hi all! late with this post (been busy with offline life). i have managed to attend worlds'22! despite the obvious sadness of Yuzuru not being able to attend, i still managed to enjoy the event despite everything. it was my first ever live FS event, and not having a sharp eye for technical details turned out to be an advantage this time (LOL) one of the highlights was meeting fellow fanyus. thank you all so much, it's been a joy.
-
thanks a lot! this gives me enough information already. i use fountain pens most of the time, and i guess the diary won't fit my writing habits. well, more money to buy photo books, right? XD
-
if you could share photos, that would awfully kind of you! is paper smooth/glossy or more textured? how does it behave with fountain and gel pens?
-
does anyone have any previous version to share their observations? i'm a stationery nerd, so already have too many planners, but if paper is of good quality, i want this!
-
books... all of them!! i won't buy magazines, since i don't know any japanese (despairs for their younger self's language choices) but my wallet will weep for the photo books for sure
-
thank you, Rockstaryuzu and Yuzurella, for your eloquent wisdom. i'm still a baby fanyu (discovered him at the start of 2021, before the stockholm) and your posts help a lot
-
you and everyone else XD within last couple of hours i finally reached zen state of "whatever happens, happens"
-
what a question!!!! i think for me it would be Notte Stellata
-
you're right. as long as our light and sunshine is happy and healthy
-
if we in the guesswork field, then it could be farewell, or it could be getting closure for all things that bug him, starting with the best attempt of 4a (as Yuzuru stated on the press con), ending with skating clean POTO, with all this chaos in between. and after that - fresh start (i'm trying my hardest not to fall in doom-and-gloom mood)
-
that would be nice! any european capital would be such a boon for me. ready to fly/drive/cycle/walk to the venue

i can see that you are reading in translation, while i'm writing in english. no harm meant towards Mishin, "grumpy old man" is a figure of speech, meant to reflect his general behaviour on camera. take offence somewhere else
-
glad to help! we have so many wonderful people translating from japanese, i am only happy to help with the meagre content in russian. though, not much of it is even worth anyone's attention, if i'm honest.
-
hi native russian speaker here. the original says "не удался". it can be translated both as "fail" and "didn't work". interview is short, but in conjuction with Mishin's following "this does not diminish his input into history of figure skating" I'm willing to give Mishin a benefit of doubt, and read it as "didn't work this time". but hey, are we surprised that Mishin, archetypal grumpy old man, is being cautious? [edited for a typo]

for the sake of my blood pressure, i choose to see lack of practice today as the sign that Yuzu is finally listening to his doctor
