As a sheltered Asian myself who's still living with my mom even though I technically shouldn't be, I don't find it all that surprising for Yuzu's mom to be doing all of the cooking, daily chores, etc. It's also not surprising for Yuzu to not be able to cook as I can't either and I'm a girl (and generally girls are expected to go into the kitchen earlier). It's a cultural thing, but for Asians to live with their parents until they're in their 20s is not abnormal. Westerners might find that strange, but it's really not if viewed from an Asian perspective. And I totally agree with what you said about brilliant people failing in things we'd consider easy or ordinary. There has to be some sort of balance, so if you're super good at one thing, you will have to 'compensate' by not being good with other things. Yuzu certainly isn't the only case. They say super talented people are always different in many ways from the rest of us

I just showed my sister the Chinese Vogue article that featured Yuzu's costumes just so she could choose which one was her favorite. She was shook when we got to the Believe costume from FaOI I then showed her the actual performance so she could see the costume in motion. She said her favorite costume is probably Hana ni Nare. And she said Yuzu has the most beautiful costumes out of the male skaters

Watched some parts of the parade this morning. The number of people there Not that I'm surprised or anything, but it's still crazy to see. Power of the King He was so cute throughout the entire thing. It must have been tiring to constantly wave and say thank you, but as always he conducted himself in such a professional but warm manner. Such a precious human being I'm so glad I decided to come out of hiding and join in the craziness of the fandom right now. It's so exhilarating to be a part of this insane Yuzu-culture. I feel like 10 or 20 years from now I"ll still look back on this time of my life and reminisce about how fun it was to be a Yuzu fan Of course, I hope he'll be around for years to come Thanks everyone for keeping the forum so active!

I think a Google Doc is a good idea. I use it frequently for school and so far there haven't been any issues.

Funny how how he invests so much time and effort into his skating costumes but off ice he doesn't care His popularity just keeps on growing and growing at an amazingly fast pace, I swear. I can't believe I found out about him in 2015 only to become immersed in the fandom now I'm in multiple fandoms and this is my only non-music, non-movie fandom. Yuzu is just that amazing . This is the second forum where I've been pretty active (the first was a Taylor Swift forum ) and it's been so fun . I'm checking for new posts several times throughout the day even when I should be studying I'm so glad I decided to participate instead of just silently reading. And I'm amazed at the number of pages we've generated just in this thread alone in just a year! Never underestimate the power of Fanyus I stan a legend.

Yuzu can skate anything and I"ll be on full-blast fangirl mode, but my personal preferences would be him skating to some ~dramatic, intense, fiery rock or classical piece. Something that signals the return of the king Or I'm just thirsty for I-don't-even-try-to-be-sexy-but-I-am Yuzu

After Pyeongchang I tried to show some Yuzu videos to my friends but that didn't go too well I was so excited and gushed about him through chat but I'm not even sure if they watched the videos lol You'd think seeing art in motion would trigger more reactions but alas I've kinda given up trying to convert them to any of my fandoms. Thankfully my sister is a casual fan so I can talk to her about him. I love my friends but I guess our tastes are too different
