  1. SE-3A brought to you by baby Yuzu ETA: SE-2A (Oops, I got too excited)
  2. Sorry for being slow, but was it Ghislain who had thrown the ball back to him?
  3. Or that he wanted to show off his purple pants on the OG stage, but was rejected so he is still being salty about it.
  4. Baby mushroom with his two gold medals! (And LGC lol)
  5. https://www.goldenskate.com/forum/showthread.php?64806-Yuzuru-Hanyu-2017-18-Season&p=2015354&viewfull=1#post2015354 @yude has been very kind to share with us some content of Yuzu's new book! Thank you! Since the new book doesn't cover the PC Olympics... does that mean we can look forward to another book in few years time? (And I am really loving my Twitter timeline right now, what a complete 180 degrees change!)
  6. I especally like the ones he did in Believe (Faoi 2015), and of course, the one you mentioned in pre-OG practice
  7. This is so nice... I can stare at it all day
  8. My Twitter had been in flames the past few days with the Japanese Yuzu fans trying to stop the spread of the misconceptions/lies people are putting up. I don't exactly know why but from what I can tell from their response it is concentrated from fans of Daisuke, Mao, and Shoma. One of the accusations they are spreading is that Yuzu wasn't in Sendai when the earthquake hit, and he had been taking advantage of the tragedy to boost his support in Japan. So the Yuzu fans uploaded this video clip, which was of a local news segment broadcasting the announcement from Sendai ice rink stating Yuzu had been on ice practicing when the earthquake hit, and was now safe (along with other staff in the rink). I believe this was the first ever news on Yuzu after the earthquake.
  9. Wow, I don't know if this is posted before, but look at this! Sorry Yuzu, you had tried hard in trying to hide your secret identity, but even your shadow betrays you...
  10. This is so nice... look at the golden lettering in Yuzu's name... a photobook by Ice Jewels
  11. Sorry to interrupt you guys, but I found this interview Brian had in PC, and it is in English! (His answers at least.) He talked a little about how the recovery period went for Yuzu among other things. It is quite interesting! (And to hear him talk about Yuzu's status as someone from another planet with superpower lol)
  12. I was hoping he would get, say, certain % of the profit from magazine sales considering how many were released post Olympics (the past years really). (But then again, he probably isn't short on money either... haha) I was a little surprised at how JSF tries to limit Yuzu's CM to maintain his brand, but not the magazine spreads... I guess the people featured in them don't get a say in whether they want to be included or not.
  13. I am really curious... so does Yuzu get paid from all those magazines that feature him?
  14. I don't know if I am the only one (or one of the few) that think Yuzu will be a good researcher if he choose to pursue that route? While I am sure he would become quite a good coach or commentator, I also think he will have so much to contribute in the world of science and research especially in figure skating. I am not sure if his personality will allow him to do behind the scene research work for a lifetime, but his life experiences as an elite figure skater as well as one who had been exposed to various difficult situations can probably serve as a good foundation to the topics he does research on. I think right now, at the era of quads and possibly even quints, scientific research is desperately needed in order to investigate the impact of these jumps on young skaters that had begun doing them at such young age and how to minimize the injuries and stress they have on their bodies. I already had this thought before when I heard him using and incorporating various researches and the theories he studied in class into his figure skating career, but today after listening to his thoughts on the lack of scientific research on figure skating and how majority of them are individualized (like his own) that my impression became stronger. He is so knowledgeable about the figure skating, and we know he also like to expose himself to other sports as well, and he already formed the habit of recording his movements during practice to review them that it may not be hard for him to take another step further in that direction. In fact, I am not sure how Japanese education system works, but it will be interesting if he can be a professor that lectures while does research on the side. (That way he can satisfied his urge to talk elaborately and be in the center of attention as well lol.) Another good profession can be an educational or advocational speaker considering how eloquent and thoughtful his words are. That way he can even travel across the world and speak to different audiences on figure skating and inspire people that way. I mean, there is only so much you can do as a commentator and the amount of people you can reach is quite limited. I think being a coach or a commentator is something he can pursue when he becomes much older if he is interested. Right now the possibilities for him are infinite. Of course, he himself is the only one that can choose the path he thinks is best for himself. He has so much to contribute to figure skating even after he retires (if he chooses to remain involved in this field) that no matter which career he chooses to pursue I am sure he will continue to be inspirational and respected by people. (Sorry I am rambling for quite a bit, I desperately need sleep.) ETA: In his second interview, the one with the Japanese press, he had mentioned something about how he loves to critically think, and to investigate where the problems lie within and to find their solutions, which I personally think it is an important trait in research!
  15. On top of that, what's even more impressive to me is he was able to achieve all that even though he must be quite tired from all the media exposure. He really put effort into making his answers meaningful (or in some cases humorous). I always feel privileged to be able to listen to his answers and gains some insight on his mentality and thought process. It is always interesting no matter how much interviews he had done before.
  16. I believe this in response to the question whether he would like to exchange the pooh bears and flowers he received for money (? I think) which makes his words and message even better. So he said it is enough for him if his performances make people feel happy.
  17. Haha, apparently he went hard on the ones asking the questions lol. I saw someone posted that he answered something along the lines of if Nathan had scored higher than him in SP, he would changed his FS layout. For Shoma's, he said because of the score difference he was certain he would win when he finished his FS, even if Shoma had landed his 4Lo successfully. (Take it with a grain of salt until someone more competent in Japanese translated it.) But yeah, Japanese reporters I am staring hard at you guys.
  18. Looks like the Japanese conference is quite... I really like how he says he dislike questions on "what if" (or is it the term "what if" he doesn't like?)... apparently reporters kept asking him what if Nathan didn't make mistakes in SP, or that if Shoma had landed the 4Lo...
  19. No chills... where did his chills go ETA:
  20. https://yuzusorbet.tumblr.com/post/171304186202/brian-orsers-interview-in-korean-news-24-feb The Korean media Orser gave the interview to. (Remember the infamous Yuzu-Orser interaction)
  21. Looks like drought is not upon us yet
  22. Looking at the clips, isn't the NHK documentary coming out? Today or soon? I saw someone posted how it was sad maybe?
