Shoma skates so beautifully
I really hope he will be the dominating skater for at least one season before the youngsters will overtake him. He has been in Yuzu‘s shadow literally all his life, he deserves it now.
-
Shae and Yuzu met "at her request"? What does that mean? Shae needed to arrange a TV interview to be able to meet Yuzu? He wouldn‘t have met her without TV?
And also, that means they didn‘t work on a new program, right?
-
It is unlikely that Yuzu has to pay for his training at night. If he rents Ice Rink Sendai at daytime, for example for SharePractice, it will cost him money, but not at night. He is Ice Rink Sendai’s adopted child. He has a key and can come and go whenever he wants when the rink is closed.
And also, he doesn‘t practice 30 days in a month because he takes two days off every week.

So many Jeff interviews, but all from before the press conference. He is the only one from Yuzu‘s coaches/choreographers who has not given at least one long interview after Yuzu‘s announcement…
-
Why don’t I get notifications for Yuzu‘s channel? I allowed notifications for youtube and activated them for his channel. Now I get all kinds of useless notifications for other stuff, but none for Yuzu…
-
I can‘t believe Ice Jewels Vol. 17 does only have a five-minute-speed-interview
I have now 21 SharePractice interviews. Three are still missing. I won‘t get them all, will I?

Thank you, Johnny. I am happy that Yuzu has you as a friend. I hope to see both of you together at FaOI one last time next year!
-
I am so busy with translating all that stuff that I am actually relieved that AWW forgot to post TV Asahi Part 3 today
Thank you, Nanami-sensei. I didn‘t know you are married to the man who takes care for Yuzu‘s skates. Happy belated 50th birthday!

I am in the middle of Nanami Abe‘s 2021 interview, and I just realised how much I miss the Yuzu from 2020-21 season. He had such a special mindset back then…

I didn‘t know that 13-year old Yuzu wanted to do Intro & Rondo instead of Rachmaninoff
(I just hope that he will eventually learn to love Ronkapu again. It still hurts me that he doesn‘t
).

"It doesn't matter whether I am confident or not, whether I am good or not, but whether I am serious about what I want to do. I think it's whether or not I want to do it."
"I had the feeling that until the Beijing Olympics, my nine-year-old self would say to me, 'You can do more' or 'Don't be so weak at that point'. But after I finished as an amateur and turned pro, I don't think about that so much anymore. Maybe it's because I'm no longer bound by evaluations that I'm able to say to myself, 'I'm better than I used to be' about my skating."

"Over the past few years he has developed into an incredibly charismatic and extraordinary performer, even more so than he was before. He has a charisma that is so rare that you can feel it pouring out of his ears and nose. Yuzu's charisma was enough to transform the whole skating world. As soon as he steps onto the ice, there is nobody but him. He takes complete control of the moment. It's hard to put into words how and why that happens. But whatever it is, Yuzu 'has it'.
Shae-Lynn 'had it' as well. Her charisma was just incredible. In that sense, her influence on Yuzu goes beyond choreography. Shae's attitude towards practice and work, her detailed preparation, and the way she always radiated charisma. I feel that through the time they spent together, this aspect may have been transferred to him through their relationship."
Thank you, David. For working with him, for stepping back to let him find the right people, for working with him again. For all your five programmes. For your emotional response to him. And for your words about him and Shae that really gave me a new perspective.
I hope we will see him working with you again in the future.

Whatever updates they have made with deepL recently, it is not an improvement. Really it has become so difficult to find the best translation instead of the one that deepL wants.
I just hope it won‘t become even worse in the furure…

I would do anything to see Yuzu‘s English translation of 'Raison' that he made for David Wilson…

Since the overlaid parts in 'Dreamy Aspiration' are in black and white, I don't think it is meant to represent his current reality ("I have my wings now!").
It's either a supernatural being or, more likely, Yuzu himself in his dreams / hopes / wishes: he couldn't realise what he wanted, but he grabs it again and sends his wishes to Heaven…

Thank you, Shae. Your thoughts and words, as always, have a very special inner beauty. Thank you for your work with him, for your love and trust and for your spirituality.
"Strangely enough, when I entered the rink with him, I felt like I was stepping into some kind of 'holy space', although the word 'church' might not be appropriate. It is when we are alone in that space that he is most free and open."
"Our time together is rather like a spiritual experience, or something like that. "
"I think he can experience people's energy. (…) Being able to feel a connection with him and his presence is something that happens in a very deep place. That's why people can take that feeling in their hearts and keep it there forever."
(It seems that the interview was taken around the time of FOI, and Shae didn‘t have any upcoming projects planned with him then?)

Taketoshi Hara:
"Javier (Fernandez) also came to Hanyu and sat next to him and talked with him for a long time. It was a wonderful scene. I think Hanyu said something like "I don't want it to end, I don't want to say goodbye to you, Javi" in English, and it was lovely that Javier, while consoling him, said "Yes, I understand, I'm going to miss you, too. I understand, but you haven't signed my pamphlet yet, Yuzu, so please sign my pamphlet", and he was standing next to him with the pamphlet and a pen (laughs).
Their relationship was so great that it was both heartwarming and funny."
