We're not quite sure what the extent of the ankle injury is (even now) and we probably never will. But I trust that Yuzu and his team (and his family) won't let him compete if it was a career ending injury. Yes, they made compromises - easier quads, painkillers.. but they were also smart with practices and not overdoing it.

I think... it's really bittersweet for us fans but, for Yuzu, it was worth it. I haven't seen him so happy and grateful as I had in the flower and medal ceremony. /And now whenever I watch the Chsq of Seimei where he was just beaming and you just felt his joy I cry.../ ETA: I cry tears of joy because I'm so happy for him.

Yuzu... you've fulfilled your dream. You sacrificed everything for it. You deserve the world and more. I truly believe that this isn't his last competition. In my heart I know he'll be back. The ice is his home. But for now, please have a rest.
