if you're a Yuzu fan. You should look around at the other forums.
  9. Barbarian Queen draws her sword to defend the purple ass-huggers.
  10. WHAT SACRILEGE! The purple outfit was fantastic! And it displayed his ass-ets PERFECTLY!
  11. I can't agree more. Seems we've been concentrating on the same aspects of him as a person. I am so impressed by him. I, too, heard that interview where he talked about applying his degree to figure skating. And I'm absolutely certain he will be a -- if not THE -- power behind ISU in the years to come. All across the world, his fellow skaters are already calling him their King. By the way, I only have a lowly BA in creative writing (special degree at Lesley University,) but I've won a few screenwriting kudos (nothing produced yet.) The biggest was first in my category at Filmmakers International Screenwriting contest.
  12. I think we ALL realized right away that Yuzu will soon be THE EMPEROR :-) of ice shows. He's already the star whenever he's at one. BTW, that's why I think he's been making a point of it to mention his college studies as often as possible. Education is extremely important to the Japanese and he won't be taken seriously as the head of any business without some college education. Did you notice the long list of sponsors for his show? He's also proven that he can garner the support of other institutions. That is more evidence that will be taken into account f he wants to apply for a business license and the loans necessary to start such an enterprise. He really IS already there. He could retire tomorrow and immediately go into a stupendous future as a show organizer. THE EMPEROR!
  13. Yes, I think Yuzu is even more of a strategist than people realize. Think about this for a moment, he's just had a long trip to TCC to consult with his coaches:, and he's bringing his best TCC choreographers back with him to Japan. NOW. I would bet my eye teeth that he's using the ice-show both as bribery to coax them there and as cover -- an excuse for them to be there with him -- while they secretly choreograph next season's routines with him. They will get paid by being in the show AND by whatever compensation they normally get for choreographing him AND they get more exposure by being recognized as his mentors. Plus, the music work, laying out the programs, costume design (Johnny will be there too), ALL of that can be done with only light skating, during his rehab. This is Yuzuru Hanyu -- King of making the best out of every situation. He'll also have his closest allies there to offer opinions. He's going to construct three new bombshells (SP, FS, Ex.) I'm also going to make a prediction. I bet he will use these bombshells for one season and then put them away in his drawer to secretly perfect in the coming years, while he uses other programs for the next two years. Just like Olympics 2018, he'll take those bombshells out of the drawer in 2022, because he's planning to win the NEXT Olympics too, and this strategy has already proven to work. Meanwhile, he'll also continue studying the physiology behind spinning, hoping to bring a 4a into competition (I refer to his College studies and his talking to every athlete he can find about how they spin in the air.) THE KING!
  14. https://www.delawareonline.com/story/sports/olympics/2018/04/04/jeremy-abbott-olympic-skater-stepping-johnny-weir-wilmington-show/484243002/ . Interestingly, Johnny Weir had scheduled to headline a show of his own in the USA on April 6&7, but he cancelled suddenly due to a scheduling conflict. I think it’s absolutely clear that he chose participating in Yuzu’s show over headlining his OWN. That says something amazing about how he feels about his future with Yuzu. I’m also remembering Yuzu’s interview, in which he said he wanted to start a new school of his own, with some of the legends who have influenced him. With Johnny rescheduling... I wonder if there will be a special announcement at Ciontu...
