  1. I looked at the ice closely and did my eyesight deteriorate, or were the organisers inspired by Notte Stellata and tried to combine FS with another Olympic sport? I'm pretty sure this rink was partly adjusted for swimming...

Gift in tokyodome was so iconic. I wonder if he'll try to do anything on that scale again.

Whatever he does in the future, it won't be the same. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that had such an impact because we were not prepared for it, and because of the timing of it - a turning point in his life and ours (as fans), a truly cathartic experience after all he had suffered. I would call it, from an anthropological point of view, a rite of passage. Such things are, by definition, unrepeatable.

The inspiration for the lego sculpture and Yuzu in his under sea costume

Yuzu is the Muse for art

With this graphic comparison it looks like... he is Fuji-sama here? :ohmygod:

Yuzu's AERA photo was spotted at an exhibition in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston 🥰

This is the Yuzu photo :tumblr_inline_mto5i3wxFW1qid2nw:

    [NEWS]

Well, that's the right place :nod2: I'm not a fan of this particular photo, but he himself is a work of art ;)

Edit: I like the comment from the Museum, so on point!

Edit 2: Their tweet is on its way to becoming one of the most viewed and liked on their profile 😂

listen to him give a lengthy and detailed description of the finer points of skate-lacing...

Actually, I'd like to hear from him on this 😂 I still haven't found the right way to lace up my skating boots quickly, effectively and effortlessly, it really baffles me how he can do that.

I hope one day he records some kind of masterclasses, let it be advanced or seemingly basic stuff. I love all sorts of "how to's" in general, when they come from experts with a deep understanding of body and movement, and his way of thinking, feeling his body, and the demonstrations like the one with 'how to turn your arm into a wing'  from Prologue (his lines there... ) would be something I could definitely pay for.

Me too…but ehem… Yuzu could you maybe consider to make your next SharePractice at Tokyo Dome?!  No need for anything else other than the ice, music and you:tumblr_inline_mzx8s4JRlX1r8msi5:

    We are so spoiled! :xD:

  7. Hi, @mei_yuzu! :welcome: Thank you for your story! I know a lot of people are upset and uncomfortable about interacting on the forum, but I am actually very happy to hear so many different (yet still somehow similar) 'how I got Yuzu-ed' stories.

I dunno if it's okay to say this, but I only watched GIFT twice and couldn't do it again. I loved it, I truly do, but it's also very depressing for me even if it comes with a happy ending. it resonates personally too much and it's just painful. I can watch the clips though, just not the full show in one go. Maybe I'm the only fanyu feeling this way.. :(

I cry almost every time I see it, not necessarily during the same moments. Although, for me, the show as a whole ultimately has a purifying effect, for a couple of weeks I put aside everything I could because I couldn't handle more feelings at once. I think that our reactions just prove how profound and authentic a piece of art the GIFT is.

I've never been a fan of anyone before, didn't even understand how a person could be that invested in other persons...

In my case it is exactly the same. I had my favorites, of course, but they aroused my emotions only during competitions - in between I didn't bother with them.

  10. I wonder... Iirc, people from TV Asahi were involved in the production of GIFT. Do you think there is a chance for TV broadcast in a few month? While part of me would like this to remain as something special, a one-off, and only between him and his fans, I can't stand that this masterpiece is not more widely known and discussed. A TV broadcast would allow random people to see it and fall down the rabbit hole.

The ordinary ice shows will continue to limp along, of course, but the attendance at those will largely be determined by the presence or absence of Yuzu in those shows, since Yuzu is the greatest guarantee of a sold-out performance in the history of the ice show just as he was the guarantee of a sold-out arena in any competition in which he participated.

I wouldn't be so sure. SOI tickets are still unsold, even if there was already a first come, first served phase. I'm afraid fanyus will boycott these shows, and it won't be good for Yuzuru, imo.

My head is still all over the place since GIFT and returning home etc, I am totally lost about NS - are NTV broadcasting one of the NS shows?? Which one if so?? Is it live or after the event?? I know I registered with some ticket thingy before I went to Japan, was that for NS? why did I register? I have no idea lol!! Were we hoping to get a livestream or something? Please help!!!

The only option now is to register on Hulu Japan (free) and buy a ticket for one, two or all three events on Hulu Store. It's not available with Hulu monthly subscription. Did you buy a ticket for live streaming on Hulu Store?

  13. Do you think that news every will re-broadcast NS? There is no 'miss performance' or even pause/rewind option on Hulu Store for this event. And what about their YT? They know there is international interest in anything Yuzu related, in the recent program with him as a special guest they even released an extended version on YT with non-broadcast parts.

We may not get it, this is not as big as GIFT and not solo, so... I hope someone may find a way to stream the HULU one for people.

Honestly, I would be surprised if he didn't make use of his experience of streaming the Gift. The purpose of Notte stellata is to commemorate victims and contribute to the reconstruction efforts of the region. What better way to do this than to allow his fans to pay for the streaming? Unless there are some legal issues or the sales analysis for Gift has lead to disappointing conclusions.
