Not Yuzu related, but we have potential updates on the TE ceremony delay. Apparently inside sources are saying ROC are under investigation for doping and ISU are releasing an update sometime today from Beijing.

I mean yeah maybe avoid Twitter, it's a hellhole, but in this instance I was talking about a chat thread under the ISU championships section here on the planet

Yeah re: JSF I have zero clue why they're like this, especially because it isn't representative of the overall attitude of Japan as a country towards Yuzu - they love him. You'd think that JSF would see Yuzu's success both with the public in Japan and internationally and boost him up but they just... don't. Like, ISU I'd expect that attitude cause they always try push RusFed or US federation, but JSF genuinely boggles my mind.

In some ways, not going into the FS as a gold contender or defending top SP is great for us because it can't possibly get worse than it is now so either he'll stay off podium or he'll do amazingly and podium. No stress for us having to worry about him defending from the top of the leaderboard, just anticipation for 4A and tenchi

Also, anyone know if we'll get Yuzu practice content today?

@Omoshiroi_Zuzuabsolutely agree about the press conference part, goodness knows he would've had to deal with media attempting to tear him apart His jumps are smooth as butter. No one else jumps the way he does

What I love about seeing so many people rallying around Yuzu is it really cements him as the GOAT. In 5 years, it's not going to be Nathan or Shoma or Yuma that people remember, it'll be Yuzu, regardless of what results he gets in this Olympics

Aljona Savchenko just put up a post basically saying she believes in Yuzu and miracles... it's nice to see some of the skating greats rallying around their fellow royalty

I was watching team women's SP yesterday and my family got so sick of me dissecting every skate and its scores 😂

Gosh I wish I wasn't nervous but seeing the scoring from teams events I can't help it lol

I love that they had his name on the protective gear, it makes the arrival feel a bit more human. I'm happy Beijing are taking covid seriously obviously but it is so odd without the audience/crowd factor.

Yeah I've been looking at more news and it's actually very mixed messages, he's there, he's not, he's coming today, who knows. I just saw what Beijing Daily put up and hoped it was accurate

I'm relying on fan translations of Chinese news outlets so I'm just hoping they're accurate

Okay I don't know how to link articles or anything but according to Beijing daily News Yuzu is in Beijing now. Although I've also seen on Twitter that some news outlets have said that he isn't staying at the Olympic village? Hard for me to confirm bc I'm relying on English news or translations
