  1. Is there a practice video of Chopin? No? The pops in Seimei didn't look too bad really, looked like he was taking it a little easy.
  2. Loaded for me after refreshing twice too. So...
  3. If there's a photo, it isn't loading for me, but yaaayyy anyway!
  4. Yeah, I gave up all thought of working and started reading. I wonder if more caffeine is a bad idea or if I could maybe handle it...
  5. I am much calmer than I was earlier. Now perhaps I can stop eating chocolate and get some of my work done. To everybody here today, especially @Yatagarasu and you for doing the impossible. Or at least the highly improbable.
  6. I know, right? Left to myself and my imagination, I'd have convinced myself that he's gone full zombie or something by now.
  7. I absolutely agree. Imagine if Luggage decided Yuzu was his rightful owner. Unwelcome photographers and not-quite-honest judges would never be heard of again.
  8. @Aotoshiro Pratchett is my go-to for when I need calming down, or cheering up, or revving up, or... Well, anything, to be honest. Miss his presence in the world so much but... Gnu Terry Pratchett. Meeting a fellow Discworld fan here, it's a good sign, right? I'll take all good signs.
  9. Ruffles! Frills! Sparkles! It must be fun to do costumes for him. But he probably micromanages terribly.
  10. You are so... sane and comforting. I feel like Nanny Ogg just told me things are going to be fine. (Not that I'm saying you're Nanny Ogg, she's just the most comforting character I've ever come across in fiction.) Yes, I'm sure they'd never risk him for a competition like ACI if they weren't all sure he could handle it, even if it's a simplified layout. DEfinitely not Olympic season.
  11. Since I saw the medals after the lotte pie and tim tams comparisons were mentioned, I quite like them, too. Anyway, I like texturing like that. I'm pleb enough to think that makes things classy.
  12. I hope he listens to Brian. I think he will, though. It's Olympic season, I think he's very focused on that goal. He won't take risks because he's got a long-term plan for a non-kuyashii gold. I hope.
  13. Cookie medals and injury news. Oh dear. *reaches for antacid already*
  14. Let me thank the admins and mods, too. I'd never have plucked up the nerve to comment on a FS forum at all if PH didn't exist. Unless I was really going on adrenaline and rage, I might have if I'd been around when that whole... thing... went down. But what you've created here is really amazing. It feels like a real community, there's no belittling of anybody no matter what as long as rules are followed. The internet could do with more corners like this, generally, too. So really...
  15. It must be difficult to deal with that level of fame. The expectations that come with it...
  16. Ah, feel better soon! You have to be strong to take potential YOLO-ing. Donut sounds good, too. Good thing I'm not an athlete, the competing would have me so out of shape so fast... I baked cookies first thing in the morning and I'm about to palm them off on all the kids around before I eat them all. My Yuzu-stress-baking started with banana bread and got steadily unhealthier from there...
  17. All the pacifiers. Oh God how did you all stand it, my first actual season and I'm breaking out in cold sweat. Despite beer and choc chunk cookies.
  18. I've never baked pumpkin pie. It's a bit too humid and hot to get pastry crust right here, I have to turn cooling on before doing it lol. Ahh strawberry shortcake. Maybe more stressbuster baking.
  19. Yes, but now we have competitions to worry about, so... *more deep breaths* Getting over it. Fast-forwarding process.
  20. Aahh Like baking any kind of custard, then. Similar principle. It's a good way to keep cheesecake from cracking on top, too. I wonder what kind of dessert Yuzu likes. Apart from chocolate, which he obviously likes.
  21. Yeah, that's the thread I saw and ran away. I understand subjectivity. I understand 'Yeah, fine, he's just not the kind of skater I like' type of sentiment. Sure, great. I hate peanut butter and I know people who hate chocolate. I'll bake them peanut butter cookies, even. I honestly haven't fallen for Evgenia's skating because the Tanos and (to my eyes) the slightly jarring-to-choreography steps before jumps don't appeal to me. But I do know that my personal feeling notwithstanding, she's an exceptional skater, and that her strategy makes the most of the scoring system, and isn't really a reflection on her skating skills. I wish they'd have a similar sentiment about skaters they don't like. Even if it's Yuzu. Ugh I haven't been on this planet long enough to achieve zen about this, apparently. *deeeeeeep breaths* *let go*
