    It was such a treat to have English subtitles during the narrated and monologue parts of GIFT, wasn't it? I'm glad things worked out for Yuzuru's team, since we weren't expecting to have them during the live stream While rewatching GIFT yesterday, I paid closer attention to the credits shown to see who the translator was—Alexander Farrell / LIBER was credited. I Googled Alexander's name and found out that he's a freelance translator and also photographer and writer based in Kyoto. His website is https://www.kyotoandbeyond.com/ I decided to send Alexander a message of thanks for his work, and for helping to bring Yuzuru's vision for GIFT to life I actually got a reply from Alexander today and I'm posting his response to me below, with his permission: Since Alexander is in Japan, I let him know that he can watch GIFT on Disney+ and he said that he'd check it out
