  3. Yuzu went back to Toronto already on the past weekend! https://www.sponichi.co.jp/sports/news/2017/11/22/kiji/20171122s00079000160000c.html
  5. ou Saori Yoshida answers two questions from Yuzu. Here you can hear his voice. Yuzu: "Which picture is used in my CM?" "When did I become an ambassador of P&G campaign?" (rough translation, sorry.)
  6. But that day, Yuzu did RT of SEIMEI, right? Everybody saw he did run through of SEIMEI without jumps because he was injured right before How come Max and Angelo thought Yuzu tried 4Lz for SP?
  7. You are already well prepared Station or arena, that's a big question. I've never been to 大阪市中央体育館, and I've been to Osaka only twice in my whole (rather long) life, I'm quite unfamiliar to the place. But last year in Sapporo, I remember seeing people who wanted tickets standing near the station and along the road leading to the arena. Anyway, on Friday you will be able to check around the station and decide where is the best place to ask for the ticket next day! I really wish you good luck!!! I could manage to get the tickets for three days (the seat for Saturday is only Stand A, though) Yet, I am so nervous right now that I don't know if I can enjoy the competition. Actually, I am looking forward to seeing Yuzu's EX most... I'm a coward...
  8. I really don't know if it will work, but last night I read that some people would sell their spare tickets at full retail price to people who would stand near the arena or the station with boards on which "チケット譲ってください"(I want a ticket)is written. Every competition, I see those people with boards (thick paper or something like that) standing near the venue. I don't know how many of them actually can get tickets, but if you want to try your luck at the last time, it's worth while doing it. Maybe you should write "I came to see Yuzu from Australia!" to draw the attention. Getting a ticket of Saturday through twitter may be extremely difficult because everybody wants it.
  9. iirc Yuzu hates heights. I remember he said that at time of Sendai parade. He said something like "I was a bit scared (of standing on the truck) because I don't like heights." So he may not like roller coasters, but yes, I'm also very curious of seeing his reaction Kohei Uchimura also hates roller coasters since he has a height phobia I have to agree to this...
  10. Yuzu said he plans 4 lutz in his free. But...I don't know he should.... I'm shocked somehow.
  11. This news clip includes Yuzu's latest (very short) interview. He sounds very calm. I also read somewhere that tonight's 報ステ(TV Asahi news) will air the latest news about Yuzu but I'm not sure if it's true. I'll watch it just in case.
  12. Yes, I think you're right; he plays on words. Also, yes, 一生懸命 is the word we use daily. My impression is that he presented a very familiar word, but by emphasizing the true meaning of the word, he showed us how much he determined. Were you a Yuzu fan back then? Now we know that he didn't have concussion, but at that time, when he was about to skate his free, I didn't know how serious his injury was or if he had concussion. I was afraid he would literally risk his life by skating. My heart was full of fear and despair while watching his 4 mintues and 30 seconds. I couldn't sleep at all that night so I went to read many fan blogs and everybody talked about that phrase "命を削って" being not literal... Come to think of it, COC 2014 is very traumatic for me and that's why his words made me a bit nervous. As I wrote the above, Yuzu just plays on words, so nothing to worry about.
  13. I'm Japanese (and not so young haha). Do I use 命を懸けるa lot? Actually, I've never used the phrase in my whole life except when I was at school. We used to play like "それ本当? 命懸ける?""嘘だよ、でもほら!", writing 命 on the paper. 懸ける and 書ける(can write) have the same pronunciation. Sorry, Anyway, I've never used it because I have never challenged something so hard in my life... and I feel like the words have certain weight though of course it shouldn't be taken literally. I believe Yuzu said it as metaphor, to show how determined he is. I just feel nervous as his words were literal in 2014, but Yuzu has grown and learned many things since. He will be fine.
