I just have found this
-
Brian sounds optimistic in the latest video. I believe Yuzu doesn't need crutched already, but I definitely need some more reassuring news for the sake of my sanity . IIrc in the WD message he asked to let him focus on his goals, so I guess any pressure from media now is not welcome. For me it would be enough just to know that he is in Toronto already as this will mean that he is ready to step on the ice again.

Probably you are right, I am just thirsty for news
-
I have seen it already somewhere quite a while ago.
-
Now I am really curious about the article
-
Article about Yuzu in today's newspaper. Can somebody translate what it is about, please?
-
It seems that Yuzuru won some kind of sports award from Asahi TV
-
I am sorry, I searched my TL, but I can't find it anymore .
-
ETA From automatic translation of other tweets I understand that 4Lz will probably stay according to Brian, but I am not sure if he actually said that.

I just want to add something more to the "fanyus-don't-care-about-other-skaters" discussion. It is true that many fans travel thousands of kilometers just to see Yuzu. Probably they wouldn't do that for others skaters. But in order to go to competitons you have to make some sacrifices: 1. money for tickets, hotels, flights and food 2. vacations days 3. time with your family As much as I would like to go to more FS competitions I can afford only few of them. So I'll go only to the ones where my favourite skater competes. It is as simple as that. Fans of other skaters probably do the same and there is nothing wrong with it. In Yuzuru's case it is more noticeable just because he has MANY fans.

This is my case as well. I had watched figure skating since I was a child, but lost interest at some point. And I returned to figure skating because of Yuzu (and even started to skate myself). This doesn't mean I watch only him, actually I root for many skaters. But of course he has a very special place in my heart.

Brian talking about Yuzu!

I am happy to hear from Brian himself that the injury is not serious and the ligament is not torn. There weren't any real updates about the seriousness of it apart from those news articles with people opining on the injury without actually seeing it. But from the start I was slightly optimistic about it since Ghislain said that Yuzuru could skate and jump(!) on the day of WD. And once he is allowed to skate TCC will be the best place for him to focus on his goals while others still have to struggle throughs GPs and GPF. April showers bring May flowers.

No wedding on GPF podium this time . As for Shoma's comment, he actually hasn't said anything bad. I am glad most of fans didn't overreact to it.

Misha was right!

Voronov doesn't have children yet afaik

It makes me wish for more footage like this. Iirc they did something like this for Ghana CM. Or just painted the ice in red

I was wondering the same but I was almost sure it's him. They just cropped the background.

I still think that Plushenko was sincere about praising Yuzuru at the P&G event yesterday. Probably some part of it was PR, I wouldn't deny it and we know Plushenko earns big $$$ from his shows in Japan. But his recent interviews for Russian media show how much he admires Yuzuru and Plushenko doesn't need to say that in Russia. In the most recent one (source) when asked which current skater could skate his iconic programs, he said that only Yuzuru could do them justice. In the same interview he also said that both Patrick and Javi still have great chances to medal at Olys.
