On 19 July 2022 Yuzuru has announced at a press conference his decision to turn professional. This thread compiles all the stuff - news, videos, translation snippets, messages to Yuzu from people in the skating world, etc. - related to his decision by quoting the posts from the General Yuzuru Chat (pages 7209 to ca. 7295), in chronological order from 18 July, Monday to 24 July Sunday, 2022.

This is a translation thread of one of the articles. The biggest new information for me was that Yuzu has reserved the press conference place and time for some time ago, so what ever it is, it is not something sudden but rather something he has known for some time. Also the article is written in hopeful way, not retirement way. But I doubt the journalist knows anything more than we right now.

Editing the whole post, because Lae posted possible livestreams in one post. Disclaimer: we will see if they are showing the press conference only when the time comes. All of these are working without VPN.

Once again editing with qq-stream