  14. 命を懸ける means "do something even if I die" I felt a bit uncomfortable when I read that Yuzu said this because I still remember Yuzu said the similar thing "命を削ってでも” (even if my life is shortened)in 2014 off season. Then there happened COC accident and his surgery, and everybody knows he didn't stop skating. I am wondering his condition might not be perfect right now. On the other hand, in the video, he didn't sound that serious. I took his words too seriously perhaps? Anyway, I really want him to know whatever happens, his skate make many people (ridiculously) happy and will be the same in the future. I am also kind of looking forward to attending his shows after the Olympics. I know Yuzu wants the gold, but... please take care of your body, don't think too much. Enjoy your life!
  15. It was a prize of Mainichi Sports Award. Sadly, at that time (2015 January) he was recovering from surgery and couldn't attend the ceremony. We all thought big tuna would be very nutritious and good for his body but also wondered how on earth he and his family could cook and eat it! (We don't know till today.) By the way the name of tuna was TUNA PRINCESS.
  16. News every. He says "I want to do what I can do now, not paying (too much) attention to my body." (Sorry for poor direct translation.) I just hope he won't push himself so much!
  17. I don't remember it was in the video or in the article. I clearly remember the phrase 「お母さんがとても動揺していたので」, so it may have been Japanese article.
  18. Actually, Yuzu talked to his Mom after the treatment and before the second 6 minute warm-up. Brian said so in his interview. She was so shaken and Yuzu tried to calm her down. I suppose Yuzu told her that he was alright and he'd decided to skate his FP. I can't imagine how she felt hearing that!
  19. Has anybody read the Pirouette (No.7/2017)? https://myjunkisyuzuruhanyu.tumblr.com/post/165257730323/in-the-new-issue-of-the-pirouette-no72017-is-a According to the above blog, Brian says 4 Lutz is in the plan for this season, which is perhaps not so surprising news for us, but I'm just wondering if it's correct translation and in what context Brian refers to it. (Sorry for my messy English.) What! New CM?! Now I have to go and see it!
  20. Yes! Arm movement is very Nanami-sensei's style. I wonder how it would look like if Yuzu skated this program. Just a small correction. Mitsuki is coached by Yoshinori Ohnishi who used to coach Tatsuki Machida. I remember reading an interview about two years ago where Mitsuki was asked "Who do you respect most as a skater?" he answered without hesitation "Hanyu Yuzuru senshu desu." His fellow skater (I forgot his name...) laughed. It seemed like Mitsuki was supposed to say "Machida Tatsuki-senshu desu."
  21. Completely , but here's the free program of Mitsuki Sumoto who won JGP Riga yesterday. He is a huge fan of Yuzu, and this program is choreographed by Nanami Abe! I love Nanami-sensei's programs and this one is no exception Mitsuki's jumps and the nice flow after them remind me of Yuzu's a lot. I'm sure Yuzu is watching this video in Toronto
  22. I was thinking just the same. That earthquake has been reported repeatedly since this morning in Japan. (M8.1 is huge and Tsunami often comes across the Pacific ocean when there is an earthquake in South America, so we were alarmed today.) I hope Hydroblade and other Yuzu fans in Mexico are safe and I also send my deepest sympathy to those affected.
  23. Yes, I agree with you, especially about this: the final decision is Yuzuru's only. Just when I read that magazine, I read through Yuzu's detailed explanation of the plan of jumps in SEIMEI, "First I will do 4Lo, then 4S, 3F and then....." I turned the page and found Brian saying "There's nothing definitive." I was like "What?" But now that I read it again, Brian also says, "It's a problem for Yuzu, not mine. He is testing Lutz and Axel, but we have to think strategically and intelligently. There are skaters who jump (4)Lutz and (4)Flip. We don't necessarily need to do those jumps. I think we have many other weapons. (Brian explains about +3GOE jumps for both Yuzu and Javi) That's why we have to think about it really well. I think Yuzu and Javi have enough chance to win under the current situation." If I would speculate from these words, perhaps Yuzu might have wanted to add 4Lutz or at least think of the possibility of adding it , but Brian is opposed to it?? Yuzu was finally convinced and decided to try the conservative jump plans at least for ACI? I don't know... Only I can do is just wait and see how the things will go. 4A seems unrealistic to me for now, but who knows?
